A tea factory in the Mountains of Mahe… with a view on the sea and tour by yourselves following markers in the floor. Nice and cosy… do not expect something to spectacular, but it’s a really sweet spot.

Nice tour in this small tea factory (takes around 10min if you walk fast). Take time to discuss with the workers so they can explain you their work. Lovely tea house just outside with home made cakes and of course delicious tea.

Recommended place to see for several reasons. It is down to earth rudomentary tea making place. You'll see different parts of the process depending on when you come. On certain days they do drying etc. When I was there, only packaging was on. The smell of the drying room is fantastic. Strawberries and vanilla notes, couldn't get enough of it. The store is lovely, selling all their products at reasonable prices.

We were in the hands of our all day travel guide and we came here not knowing what to expect. We popped in here for a drink, no food or tour around the factory etc. Great location and service was ok. Great photo opportunity also. Hope you like the photos. Apparently the day before - Sunday - it was very busy with coaches from a cruise ship. So I would suggest going on a non cruise ship day if possible. While we were there it was very quiet.

Nice view! Free guide tour was good. The smell of tea is really nice. After tour you can buy some products (tea, spicies, jam) and also you can drink tea and enjoy the view ☺️☺️

The tea factory was open, but only operating the packing of tea, all other machines looked abandoned, yet they charged us for the full price of the tour, the tour had no information and the only leaflet available was in a different language. The price of the full tour was not that much, but the place has great potential, unfortunately it’s not utilised properly.

A local tea factory. Most of the tea is growing locally and some tea is brought from Nicaragua. You can see the whole process from drying the tea leaves until putting them in tea bags. There is a small museum there and a place to drink tea.

Another hidden gem with beautiful views as you go through the mountains to get here. We stopped for a refresh & the vanilla ice tea certainly delivered. The brownies were sublime & the Nougat Lokal Kreol is a must try if you have a sweet tooth. The small chips is a large portion with generous supply of tomato sauce. The waitress was very sweet & helpful. The food is turned out extremely fast from this little kitchen. We did not do the factory tour, next time.

I would never step foot into this establishment. So many concerns and issues. I'll start with the most disturbing. My husband and I visited the restaurant earlier today (independently. Not with a tour) after walking a nearby hiking trail. We ordered food, tea and coffee. At the time, they were not busy. Once we were close to finishing our food, people started coming with tours. I went to the washroom to wash my hands and was surprised to find no running water. I walked out and asked, what appeared to be either the manager or owner, if they had water elsewhere, and he very rudely replied, "No water!" I then said, "No water? You serve hot food. How are you preparing our food without water?" He didn't answer me and abruptly walked away. Unfortunately, as I type this, I am very, very I'll with food poisoning. The second issue is that every single staff member that we encountered was extremely rude. Almost as though we were a huge burden to them. This is a place that is frequented often, and they have no regard for the patrons. Very disappointing to say the least. The final issue, and probably the biggest for me personally, is that they abused a dog right in front of me. When I first saw the dog, I noticed he was limping and very skittish (no big deal on that, I thought). When the large crowd of people showed up, they were trying to scurry the dog away. I stood up and walked to where I could see one of the staff members around the side of the building (where no visitors were) hitting the dog. It was so disturbing! I then asked our waitress why he hit the dog. The waitress replied, "I don't understand English." This after speaking English to us our whole visit there Their only redeeming quality is the tea was good. I would never recommend this place!! Disturbing and disgusting on so many levels!! There's a reason they have a poor review rating on all platforms!

Nice to have a look at the site but sad to see, that nothing is really used anymore. Tea leafs are harvested here and taken to Sri Lanka and brought back for packing. Entry fee is 50 rupees per person.

Interesting to visit, but too expensive for a self guided tour (10 euros). It would be better to have a guide explaining the tea making process. However, the tea is good.

It's cool but small & fast. In 10 mins you are done. It's quite cool as it's rudimentary and you can see the packaging process. There's a cafe . Prices are a bit high. View is deposed to be nice but it was a torrential rain when I visited.

Really nice view from the top. Good but pretty expensive tea to drink at the bar. Shop is really nice, good prices for packages for different various of tea with multiple tastes.

Nice place to visit along the way. You can drive down to the territory itself, and not leave your car in the parking lot by the road. You will find a great observation deck, a tea shop and a factory here, which you can walk through and get something like a self-guided tour.
