The hike was through a nice bit of land with forest and a small field, and the goats were able to forage next to us! They were very fun to watch, and since it's in trees, it was fun to watch them "climb" up or pull branches down. They were fun to feed, too. Our guide was very sweet and personable. The bonfire at the end was cute, and they let us be for socializing. Definitely recommend!

This was such a fun outing! We had received tickets with our stay in Galena. The guide was informative about the area and giving us facts and stories about each of the goats on our trek. The goats were friendly and well kept. I recommend this to people of all ages. The trek is not strenuous and follows a path through the woods and meadows.

We booked a private tour for a bachelorette weekend and it was excellent! The walk is nice and easy in addition to being picturesque, the guides are friendly and so knowledgeable about the Galena area and the goats/property. Plenty of nice picture-taking spots and of course the goats are the stars! Clearly healthy and well cared for, they amble along the trail with you and provide a ton of entertainment throughout the walk. Would absolutely book again my next visit to Galena and recommend!

This is a must in the fall! I was visiting Galena , IL for the first time and looked for activities around the area. That's how I came across Hoof It. We went on a perfect weekend, warm temps and the leaf colors were vibrant. You take a hike with several others through the forest with the goats. Our group consisted of about 10 people in total. They do offer semi private hikes with the goats. Truly enjoyed this activity and I highly suggest supporting this family-owned attraction.

SO FUN! This was such a unique and enjoyable experience and a great way to get some exercise in! The goats are so sweet and funny to watch! The land this is on is also a beautiful sight to see!

Wow! I was very excited to meet this friendly herd of goats, and they did not disappoint! Due to the extremely hot temperatures, we got to enter the goat pen instead of hiking. We were able to feed the goats carrots, learn about them, and get some goat love! It made my heart happy! Christina and the guides were very welcoming and knowledgeable! We even got to meet five baby goats. I will never forget this experience, and I highly recommend it!

Our group of 6 did a private goat hike and I cannot recommend it enough! Our guide, April was so sweet and knowledgeable, told us about each of the goats that came with us, and answered all our questions along the way. Who knew walking with goats could be so much fun?! Thank you to Flash, Dill, Willie, and Nelson! We took too many pictures to count. If you’re in Galena, you need to do this!

As a city girl, spending time outdoors isn’t always at the top of my list but when I saw this I had to do it and I am so glad that I did! I had such a great time! The owner and her daughter were amazing guides, I learned so much from them. Their property is breathtaking and learning not only about the goats but the history of their property and family as well was beautiful. The goats were very amazing, watching and learning their personalities was so much fun. If your in Galena this is a MUST!!! 10/10!

What a fun time! Our family took a trek with mama and baby goats. From check in to the return of the trek, we felt welcomed. Our tour guides were full of information and told us about the goats. We enjoyed the spa along the trek to allow the goats a snack, drink, foraging and log play time. Definitely recommend!

5/5! So much fun hiking with goats! Such a cute little experience close to home. The experience from start to finish was wonderful. Everything was nice and organized and planned well. They make it very easy to navigate up to the little farm area which takes about 5 min to drive up to on the gravel road once you turn off the main road. They have signs that are placed nicely so you don’t get confused where to go. Once we arrived we were greeted immediately and helped to know where to park etc. Arrived 15 min early liked they ask, and we started and ended exactly on time for the standard goat trek hike (1pm-2pm). The goats were so adorable and the guide was great! Very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Was able to take lots of photos, and the trail in the woods was absolutely beautiful, especially this time of year (early fall). The goats seem so happy in their farm space, and seem to enjoy the hikes and have so much space to graze and move. This is such a cute idea to do these tours. I can’t wait to come back and try the baby goat trek and the bone fire one! Thank you Hoof-It Goat Treks for such a wonderful experience!

👍👍 Casper Bluff is good for an intermediate level walk, with more hills than you might expect and nice, wide mowed grass paths that lead along the river and next to some forest and much open grasslands. More benches than you can shake a stick at, so if you need a rest, you'll have ample opportunities.
