Wonderful hostel in idyllic setting and a superb host. Thank you Hugo. Nice kitchen and other comfortable common areas indoors and out, drinks for sale, sheep, horses, dogs and cats. Immaculately clean and comfortable beds. Spacious dorm room with beautiful and memorable views. Highly recommended.

One of the most magical places I've seen so far. The place just attracts amazing people and gives so much. The owner always helps out even if there's no room. I got stuck there for a couple of days because it was so wonderful.

A very comfortable place. The owner puts his whole heart into the property. He accommodated people’s needs. I love this place. You can order dinner delivery for only 10 euros!

BEST BY FAR (Caps are deliberate) of the van places we have stayed. Massive thanks to Hugo and Alex, who as well as being fabulous hosts also furnished us with ideas for walks/cycles and massive shout out to Alex who helped us when both our leisure batteries died. He suggested a place to purchase and we hunkered down for a few days whilst waiting for them to arrive. Met some amazing people. Those walking the Camino; Christiana, Amber; fellow van peeps; Wim and Karen, Ben and Laura. A beautiful place full of open and like minded people. We will be back.

Danke Hugo! So eine Herberge findet man kaum

One of the most amazing places I have visited..feels more like a sanctuary than just albergue. Everything was perfectly clean and ready, beds were super comfortable, the staff was lovely and the homemade cakes and cookies were delicious. I just hope I will have the chance to come back one day.

During my camino Portuguese, this was by far the best albergue that I stayed in. The refreshing pool was amazing, the view, just everything. If not for the camino, I would have tried to stay for a few more days to relax.

Topp!

For me so far the best hostel on the camino and one of the best hostels I have ever been to in my life. Very unique atmosphere, romantic rural house with stone walls, a garden with a horse and sheep, grapes, views of the sea. Reception and kitchen currently run by two German girls who came to help to the owner in summer. The "cook" bakes vegan cakes (2€ per piece) and cookies. I would love to come again, it's very cosy.

It’s been almost 2 years already since I’ve been there. I am still thinking back to this place once in a while. A beautiful hostel with the nicest owner and cleanest facilities. I stopped here on the way to Santiago but would even consider coming here just for a few days off. Will be back soon!

Amazing location and view. The house has many beautiful details and cute animals walking in the garden. There is a small pool which is a great refresher after a long day’s walk.

So far the best hostel that I have ever been to. It has everything and the beds are so awesome. There is also restaurant and you can buy drinks directly at the kitchen. Really great experience and owner.

A wonderful place where we were allowed to spend a few days. We met great people. Thanks to Alex and Huge and the women who take care of the place.

Best place for the price I have found on the Camino. + the friendliest host that welcomes you into his 400 year house that has been in the family for 200 years!

The host was very friendly and we were able to put up our tent in the garden because all rooms were full. The albergue has a beautiful view and a nice kitchen.

We stayed there whilst on our way to Santiago de Compostela, we had planned to stay for one night but the weather was so bad and the place so good that we stayed an extra night! The whole albergue is warm and cosy, both the beds and the common areas. We stayed in the loft and we had a great time with everyone there. The kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom is comfortable. Hugo is a great host, very welcoming and friendly. The cakes and cookies are amazing, and so is the food we can get delivered from the nearby restaurant for a very reasonable price. I will definitely remember this place and hope to back in summer, to enjoy the pool and the great outdoors area.

One of my best experiences in nearly four weeks on the Camino! Beautifully renovated old property, real bedding, multiple kitchens and gathering areas including one that is separate from sleeping areas for people who want to stay up late. I especially appreciated the beverages available for purchase at very reasonable price, and local restaurant delivery.

If you are a camino piligrim or simply in the area, you MUST stay here. The host is absolutely wonderful and welcoming and will make sure you enjoy your stay. The grounds and rooms are beatuiful, clean, and you won't want to leave. During my camino, we had no plans to take a rest day - after arriving here, we decided we had to. The sunsets and views were wonderful, the people we met were amazing, and it was my most memorable stay during the camino. Thank you, Hugo!!

Very atmospheric place, beautiful views. Lots of grapevines around the house. I have reservations about cleanliness, I slept on a bunk bed and had many cobwebs over my head

We arrived, but although they were full, we were very helpfully offered several places to sleep in our sleeping bags - the caravan was great. Thank you for the shelter, the hospitality and friendliness of the owner and a great place to spend the night.

What a beautiful place! The host Hugo is such a kind and calm person, and the rooms are beautiful. Two clean kitchens, and a great garden area. I can’t recommend enough, and the price is great.

Just a paradise. Hugo is extremely friendly and the beds even have sheets and there r big towels. Enough space for everyone, animals on the estate and a lovely atmosphere, sunset included. 10/10 would do again. When I was there it was 13€
