This place is an absolute magic.. Yes, the resort is located with a super beautiful riverbed, lush green cultivation to keep your mind in a peaceful state. The service provided is a sheer class of extraordinary. Being an architect himself, the design of the property looks antique with sexy sanitary, the owner acts like a Party Organizer in engaging with the guests. You will meet a Gentleman called Mr. Krishna Raj who works as a caretaker in which he deserves a huge respect for his customer service skills. Come on! If you want someone to interact all day in the favourite Coimbatore Accent, he is the right one. About food, it's in the top notch standard. Felt like home on having their bf, lunch and dinner as the quality talks more than the taste. Wishing everyone to experience this masterpiece of nature with gang of friends, loved ones and more.. Special Mention: Never stop being a hippo all day in the plunge pool out there..

We travelled with our 13 months old & 3 year old child. The reason for providing 2 rating is, 1. Its an open room [two side of the room, is just covered with mosquito net & cloth screen], Because of with we were not able to withstand the cold throughout the night. There is no way to stop the cold wind from outside entering the room. We were not provided with quilt because it was not washed. 2. Since the property is isolated, for any requirement we need to travel & its almost 4KM away from the nearest grocery store. & the reason for stating this is there is no kitchen in the resort & the food comes from outside in an auto that too only three times per day. [They don’t provide any snacks, So no four/five trips for the auto]. 3. They charge 5000/-for the room & 1000/- per head for the food. i'm sure they might not have spent more than 400/- including the auto charge for the food. Not sure why they are trying to make some money in food as well. They said you need to buy whatever you need from outside other than the three course meal. Food taste was good & quantity was too less [not even half filled]. 4. Since the rooms is on the river bank, the water is pulled directly from the river & supplied to the restroom & pool. The water is muddy & has particles in it. The water goes back to the river after usage. We got throat infection & this might be because of the water & open room. 5. Since the rooms are slippery better to have slippers 6. Car parking is risky because of the coconut tree. You need to take care while parking. & there are chances that coconut may fall over your head. 7. Though there is no frequent power cut, there is no power backup. 8. We need to be extra careful when we travel with our children’s at the pool side & dining area. The dining area is filled with aggregates jalli stone which makes the children to fall while they are walking or running. The main reason for writing such a detailed review is for people to know the facts. We read through the previous reviews & had too much expectation & we were totally disappointed. Both the food & stay were not satisfactory. I would say the stay was worst for us because of the cold wind inside the room throughout the night. Personally i feel this place may fit for bachelors or for couples & for couples with children’s I don’t recommend -----[Writing back for owners response] Thanks for your response & please understand that I never said you have hidden things or forced me to book. It was my decision to stay at your room after reading reviews & viewing those nice photos. I have clearly mentioned reason for written a detailed review. It's for people to understand better about the property & all those points are not complaints. You mentioned “May be this is not your kind of place.”, And I’m helping people like me. If you are willing you can take these suggestions, You can have additional set of quilts instead of providing bed sheets. Being an architect you should have taken care of Slippery floors, open pool (not private pool), unharvested coconut trees on the lawn & pathway, connecting direct river water to the pool & restroom & there are other ground cover options like paver blocks which are more safe. About the food I say it again, the taste was awesome but the quantity was not enough & it did not justify the 1000 rupees that we paid for each.Instead you can provide the menu card & the guests can place the order. Please have security cams at common areas. Please do have some courtesy for your guest, We have three unexpected happening in your property & one was so serious accident for which we rushed to the hospital & had stitches for the wound. You never called or whatsapp’ed to inquire about it.I didn’t expect this because you spoke well in person & over call. And finally, Please have a guest book. Don’t say that I did not enter, I was not informed about it. If you have the heart to accept 4 & 5 ratings, Please do accept the other ratings too, So that you can improve.

Absolute last minute planning and some research by my sister in law brought this lovely retreat to our attention. Nestled away in a vast coconut grove and right by the Aliyar river this is a really wonderful place to switch off and relax. Beautifully designed cottages that help you cosy up right away! Pollachi hospitality and warmth experienced at the farmstay thanks to thier really sweet and attentive staff. The river is not really accessible at most of its length but there are a couple of spots where you can dip your feet and sit down on the rocks and enjoy the gushing Aliyar. Take a short walk up the kakakothipaarai for a great view of the entire farm and a lovely sunset with a cup of hot tea. All in all definitely recommended for a quick getaway and relaxation.

Love the time I spent here. It's an ideal place to go to, for people who want to get away from the noise and pollution of the city, and spend some time in nature. It's quiet, healing and peaceful. Food is not provided and you'll have to travel at least 6-7 kms for restaurants, medical shops, or departmental stores. These should be taken into account while planning.

Wabi retreat is literally a treat for someone who loves to live along with the nature and the scenic view of the river. The ambience of the resort is so peaceful & it is built in such a way that, you will feel the uniqueness of architecture in every piece. Umapathi, the owner of wabi retreat guided us so well & Raju ,the care taker was taking care of us even in middle of the night. If you go as a family, then wabi retreat should be the first choice.

A beautiful serene farm house. If you are looking for a small staycation with friends or family to chill and enjoy, this is a must visit. Rooms are good and well maintained. The host and the caretaker are very friendly, kind and understanding. Food is not inclusive, the caretaker will arrange for it based on our choice from the nearest town. During the food run, you can also request them to bring you any other supplies and they don't hesitate and are very accommodating. Once you are there, you can see that lots of thought and care was put into the place to make your stay good and memorable. You forgot your brush? they have a new one for you. You want a camp fire? done. You want to listen to music but dont have a speaker? they have one for you. You want to swim? each cottage has a mini swimming pool that is filled with water from the adjacent river. 10/10 would recommend.

Had a warming stay at the resort. We did our yearly retreat event here with our team. We had a peaceful stay that is isolated from the busyness of city life. I'd highly recommend if you want to spend some peaceful time with greenery around you.

An excellent location. Awsome stay. Lovely service by Krishna Raju. But expensive considering the fact that for 6000 rupees per night you dont even get food. But if three or 4 people sharing the same room, then its worth.

Amazing location, great hospitality lovely calm & safe place to stay even with kids. The swimming pool water was too pure no chlorine was added and the water was directly from a nearby river. Very calm & nice place to relax with friends and family. We had a lovely stay and our caregiver was very kind and helpful.

If I say anything negative about the place, or the stay or the property or the service, i guess that will absolutely unfair and heartless on my part. If there is anything beyond 5 * , I will still rate it that high. I saw one of the other reviews about this place with a lot of complaints. Let me tell you, we went as two families with 3 kids less than 10yr old. We were absolutely fine. If u are ready to blend with nature and live in a space like that, this is a perfect spot. The cottages are a concept, so if one does not understand the value of it, no one can help. Oxide floor, grey walls, open bath rooms, private plunge pools, lush green all around, u get to live with nature. If some one is looking for ITC, Taj 5star hotel types this is not the one. But it is way ahead of those in their own kinds. If you are inside a coconut grove, coconuts will fall. But nothing fell on me or my car though. Likewise, the plunge pool is pumped in with river water directly, and hence dont expect it to be R.O types are filter water types. But it was fantastic feel when natural water hits ur body. Food was excellent. This is not a resort, but a private farm of 32 acres. There is a kitchen for basic needs only. Food is arranged from a nearby place and excellent will be an understatement to say. Very tasty and very healthy. Never did i feel it was from a restaurant. Felt like home cooked food and no adulteration. The owner Umapathy, kudos to you for having this place done in this way. The caretaker Raju, a typical village guy, who took care of us like a family member. The love, care and detailing in the service provided by the owner and his staff is impeccable. Given a chance i will be there as much as I can. Birds chirping and fresh air with no pollution around is a treat to be around. 3 days of heavenly feel, after a stressful year was at its best. I will go there again in the summer. Try this place and enjoy the experience with nature and the lovely people of this farm stay. I have been to several places and vacations in India, and by far this is the best!!!

Wish there was 2 more stars to provide for it was such an experience staying at WABI. The place, the service and the whole experience is soooo wonderful. The way Mr Sree Umapathy has designed the place and maintains it, is so neat and user-friendly. The caretaker on property, Mr Raju, makes your stay so comfortable as you have come to your grandparent's place, such pampering he does. If you are a nature lover and love being surrounded by green then this is the place to be. You'll have peacocks strolling and flying by the property. The sounds of various birds throughout the day and in night the cricket noises, just to remind how wonderful it is living in nature. 2 things to be mentally prepared for - first, the roads are narrow to reach the property on last kilometer or so and secondly, the food options will be limited considering we live away from main area. This is not a negative but a mindset to be ready with. You will have a blast of a time with camp fire, bath on streams and water tanks in each cottage, walk by paddy fields and climb on short boulders. A short drive can take you to riverbed nearby for a save bath in Aliyar river. Overall, it is a soul fulfilling holiday for our entire family.

WABI Retreat provided us a opportunity to experience a farm stay with group of friends. Rooms are simple but enough for a short stay. Amenities includes peaceful green fields, sit-outs, small pool, kitchen, soothing atmosphere and a little playground. Recommended for friends who want to get a short peaceful weekend. Not many service available, but food/things can be ordered through delivery service and the hospitality is great. Before booking, do make a call and get your requirements clarified.

Was looking for a place close to Coimbatore for New year Get-together and This property with three individual cottages amidst lush coconut trees seemed perfect. The property did not have any reviews so i contacted the property late at night and Mr.Umapathi the owner of Wabi retreat cleared all my doubts and confirmed my booking. And from there till we checked out from the property Mr. Umapathi was of great help. The property is accessible by car and the owner navigated us from Anaimalai since the Google location is not accurate. The owner being an architect had brilliantly designed the cottages i loved the oxide walls and the concept of open washrooms, each cottage had individual plunge pool with absolute privacy. The property does have a small kitchen but it is limited to making tea or freshly frying fish; Food is made and served from outside source but is of great taste. The caretaker was a humble and lovely person. I recommend this property if you are looking for a serene getaway from hustle and bustle of city life. I thank Mr. Umapathi his brother and the care taker for making our beginning of the year a wonderful and memorable experience. Will surely visit again to completely experience and explore the farm.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming farm house with my family, and the experience was delightful. Umapathy, the owner, was incredibly kind and responsive right from the start, which set the tone for an amazing getaway. Located on the banks of the Uppar River amidst beautiful coconut trees, it was a serene escape into nature. sustainable architecture, furnishings and the impeccable cleanliness of the place were commendable. A special shoutout to Raju, our caretaker, who was really helpful and attentive throughout, adding an extra layer of comfort to our stay. It was truly an amazing and memorable experience. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone in search of a perfect getaway.

Nature meets Urban architecture. Perfect place to stay a night or two with friend or family. A one of a kind place which seems to be meticulously built and greatly maintained. Highlights: Owner was very genuine and understanding and fullfilled all our demands. The caretaker was very sweet and was there with us 24/7 and helped us with everything we asked for. Food was not included but the hotels referred were all good and the prices were very reasonable. Caretaker handled the delivery of the food we ordered too. Massive place to eat, chill and have fun. Riverside property. Very comfortable rooms but the bathrooms were the cherry on top, could only experience it to fully understand what i mean. The aesthetic of the entire property caught my eyes and it will catch yours too. The route first seems to be a bit tricky but the owner and the caretaker helped us out to get there. All in all an excellent property to spend some quality time and have good fun.
