One of the most beautiful sightings on the island The entrance to the park with local vegetation is typical of the island. Over a distance of about 100 meters, there is a view with benches for sitting in front of the amazing view of the island.

Used to be free. From 2021, they introduced a 100 rupees entrance fee... I remove two stars just because of this. You get toilets and 3 unnecessary security guards. Great view there but you will probably stay 10 mins only. Come on a sunny and clear day for good pictures.

It was opened on March 20, 1972 by Queen Elizabeth and her husband, Herzog Edinburgh, who arrived at the open Seychel International Airport. Fantastic view point built for Queen Elizabeth visit to Seychelles. Perfect for sunset. Closes at 17:00. There is a spacious car park and toilet facilities. Viewpoint is only 5 minutes away from car park so no need to hike. You can see many fruit bats flying around in the evening.

Must see view point when in Seychelles. Almost zen feelings to see mild and green tropical hills with a few clouds. A different world to beaches and great opportunity to learn local trees.

(Translated by Google) Stunning views of the ocean, the mountains and the capital, Victoria, there is a large covered porch with benches. You can only get there by car, but it's worth it. You will receive an observation deck and a beautiful botanical garden with plants. I am not interested in plants, so visiting this place was in vain for me. If you are looking only for an observation deck, then you can find it along this road for free.

Although this trip was classified as easy, if you are over 80 it is anything but. You start, if you come by coach, climbing a very steep tarmac road until you come to the ruins of the mission, the track then leads ever upward you have to navigate over giant steps formed by a combination of roots & erosion until you emerge at the look out. The Seychelles has wonderful views where ever you look, take my advice, unless you are extremely fit give this a miss.

I've read about Venn's Town but came across it by coincidence on our travels. Stunning lookout points & l appreciated the peacefulness. I liked that the trees were labeled so you could learn in the process. We were in flip-flops & managed fine to do the walkabout which isn't too long. However we did not go to the cemetery part, we walked for a bit but the terrain is a little different & good shoes are needed. It would be great to have an indication of the distance on this areas so you know if it's something you want to do, we eventually turned back. I would also suggest a clean up on the walk way to the cemetery, broken glass is a hazard & the car parts is just eerie.

This is a historical place with a UN World heritage tag ( Entrance fee SCR100), where kids of the slaves were housed for food and education. This viewing deck which overlooks the distant mountains and beach’s was inaugurated by Queen Elizabeth in March 1972. Worth a visit.

Smallest heritage site.. Industries school for Children of liberated slaves... Queen Elizabeth II visited in 1972. Placing more Information boards could've been better.

If you are a natural lover!! You must visit this place!! Actually this is a heritage site but the experience was amazing. This spot is inside the forest. For GOP holders the entry is free!!!

Mission Lodge or Venn's Town is one of the most historically and culturally meaningful sites in Seychelles & very calm place.

A very serene place rich in historical and natural heritage values, although it is a small area.We always make it a must visit every time we come back home. The view of the coast is simply breathtaking and must be experienced to understand.

A pleasant view from the top and some very low level ruins. It's 'ok' to pop in if you're passing when crossing the island but I certainly wouldn't make a special trip here, especially given the entrance fee (which is frankly excessive for what is on offer).

(Translated by Google) The 14 km longest and steepest pass road on the island of Mahé, Sans Souci Road, takes you on adventurous curves up to Mission Lodge, also known as "Venns Town". At the end of the 18th century, the place served as a boarding school for orphans and former slaves. Only ruins remain of the buildings today, but from up here you have a gigantic view of the south-west coast of the island.

(Translated by Google) Driving on a winding road up the mountain. Entrance fee 100 rupees. For those arriving with a rental car, camp a chute across the road. A short and easy walk of about 200 meters to the observation point. The view from the mountain is beautiful, but it is important to arrive on a clear day. In total, it is recommended to arrive if you have a rented car. It is beautiful and nature is awesome, you can go with car and park it just 2-3 min away. But you probably won't stay here more than 10-15 minutes. If you are passing by, it is okay to stop and rest here.

Ruins of an old mission/school. It provides an amazing view of the west coast of Mahe island, and there is a covered area with plenty of benches to relax. Here you could enjoy a cool breeze, which you would not normally find elsewhere on Mahe. Relatively close to the Mission Lodge, in the direction towards Victoria, there is also an old cemetery on the left side of the road.

(Translated by Google) Enchanting views and beautiful trees of the most diverse species, some even centenarians. The ruins of the mission evoke a time that seems very distant but it is not: the time of slavery and the trafficking of African populations. The landscape and the loggia which visited the Queen of England in 1972 they must not distract us from one of the many abominations made by man and never completely ceased. Even now in a hundred states slavery is a reality (Original) Incantevole vista e alberi stupendi delle specie più diverse alcuni addirittura centenari.

Expensive fee for a 15 minute walk! Definitely not good value! We decided to stop here for a little look and paid the entrance fee, which we thought was quite a lot. It was a short walk just to see some ruins and a view of the coastline. Only a maximum of 15 minutes was needed there and we'd paid £6 each!

A hidden gem… it is a must visit place. The entry fee might seem a bit steep for there is nothing concrete to see. But exploring the area is worth it. I would surely visit this place again just for the view….

An open heritage site with a shelter at top where Queen Elizabeth visited when she inaugurated the Seychelles International Airport. Has couple of old ruins and many trees & plants. It also has a small place at the top to park cars. It was my first time to see Cinnamon tree - it’s in the site! Lastly, the view is great!!
