Since we were on a guided St Anne MP excursion we didn’t stop at the bar, we only bought the entrance tickets to Moyenne there. The island is great: it’s an easy round way of about 60 minutes with some great beaches on the way and a few ruins and an old cemetery, all well signposted. The island was private property until 2012 when the old owner died and gave it to the government that made it part of the NP. Giant tortoises inhabit the island and cross your way every now and then. The best thing about the island is the guide: Yellow. We were lucky to have him exclusively to guide us, because we were the only visitors of the Island at that time (due to Covid...). I guess that dog and the tortoises are the only permanent inhabitants of Moyenne...

Mimi... I don't know you or this restaurant, but being someone who works in the restaurant industry on an island, the culture is different. I'm not telling you what to do, and I wasn't there for your dining experience at this restaurant, but the world would be a better place if everyone was more open to other people's cultures. Unintelligent? Maybe English, or whatever you speak is not their first language. Idk. I feel like people should be open to other people's perspective. I might be wrong about this... I apologize if I am. Your review was so rude that I had to say something, bc these people don't need to be insulted the way that you did. For your information, I found an article about the man who bought this island and implemented trees, animals, and trails. I just wanted to see where it was located in the world and I saw there was a restaurant here. To the restaurant, I will visit some time in my life. See you then. Bless up!!!

The food quality and the place did not meet expectations. We were a group of 8 and the lady there actually said food was almost finished and it wasn't her problem! She wad quote rude. But one is stuck with this place if we take the glass bottom ride. The GB boat experience was amazing though.

The Island visit was great and we enjoyed the Tortoises. Definitely recommend a visit to the island. The restaurant staff are rude and really unlike the experience we have had in the Seychelles. We ordered two Tuna salads and after 30 mins of waiting I asked where they were. Seems that they incorrectly gave one to another table. Never mind mistakes happen but then it took another 30 mins to get the replacement and after chasing again. All other tables had been served by then despite us being one of the first in the restaurant. I do understand different cultures and languages having lived overseas for most of my life but this was inconsiderate. Btw. Apparently you can have buffet food if you book in advance. Perhaps this would be better but it wasn’t obvious.

If you’re a salty sailor like me, then you need to skip this place. It’s chock full of fat pasty tourists all in line for the buffet and expensive beers. Steer wide good mate.

I went on a beautiful trip with Teddy's Galss Bottom Boat, witch i strongly recomand, and end up for lunch in this cozy place. If you want to find a remote and authentic place near Mahe this is the place to be. Amazing people, good prices, authentic food and atmosphere. My experience was amazing, i hope yours to be the same.

The food here is good but the location is great! It's a short trip with a boat from Mahé, mainly excursions from the harbour. But the best thing about this island are the turtoise. They live freely there in a national park. The whole island is private owned and driven by some locals who care for the animals and fauna around the island.

Wooowww!!! What an experience it was. From the get go it was amazing. You have to get a boat to get to the bar from Mahe island. The boat crew was very friendly and informative. Once you get close to the Moyenne island you can see the Jolly Roger bar. You can have a hike around Moyenne island as well. I recommend you get a local tour guide. They know the best view points for beautiful photos and they know the history of the place to the t. You can enjoy an amazing local food collection at the Jolly Roger bar and restaurant. We got to enjoy a very tasty and rich local buffet. You can also enjoy the bar at the place as well. The staff was super friendly. After our meal there a small group of locals entertained us with a small yet very enjoyable session of local music with various instruments as well. If you are around Mahe island highly recommend you take this trip and visit the Jolly Roger Bar and restaurant. It will be a once in a lifetime experience. To top it all off there is a cute and friendly dog named Yellow.💛💛💛 Don't forget to play with it if you are there.😉
