Awesome walking track just up a bit further from Wirrawilla , it’s an uphill walking track from the car park that get you walking through really tall trees and large ferns which you can climb through. Really quite and relaxing walk. Lots of things to see. I think it connects around to Wirrawilla. I think the reason why it’s called tanglefoot is you feet get stuck on the log bark and plants with the sticky ends lol.

Tanglefoot Picnic & Camp Ground is a welcoming locale for curious forest explorers. It is often the scene of lunchtime picnics, the meeting place for motorcycle enthusiasts, a launching pad for bushwalkers venturing up the Tanglefoot Track and on weekend evenings is a hive of activity around a campfire with songs and stories of the forest. Highly recommended and an important feature and piece of infrastructure in the Toolangi forest.

A pretty decent place for picnic with kids, lunch break after visiting Wirrawilla Rainforest Walk or BBQ in daylight. It has toilet facility, a few benches in the grass (one has a roof and is not in the grass), and a map for walkers who want to visit Wirrawilla Rainforest from here. Parking is decent as well. I won't recommend hanging here at night as it would be scary in such places surrounded be trees and a gravel road passing by.

A nice picnic area with several walking trails nearby. There's toilet facilities, picnic benches and the car park is quite small.

Some great walks from the car park. Drop toilets. Covered and uncovered picnic tables. The bbq grate is ruined so you'll need to bring your own grill/plate. Some gorgeous wildlife: we saw rose robins, wallabies and leaches πŸ˜€

Beautiful at the picnic area but within a short walk many burnt out logging coupe's.

Such an important and beautiful area - have visited here and walked the Myrtle gully track with all groups. Sadly some other groups are not respectful of this beautiful space
