One of the best boat ride in Kerala. It was a very good experience. The Golden Island boat tour was breath taking. They have very good customer service. Drove down to visit the Ponnumthuruthu island and discovered the Nova kayaking services. Immediately joined a group for a kayaking session to the island. Services were excellent and our guide Mr. Shajith was very friendly, very confident with taking care of us and a very friendly and jovial person. He made the kayaking journey and exploration of the island even more interesting with his good knowledge of the history of the place sprinkled with jokes in between. He also took pictures of us kayaking to make the experience more memorable. Overall had a great experience and was very happy with the experience. Definitely would recommend this to anyone visiting.

Its been a while since i had a family trip, we had a free time this weekend and decided to go with nova .We went there around 4:30 pm and it was about 2 hours trip yeah. MANN the evening viewww wass damnn! I cant even explain how beautiful it was to do the Kayaking !!!!Well this was one of the first and best experience i ever had. The instructor was very helpful yuppp he was there with us the whole time, for our needs and likes. We had a lot of good angled pictures in our mind but the instructor , muhusil uncle was one step ahead of us haha He captured a lot of beautiful pictures of ours just as we expected. My parents went on the " shikari boat ", they said that they had a great time as well. Indeed a memorable moment made. Thank you for making our lil weekend trip a unforgettable one. Nice place for spend your evenings Kayaking is available there. Rate is didn't tell if you not booking. I think 500per boat include 2 person. also small boats are available. One shikar boat is there. There is a small island,i forgot it's name. Overall good experience

Ponnumthuruthu or golden island was a mesmerizing experience. I have been to this place many a times and everytime there is something fresh and new about this place. The beauty of the island is breathtaking. There are not many tourists at this place which again adds to the serenity. There is a siva temple in the island. One of the drawback which i found was a lack of a clean rest room. Nearby there are small restaurants which also provide a decent view of the lake. We went to kayaloram restaurant which was well maintained with clean wash room. The food was also delicious. The meals was priced at 175 which included a fish fry, prawns theeyal and kakka thoran.

My friends and I drove to this place and we took the small boat. The ride was around 1 hour with a stop at the golden island where there were many mosquitos and a temple that was closed. We lacked information about the area from our driver. But if you want a relaxing break in the nature, it's for you. We paid 350 rupees per person

Nova Kayaking is one of the best place of Kayaking. We opted for a sunset tour around 4.30pm. Muhusul sir is a great and hard working person. I don't know swimming but he gave me so much confidence before riding into the Kayak boat that I was nailing at it. I definitely recommend Nova Kayaking to everyone and it must to do thing when you are in Varkala.

Nearly 10 kms from Varkala, a small road leads to this place. From there we went to the island temple by boat - Its just 10 minutes ride - reached beautiful temple for Siva Parvathi. This island is really exciting and beautiful, can hear sound of birds all the time and blessed place for nature lovers. You can go boating around the island also. Must visit place near Varkala

Visited during evening time on a weekday so there was no waiting time for us. Had a great experience. Mr. Sajith (instructor) was really nice and explained us how to do kayaking and also shared us everything about the island. His knowledge about the island is great. I would recommend anyone visiting this island should take kayaking instead of a boat ride if you want to have some wonderful experience.
