Don't waste your hard earned money! Food was so watered down it had virtually no flavour. We waited for an hour exactly to get our takeaway. The naan was soggy, dosa was completely soggy and curry dishes were just water with some flavour. It was embarrassing how poor the quality and taste was. They currently don't allow sit-ins so you have to order and wait for them to serve each customer one by one. See my photo for the amount of water in the dishes

Good value indian food. We were quite hungry so we ordered 3 meals for 2 people and it was just OK. We ended up taking our food for takeaway. Only cash.

The perfect place for the budget traveller, especially for authentic South Indian cuisine lovers. They have select menu for different days. Was able to have a fully contented dinner at under €15 for four people. Staying in Beau Vallon helps. Located at the corner of a narrow street that runs across the road from opposite Beau Vallon petrol station.

Super indian but limited menu but can always find your delicious bites. Savory buttermilk and the butter chicken (with extra chillie) are must! Ring the bell twice when the food is liked, so the chef cheers :-) (if you want parottha come in the morning)

Definitely one of our cheapest meals in Seychelles and certainly one of our best meals. Authentic Indian cuisine. This no frills spot has little seating but you can also just order for takeaway. Seating is outdoors but covered and there are fans. We had the butter chicken with Naan and the veggie Parotta. Enjoyed both dishes.

After Google reviewer I looked forward to a nice meal. Told only Veggie before 6pm (no Naam bread). Still very authentic Indian flavours. They cater mainly for takeaways delivery, but have a table outside you can eat there. The menu is mainly vegetarian or non vegetarian. On my visit, I was told the chicken would was roasting x so available after 7pm. It is worth just walking there from Beau Vallon, watching how the villages live a farm life, easy going, and to get to his house, the kitchen is at the back. They are very friendly and approachable.

After visiting all 3 main island, I can say this was the best Indian food hands down. We didn't realize how lucky we are to go here on our first night until the end of our trip and we realized most of the spots in The Seychelles can't come close. The staff are so welcoming and the spot is a cute little place with a mix of locals and tourists. If you like Indian food and a prince that's not crazy expensive, this is at the top of the list.

Our mistake was visiting on a Monday. The whole menu was not available. Something only on Fridays? What exactly, was left a bit of a mystery. After a few rounds of: "do you have this?" "no", "do you have this?" "no", we eventually got some food ordered. Takeaway only, perhaps due to the Monday, but who knows? Their menu said takeaway portions are smaller, and the price seemed double the dine-in. Ours was somewhere in the middle, I guess. I find that quite weird. The place could've redeemed itself with smashing food, but that sadly was as lackluster as the service.

The restaurant is in a dodgy looking backyard with hardly two parking spots. There was no option to dine in in the afternoon. Idli, Dosa etc. are only available in the evening and that also not every day. Some dishes have to be ordered 3 hours in advance. For takeaway, they told us food will take 25 min but it took 45. Food taste is mediocre, the Naan is not fresh and shouldn't even be called Naan.

The savior of indian people visiting Mahe island especially in the Beau Valon area. The foods are amazing and delicious. They do provide delivery at your hotel if you are staying in Beau Valon. The meals (Thali) both veg and Non-Veg are really delicious and two food is good enough for 3 people.

Great takeaway with really tasty indian food. Butter chicken curry with garlic naan bread were extremely delicious. Portions are a bit small but you can always order another one. Prices at takeaways are pretty good compared with restaurants.

Tasteless food, quality is terrible and worst of all is they give you attitude when you provide feedback, being experienced industry professionals. Disgusting!!! Would never recommend the food, a person who doesn’t know how to cook will do a better job!!! Pathetic…spoilt my entire evening, shameful management and manager argue outmost instead of listening! Unfortunately we have through food 😞

One of the best Indian restaurants in seychelles is economical, with excellent quality and amazing taste. The only downside of this is that there is no dining. Yes, you read correctly. It offers only take away :-( This is 40m inside the main road but we can take our car till the restaurant though the road is quite narrow. Check out their menu carefully as they have special dishes for various days across the week. For the first timers, I advise not to visit this restaurant in untime (ex: from 4PM to 6:30 p.m., they will not accept any order. I suggest the owners consider the dining option, which will help a lot of us.

We ordered chicken cashew with sweet and sour sauce, chicken curry, egg fried rice and garlic nan. Very good portion for two people, had some leftover rice. Charming place, friendly staff, good food and good price. We will be back later during our stay.

Had a lunch veg curry. Very delicious. Big portion and interesting variety of different small indian meals. A bit spicy but i like it.

We were looking forward to authentic Indian food, but unfortunately this was not met. We had 3 different meals, but all the sauces had no flavor and were watered down. The meat itself (eg chick marsala) was perfect, but the sauce ruined it for us.

The food was so yummy and tasty.. we get hot Rava dosas, idli, Ghee roast etc.. Lunch was also quite nice menu.. Authentic south Indian menu with sambar, rasam and poriyal.. Filter coffee was sóooperb👌👌 All the staffs were so friendly .. Thanks to Mangala aunty and raja sundaram uncle for organizing it so well. Very good South Indian Restaurant THE COPPER POT.

The place is in a small alley inroads and a good mix of South Indian and North Indian. We ordered a mixed veg, Punjabi chicken, 2 garlic naans but as they don't have a tandoor they shouldn't be calling it so. They were garlic barotas as it is made in southern India. Tasty but not a naan. Also a plate of 6 idlis with sambar and chutney which very authentic. The idlis were medium sized but 6 was good enough to have at dinner. Altogether the food was tasty. The dosas seem to be liked by the other guests who were mainly waiting for their take aways. This is mainly a takeaway and delivery outlet but we had our food their. Its not a fancy or even a regular restaurant. Gives the feel of a raodside joint with tables outside and good food. Try the Rava Dosa and the buttermilk.

Delicious food. We ordered andhra spicy chicken and butter chicken, with 2x rice and a naan. Waiting time was not bad, food is really good, but portion of sauce/chicken a bit too small while rice was enough (bit too much for us). Next time we would take 2 dishes(3 if really hungry) and share rice and naan. Really enjoyed the food!

  • 1/5 Noni L. 2 years ago on Google
Let me start by noticing that the food was not bad. We paid Rs.70 for a very small portion of butter chicken. The waiter asks if we want naan or white rice not mentioning that there is a surcharge of Rs.25 each so we ended up paying Rs.100 each for just a very small portion of butter chicken and then disproportionate large portion of white rice. although the food was not bad I do not recommend this place given the fact that there are a lot of amazing low-key local restaurants in the surrounding area. also not being open and honest about hidden surcharges is a big no-no.

  • 3/5 Krzysztof P. 1 year ago on Google
Good food, but very small portions. They do not have rice (in Indian restaurant!) Only naan, which you have to order separately. The waiter falls to understand what we want to order, even if we point it with dinner on the menu. Overall, good food, but few simple improvements could make the whole restaurant much better.

I’m sorry, I don’t understand the good reviews...the place is dirty and unhygienic .on the level we cleaned the table with wipes and the wipe was black! The staff does not understand English, did not understand what dishes we wanted, half of the dishes on the menu were missing, the dishes are small and the food is reasonable

I am so late to post the review but I can't forget the lips smacking food I had! It was in May 2017 and I was on my honeymoon after a week of eating international cuisine I was badly craving for something Indian. And there it was, literally home away from home.. first we went their for dinner and had mouthwatering biryaniy. The next day morning again went and had spongiest Idli's ever!!!! The host is sweetest lady who feeds you like her own mother ❤️ And the day when we had to travel back she gave us most tasty paratha rolls so that we can eat them during our travel!!! Whenever you are in Mahe, Seychelles do try her outlet. It's homely, warm and delicious!!

The food was rather disappointing. But that is a subjective thing. Objective facts: parking is available though small and crammed and access to it is over a small narrow bridge, which might raise some back hairs on most unaccustomed tourists. Across the street can one park in the gas station. I went once outside of regular hours and was sold food at a price which proved to be over the normal standard.

Quality is ok ok types. Also their rates are not what they show in their menu card, pls check before ordering home delivery. I had ordered 1 plate idly and 1 plate dosa for which the price as per menu card is 50 and 30 respectively, but they charged 130 in total and said that you have to pay as our rates are different for home delivery ( which is actually no where mentioned)

(Translated by Google) Small backyard takeaway with three tables to sit and lots of charm. Very nice people, there is a menu, but not all dishes at any time. The Indian does not speak English well, but struggles to explain what the offer is. Sometimes it is worth to wait, because half an hour later, the desired dish is then available. Food is delicious, absolutely unbeatable price. There is only water to drink, but you can bring whatever you want. We were there three times and each time very satisfied.
