Beautiful beach but don't leave person la things of value at the beach, our bag was stolen while we were swimming. Also take good care of the current, it pulls out very strongly.

Amazing beach. Huge waves 🌊 big pine trees near the beach front where you can hide from the sun.

The stunning contrast between the sand and sea of Grand Anse and the surrounding mountains and hills of the island’s interior make for a uniquely attractive location on Mahé. This sprawling bay is incredibly beautiful, with excellent sand and a gorgeous turquoise ocean.

Not the most beautifull beach on Seychelles but definitely the best for swimming and to enjoy the ocean. Soft sand, no rocks, sea grass and coralls. Insanely clean water and perfect size waves.

CAREFUL! We have been robbed at that beach. We left our things unattended while taking a short dip in the water! Our bag was taken in that moment. Obviously this is a common thing especially at this beach but also on some other places on the Seychelles. People a waiting in the bushes / trees for you to go swimming and will take your things. Obviously to generate money to buy heroin. So do not leave valuable belongings unattended. Generally: - Compared to other beaches on Mahé the beach is ok, would rate it with three stars. - The beach is very long and towards the left deserted. A mix of tourists and locals using the beach. - waves are higher then on other beaches, swimming can be dangerous due to currents. Lots of locals are confirming that. - No sandflies were present during our stay

One of the few places with waves around Mahé Island. It doesn’t have a bar, only a grocery store close.

All you hear is the gushing sound of waves. Really quiet place. Stronger currents during high tide season. Not advisable for swimming. It's the second best beach in Mahe. The surrounding greenery makes the beach look so very beautiful.

NOT SAFE TO SWIM due to rough seas and strong currents. A beautiful long beach with fine sands located on the West part of Mahe island. About 1.12km (20 mins) of walking from where there is parking (near the primary school) to the end of the beach (near the river's end). Depending on the moonsoon winds, there are 'tectec' shellfish whereby Seychellois come to pick it up to make traditional tectec soup.

Nice beach. Was a bit too rough today. Nobody was there. But it is def a nice beach to go to when the sun is out. Right next to a School and a bit further is a grocery store. Bus stops are nearby. Not a lot of traffic.

Really beatiful sight. It’s such a shame that it’s not safe to swim in it due to huge waves. Me and my family still had a great time. There was no one on the beach beside us which I really liked. So if you are looking for a quite beatiful beach in the Seychelles this is the one!

Huge beach, not swimmable because of the waves, but still very enjoyable since the sand is so fine, no rocks under water which is also cristal clear, therefore has amazing colors.

Not a great beach honestly. Often with strong waves and without any beach infrastructure. It’s not that picturesque either. No snorkelling spots here. If you like a nice mainstream beach just stick to Beau Vallon beach. For coral snorkelling and no-wave paradise swimming go for Anse Royale.

Nice beach. No people at all when we were there. Big waves but did not feel dangerous but might be.
