This has definitely been one of the worst hotel experiences we've ever had! The hotel is not like the pictures seem at all, the staff is not helpful or accommodating in any sense (especially the front desk staff). We stayed for three days and on the first day we asked for a late checkout as our flight back home was 11 pm they said checkout is at 10 am and if we needed late checkout we had to come earlier on that day but that they would keep our request in mind and try to help us as much as possible. This was not delivered at all and they already allocated the room to another early check in. So basically when you're on vacation, and you specifically ask in advance for a late checkout, you still have to wake up super early to ask again and again with absolutely no help, get refused and leave the room. They think it's so kind of them to keep our luggage although that is normal in any hotel. Phones in the rooms are not working so no way to reach the front desk or room service or any other hotel services. The pool is very very dirty and looks like it hasn't been cleaned in over a year. Even some of the stuff have dirty clothes with paint and dust all over them. Also, the rooms are very dusty and there's sand everywhere. It's a serious joke! The only good thing about this hotel is the hotel's location. It's a shame that such a good location goes to such bad management. Definitely never staying here again nor recommending it to anyone. The maximum this hotel should get is one star depending on the location.

It was definitely one of the more affordable places to live on the island with a great location right on the beach and close to Victoria if you want to go into town. The Starfire were all really professional and very very friendly. The rooms are super clean and actually a very good size for the price. The only real thing that I had an issue with was the mattresses, but that's only because I really enjoy a soft mattress and not something as firm. This place was really a win for me on my budget. And on location

Good location - on the beach with calm water, good for family with child. Vary good breakfast. And that's all !!! The hotel screams to be renovated. It should be max. 3* not 4*. Very old environment and furniture in the rooms. Smells bad. Everything is amortizated. The main restaurant looks like before 20 years. No any restaurant atmosphere. Very bad service at all. Lazy staff they don't care for the customers. They have two a la cart restorants. The same situations. Conclusion - too much money for this hotel and customer satisfaction!!! Not worth !!!

I am not really sure why would people choose a cheaper hotel in a very expensive country where most rooms go for $500/night and expect it to be the same level of those 5 stars. Anyway, I’ve spent 7 nights here at least my room wasn’t smelly. It was decent and comfortable again for what I paid. Shower had a great pressure. The housekeeping did a fantastic job and always service the room early. The food at breakfast and dinner is very decent again for the price point. A la cart lunch by the pool pricey but decent, sushi was very nice too. The beach is fantastic. My very negative observations are: - bad wifi - no AC in the restaurant at night it’s like a sauna - must carry phone or wallet with you at all times because you can’t charge anything to your room. I am told this is a new change of policy. Absurd.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. There were both advantages and drawbacks. At first I thought that it was a 3 star hotel, but it was decent. Advantages: It was in front of a beach (not the best) with easy access and the hotel offered sun beds, towels and sun cream for no extra cost. Our room had ocean view and we were hearing the sound of the waves during the night. I liked more the dinner food than the breakfast. I have to say that dinner was very good. Drawbacks: the room was very small and the furniture was old. The check out was too early (at 10am). Also, there are more beautiful beaches on the island than the one in front of the hotel. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for a long stay.

It was one of the best hotels for me for stay in Seychelles. Really very well maintained hotel with good view of seashore, clean and well planned rooms with good food and room services. It was a great experience for me and my family. I will sure visit this place again whenever will plan to come to Seychelles.

It was a short stay, but still long enough to ruin my experience in the island. The staff were friendly, which was the only pro. The rest was really all awful. The rooms were old, terrible mattress. This is in NO WAY a 4 star hotel, more likely a 3-minus. As we landed in the morning and were waiting for our room to be ready, we decided to have lunch in the hotel. Everything we ordered was awful. We ordered some fish dishes too, and the fish was NOT fresh, it was disgusting. In the end, this was the most expensive meal of my trip, and bear in mind that I also stayed in decent 5 star hotels, but Coral was the worse in all aspects. There is no point in coming here. Swimming pool is small. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

Really terrible. On arrival, our room was not ready. It is noisey and the staff are unfriendly. If you do come to Seychelles, for which there are far better alternative holiday destinations such as Mauritius, pick another hotel which offers you some good experiance, please do not ruin your holiday by choosing to stay at this hotel. It is so bad that we are looking to to leave for home earlier.

My vacation was ruined by my stay at the hotel. 1. The hotel was advertised as a 4 star hotel on agoda but it is far from it. The pictures on agoda do not reflect the true picture of the hotel and hygiene is almost criminal. The hotel is completely dirty and worn down, also there were cockroaches everywhere including at the breakfast buffet. The telephone in the room was also not working and therefore I could not communicate with the reception downstairs. 2. We were forced to stay there against our wishes as we had chosen to check out as soon as we checked in after we saw the state of the hotel. The management of the hotel told us they would move us to their sister hotel (Savoy Hotel) free of charge but later backtracked on the offer and tried to get us to pay for it. Later they completely ignored us and gave us no recourse as they knew we could not afford to book another hotel without the refund. 3. There were parties throughout the weekend, making it very hard to sleep. Despite numerous complaints from multiple guests, the party was allowed to carry on. 4. The hotel pool was very dirty and rarely cleaned. The sunbeds surrounding the pool are always reserved and hardly available. 5. The food served for breakfast is very old and there was packaging still surrounding the bacon. Something as basic as food hygiene should be followed in a 4 star resort. It was clear that the management does not care when there are cockroaches roaming around the buffet station. The management had offered to comp us free lunch and dinner but we refused as there was no way anyone should be eating from that hotel.

It is dirty and old and doesn’t look anything like the photos online. This hotel is more like a cheap motel. It is truly disgusting and outdated, absolutely not a smart choice. It’s obvious that no money has been invested to maintain it. The rooms are dirty and not properly cleaned, there was sand all over the bedroom floor and in the shower. Also the reception staff has no basic idea of customer service.

Pros: - very affordable by Seychelles standards - friendly helpful staff - location is awesome, clean lovely beachside, nearby restaurants, shops, spa, pharmacy, supermarket and roadside shops. Nice to take evening walks - breakfast offers a lot of options but it doesn't really vary daily so could get tiring. - clean rooms, prompt housekeeping Cons - small room size - basic facilities, can't be called a luxury hotel

Our stay in coral strand was really good! Staff is really helpful and nice especially Ezra and Rocky :). It is located right next to the ocean which you can also see at the restaurant. Breakfast has everything to choose from crepes to eggs to tropical fruits. If I come back to Seychelles I would definitely stay in the same hotel.

Good experience. Hotel is quite old but well maintained and clean. Staff is super good. Service is super quick. Very reasonable rates- beach side hotel. One can easily stay here . Only remember if you are a dubai resident or someone who has expectations to have 4 star hotels like we have in Dubai. Then don’t have higher expectations otherwise it’s a lovely place to stay.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Beau Vallon is one of the best beaches in Mahé, serviced beach with quite a few restaurants and bars (compared to other beaches in Seychelles). The rooms are tiny, stinky smell of humidity, the sound proofing is very poor and u can hear any noise around. The restaurant has limited options, the food is poor quality. I would not stay there again and i do mot recommend it.

Amazing location at the beach. It is definitely worth it to pay for an ocean view room. The rooms are a bit small and old (which I would not expect for a 4 stars hotel) but being in Seychelles, you want to spend your time at the beach! The service is amazing. Every single worker there was kind and helping. (Specially grateful to Linda). If there is a problem, they would find a solution as soon as possible. We had here no complains. The breakfast buffet is very good, a very big offer and from 7.30 till 10.30. (The only BUT is that the guests are not wearing masks!) We were 6 nights there and would recommend it. (Baring in mind, that the rooms are not up to a 4 stars hotel, but the rest is).

Awesome place to stay with beach attached to the hotel. The waves on the beach are quite nice to enjoy. They also have 3 tortoise to play with free of charge.

Close to the see, good food and nice and clean rooms. Food and drinks are a bit to expensive compared to other locations. Dinner bufet was around 90Euros and at the pool bar a draft beer was around 12 Euros

Hotel is in an amazing location. The hotel is in very bad shape, rooms have a very musty odor. On our last night the room above us got broken into and the guest was screaming for help at 4 am. I don't recommend this hotel even tho it's in a great location.

Great place, rooms slightly smaller but sufficient for 2 people. Great front view, complimentary services include indoor pool and towels. Water is chargeable except two bottles per day, Also extra to your package now any hotel is going to add 100scr per person per night due to environment tax. Rest things good

I would stay in this hotel again if they change the pool. I read the review about the gentleman who was in the pool with his child and nearly drowned. I asked my friends to get in and they told me its way to deep for me as i am not a good swimmer. Also saw kids just sitting on the steps and that not many people was swimming in it. I travelled quite a lot and this is the first time i didn't make use of the pool. Please do something about the depth of your pool.

We had an amazing holiday at this hotel, the beach is heaven, the pool is nice and clean, the rooms have good ac, fridge... all the necesities, it s the best value for money. The staff is really kind and helpful, we were so happy here. I had the best breakfast and dinner, i can t praise it enough. I love this island and the hotel too, i would definitely come back if i don t win the lottery to afford a 5 star hotel just for the extra fancy experience:) This is our paradise and we have the best memories here. We ve been before on beau vallon beach but to berjaya hotel, but coral strand we liked better, especially the food and genuine staff. May 2023

Service is all about people, and in coral personnel is young and positive. Hotel should have modernisation, although it has clean rooms, towels and beds. We had HB staying and we not hungry. A lot of people choose its hotel for its democratic prices and closeness to the beach which is gorgeous there.

We stayed at the Coral Strand for 8 days and I should say our holidays were fantastic. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. Restaurant manager Ganesh is really professional, prepared and knows how to manage with a client. Anielle was so kind to arrange a birthday cake for me and to book the restaurant. I really appreciated Priska and Lisa from reception. Their smiles were so warm even under the masks. Ali and other waiters are very nice too. Good job guys! Keep working in same way. I’d like to add a couple of words about the hotel. It’s quite old and needs to be renewed but when you see the ocean from your window you forget about everything. Thank you again for upgrading my room for the “ocean view”. Hope to see you again!

Very beautiful and cozy property near the end of of beach. So you get to experience the serenity of beach along with a little crowd too. It has a street food market nearby. The staff and manager are extremely helpful and caring. Every room is sea facing. The breakfast assortment consisted of huge variety with great food quality.

Perfect place, for that price you will definitely don't find such service and quality at Seychelles. Rooms are clean and you will find there everything what you need. Breakfast is very good and tasty. Beach get cleaned every morning, the entrance to the water is also clean. Definitely recommend, best place at Beau Vallon for that price.

The feeling is indescribable staying here, the nature around the hotel is perfect, and me and my wife had the best experience here because we were treated extremely good by the staff, especially from the two sister who work in the hotel named Ezra and Jessica. 10/10 recommending, will be coming back for sure!

Hotel should be rated 2/3 stars maximum, current rating creates confusion. Very helpful hotel manager helped to overcome the challenge and moved us to another hotel with small reward. Thanks Ahmed for saving our stay! 🙌🏽

It is a pleasure writing this review as my wife and I can not stop talking about this holiday. Our holiday could not be as perfect as it was if it was not for Coral Strand Choice Hotel and their staff. The setting is superb. The sound of the sea while you are asleep is to die for! The beautiful sunsets you will have to experience yourself! I can recommend this resort any day and you will feel like going there again! I know, we are most definitely doing just that in the near future!

What a disaster. The rooms are smelly and damp , not clean and very old . We are having such an uncomfortable stay - the price was not cheap either , we wish we booked another hotel . On the positive the hotel is right on the beach and the food is decent . That’s about it when it comes to positives . Such a shame , it could be much better with a proper revamp

Hotel is good for this money, especially it's location (near the ocean). Room was a little bit dirty and had spider web in some places. Toilet was dirty (we clean by ourselves). But in other hands everyday there were 2 bottles of water and overall I must say that this hotel is very nice and no doubt to choose it.

Never again! We booked in hoping to get a last relaxing day before leaving the Seychelles. What we expected for round 200€/night and what reality looked like were far from each other. Waited 3h for our room, needed to change into beach clothes in the dirty and stinky restrooms, needed to leave our luggage in the „luggage room“ (which is not closed and mostly used by guests to sit there and drink alcohol), no wifi until we got our room, not even a welcome drink or anything else as compensation. No introducing into the hotel either. At 10am there were no beach chairs left. Breakfast is ok but everything is self service and open and most guest also some of the employees don’t even wear a mask but also here: nobody cares enough to say something! Absolutely NOT OK during Covid times! Coming to our room: A/C not working properly (25 degrees feel like 18), as soon as A/C is off the room smells musty. Fridge is a joke - doesn’t even cool. You hear literally everything around you. The waves at night feel like thunder, the windows are so old even a little wind shakes them. We asked for a late check out as our flight went at 11pm. They denied immediately as they were overbooked - felt like a joke! All in all this hotel is a very dark place with the only thought on getting the most profit out of the guests. Every single employee is unfriendly and not smiling at all times (a sign they don’t get paid enough to put effort). Every guest house on the island is worth ten times as much as them. It was a relief checking out.

Worst hotel I ever been in 2021. Totally outdated and not maintenance at all. Bad food, bad internet, bad service and super expensive. Perfect combination to won the price to worst hotel in 2021

We reach there by 7 morning and we have 2 kids they said check-in normally at 2 but they will do them best after a very big negotiation. Anielle on front desk was have a very bad attitude and bad body language 😒. The view and location is amazing. Food was not good . They have to work really hard for the best customer service

  • 5/5 Bogdan H. 1 year ago on Google
Honestly we came in here with low expectations based on the reviews we found online and what a surprise we had. First, you need to take into consideration their price range compared to pretty much all other hotel in the area - you can't pay the price of a 3* hotel and expect a 5* treatment or conditions. Maybe we were lucky, but the staff was friendly and did their best to help us with everything we needed. Location is also perfect, right on the beach (there were plenty of sun beds), they have a volleyball area and a water activities center. Wi-Fi is decent, breakfast and dinner are good, room cleanliness stands up to standard. All in all, for a 3* hotel, we were happy.

Not much to say about the Coral Strand. Once one of the busiest Hotel in the Beau Vallon, now is more making as much money you can before demolishing the resort... Employees are impeccable, from parking guys, to cleaners and food catering team, desk person you name it, top quality services, but the facility in itself is out of date and in the need for a total refurbishing. Love the ocean view and easy access and love the area, but please Coral love yourself a little bit. Lots of Russian tourism, which is it for me, always a pleasure.

  • 5/5 Jennifer C. 1 year ago on Google
Wow…. As a hotelier it’s rare for me to rate a hotel 5 star but coral strand deserved it. Staff were amazing, housekeeping was excellent, breakfast buffet was a great spread, with various restaurants around & a BDC 5 minutes away. Keep up the good job.

  • 3/5 Alain C. 1 year ago on Google
I was there in July 2022 with a group friends. I spent a whole week there on half board basis. The breakfast buffet was OK, but the dinner one was not to expectations. The early birds tend to take over and if you happen to arrive after than 30 minutes some of the best dishes are no longer available. The great thing about this hotel is its location on Beau Vallon beach.

  • 5/5 Patrycja B. 1 year ago on Google
Really nice stuff, asking you every day how are you, they like to chit chat and get to know you. Rooms are clean. Location is great, the sand beach right in front of the hotel. The ocean here is quite calm, no huge waves and not deep. Variety of bars and restaurants.
