I was tempted to give this place a bad review just to keep people away. The marine life is pristine. A few tips: Please please please exercise caution, do not touch or damage anything. For your sake and nature's. Also, choose coral-friendly sunscreen / clothes as you'll get burnt by the sun if you just spend too much time snorkeling (and some sunscreens are not marine life friendly). Don't swim into shallow corals or when the water currents come in, if you're not a strong swimmer, it will push you into corals (you'll get cut, corals will probably get damaged). Stay clear and observe from the safety of the sandy sea bed if you don't know what you're doing. With all that said, it has been precious spending time exploring the under water world of this miracle. The beach itself is nice but very westernised. Lots of business around, lots of tourists but they generally spread out. All around, worth the visit for the snorkeling.

One of the few beaches which was calm for swimming and snorkelling. Public parking is right after the Constance resort. White and clean sandy beach with turquoise green. Would like to visit again.

A very nice beach with lots of trees for shade. Good for snorkelling as well. We saw a lot of boats here ready for adventure sports and boat rides. Unfortunately we were here for Christmas and didn't see and food places open. No grocery store close by as well so stock up before you head here.

Amazing snorkeling here. Saw a huge ray as soon as we put our faces in the water. Loads of tropical fish along the edge of the reef, from small to very large. Beach is clean and safe to leave your stuff while you snorkel. Busy in May but not overcrowded.

Beautiful beach, in a bay so the water is calm and good for water sports. Didn’t have my mask but lots of people were snorkeling. I don’t like crowded beaches and this is, but if you do a little hike you can find little gems starting from here. Good luck 🍀

The beach is great, and since there is a hotel there one can also have a drink on the beach. There is a food bus near for the relatively cheap and tasty fast food. We were on this beach couple of times, and unfortunately the water was very muddy and it wasn’t possible to snorkel. I am guessing that when the water is clear the place is perfect. Beautiful place

One of the best beaches on Mahe. Snorkeling is a must. Soft sandy beaches and warm pristine water. Hotel restaurant and a bar on the beach available for non hotel people

Beautiful sunsets in this place. Calm ocean. Port. There is a cafe on the shore where you can drink various cocktails. Large playground. Access to the hotel territory is open to everyone, you can take a walk and feed the turtles.

Stunning bay beach with one of the most clear water. You have also bar and hotel restaurant that can be used, a lot of water sports options + food truck next to the parking area.

Beautiful white sand and good snorkelling - our preferred beach in Mahe. Even when raining Port Launay seems to have its own micro-climate and the black clouds stay on the hills

Picturesque beach with the small island and the boats. There is a couple of takeaways close by. Water is not as as clear but there are no bigger waves so good to swim and relax. Hotel is on the the beach so it has many visitors. Sometimes guys offering boat trips for hotel guest park their boats on the beach taking up a considerable amount of space.

Feels like we got tricked into buying a coconut that we were told initially that it was 75SCR (we were a bit far in the water when discussing this), but when we were asked for payment it was 175SCR... We bought a much colder and tastier one a day earlier from a takeaway and paid 45SCR... didn't want to let that ruin our experience so we let it go, but be sure to confirm the price of you plan on buying. You get free parking, calm waves and a clean beach, but it got crowded and after 11:00 we had difficulties finding spots in the shade. When it came to snorkeling we were unlucky: poor visibility, dead corals and little to no fish. Overall a disappointing experience for us.

One of the best beaches on Mae for swimming and snorkelling. Calm and shallow water. The five star hotel behind the beach means the beach is always swept and clean. Flanked by pictiresque hills. Lots of fish in nearby corals and among stones to watch. But corals are razor sharp and a small depth. So watch for your skin.

Seemed a bit dodgy to park and get onto the beach but once past the young people hanging around the entrance it was stunning. Also a lovely kabana on the beach selling food, smoothies and milkshakes etc. Great find

A public beach enjoyed by mostly tourists. Calm, warm water with tiny fish here and there. Even little sand crabs coming out to say hi.

Beautiful beach, clean sand, there's also a bar available. Sunbeds are available only for the guests of constance ephelia resort. Good for snorkeling as well, saw some rays and fish.
