I stayed twice here so I have a good experience about the place. Pros: -Great view, just fantastic -Nice welcome drinks, so tasty, fresh and natural -super cute garden -you can use their fridge if you like so thats good -you have a water boiler for tea or coffee -if you ask in advance they can prepare breakfast, lunch or dinner and its very good Negative things: -Internet is very slow, sometimes doesn't even work. We had to insist and insist to get something done. I was frustrated cause i needed to book a flight. -Animals nearby are super noisy, not a problem for me but for many could be unbearable -Very far away, you'll need a car or a bike, if not don't even consider this place -Really hard place to drive to, you need to know how to drive cause it's on a massive slope. -If you're afraid of insects it's better you look elsewhere. -Spartan rooms, quite just the essentials (no tv for example) -The steps that lead to the rooms are super sloped, if you fall you can really get hurt. My mom fell at night cause there is no light, just a light that switches on if you move in front of it however it'll switch the light for some areas and not others so my mom slipped on some steps she couldn't see and hurt her knee and she couldn't enjoy the rest of the holiday. -We booked a room but we we're given another room that was bigger and nicer cause the one we asked for was being rebuilt, that being said the construction and renewing of it was very noisy and they had to cut out the water and electricity so that time we were there we had to adapt. Who wants to go on holidat and adapt? Conclusion: My first time was great, my second was very bad. That explains the 3 stars. I would recommend this place if you were on a budget and if it was on offer. Full price it's expensive so I'd rather not pick this place unless you get a discount and you're okay with animals and insects.

As I checked in there was a huge cockroach inside the fridge. Lots of insects (ants, roaches), geckos and centipedes inside the room. Wifi doesn't work. It is not well located. The owners are money-driven and don't worry at all about your well being. I strongly recommend you to stay far from this place. They refused to refund me partially for my stay, neglecting the booking policy they themselves established. They are not serious people. Beware.

Be absolutely careful. I made a reservation for two nights, but I had a day with a heavy backpack that led me over to a horrible hostel. When I checked out, I paid 10 times more for the Seychelles Rupee, making the wrong calculation (EUR for the exchange rate for the Sri Lankan Rupee as the destination), but the female staff did not speak honestly. Eventually I came to the marina to get on the boat and realized that I had to go back and get some (not 100%) money back. An additional tax of 400 Seychelles rupees was paid. My trip to Seychelles is broken and I will never have good memories of this country.

Avoid at all costs! Quite disappointed by the place - low standard of hygiene. COCROACHES everywhere!!!! Dark rooms - like prison cells facing the walls. Old and outdated furniture. Noisy neighbourhood: dogs yupping through the night; people shouting; loud music playing. The ad online is misleading re car park - there is none, but an uneven dirt surface with large stones - up the hill, with about 30 degrees turn to get into a tiny squeeze. No way you can get your car into that "ample" parking. Pity I can't give this place a ZERO mark!

Staying here made a world of difference in my trip! Lorna and her husband went above and beyond to make me feel warm and welcome. The room had everything I needed, I had a beautiful view, and the freshly squeezed juice in the morning was amazing! I will definitely think of Chez Lorna on my next trip. Thank you for giving me a great reason to return!

Rarely does a hotel, inn, or B & B inspire such wonderful feelings. Chez Lorna is truly one of the best I've ever encountered. I would seriously think about staying here forever just to have Lorna cook for me. ~smile~ It's probably one of the most economical places to stay in Victoria in The Seychelles. Flexibility is important. As some have noted, the drawback is that it is 2km from the main town but come on, folks, at only 45 Euro a night it's a bargain. If you don't have a car then the bus is a very easy transportation mode. $30 USD from the airport to Chez Lorna or 2 buses and 72-cents. Take your pick. If you want to go into town or come back it only costs 36-cents each time. A bargain. What was especially wonderful about Chez Lorna was Lorna. She's a wonderful woman who makes a splendid breakfast for only 10 Euro. You can wile away the morning drinking coffee and enjoying the scenery from the breakfast nook. If you're REALLY nice to her, she'll cook you dinner every night if you let her know in advance. The cost is roughly the same as breakfast and she's a fabulous French cook. It's easy to pick up a bottle of wine at the supermarket in town or at the bottom of the hill and enjoy a wonderful evening. It really doesn't get any better than this.

Good for budget stay or for a night or two.Nearby there is tortoise farm which can visible from the stay. Wonderful view of the city and the beach. Stayed here for a night got a small room , its near to the Victoria city , its in up hill and to get any snacks or food items needs to come down almost 500mts and support staff are friendly and helpful especially chula . they also help with getting the taxi too.

Lovely place. Theo and Lorna are amazing hosts. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, but the view from the balconies makes it worth the effort.

We had an awesome stay there last winter. The owners are very kind and pleasant people who treated us with coconuts and bananas a couple of times. We were 4 students tight on budget staying in the apartment for 4. The place is amazing especially for its price. The kitchen, the bathroom, and the air conditioning worked flawlessly. The WiFi wasn’t very great but who needs it in the Seychelles? There’s also a turtle breeding facility across the road so you can see it from your balcony. There’s a bus stop in 200m but the walk from the bus stop to the place is steep - prepare to be athletic:) There’s also 2 small corner shops in the same distance from the property. Victoria is in 30 minutes on foot but you have to walk on the side of the road. The nearest beach is Sunset beach which is peaceful and not very popular.

Apt is far from the city centre but there is everything what you need to make food etc, you will have to climb for few min to get there, small shop is 150m away. View from the terrace is nice and you can see 🐢 behind the fence plus day bat flying around 🤗🤗🤗 The owner Theodor is a verry nice person and he and his wife will help you every single time when you need some advice 😉
