I have to say the first day was a little bit challenging for all. We had an incident that was quickly fixed by management. The hotel director himself took care of the situation with charm and good manners, I really appreciate when management gets involved to contribute to having a perfect stay, it is not easy and not seen on the majority of hotels. It has been extremely exceptional the way the staff as well as the management handled everything, even compensating the small incident with tons of perks. As per the resort, views & villas are superb, food menu is extensive, well thought and every dish is amazing!! Worth every penny!

My wife and I stayed at Anantara Maia for 6 days as part of our honeymoon. We chose this property amongst all of the options in the Seychelles because it looked like amazing accommodations in a great location and was a top-rated resort. Our experience there likely even exceeded our expectations. From the beginning of our stay through our departure, the management and staff were overly welcoming and friendly. Our villa's butler, Alfred, was incredible at making our stay as comfortable and memorable as possible; he went above and beyond with his service and responsiveness. The villa itself was wonderful and had an awesome view of the bay - we spent more time than expected (including a few meals) enjoying the views from the comfort of our pool and outdoor patio. The food at Anantara Maia was also very good and the menus provided many options and different cuisines. My only minor recommendation for management is I think the 'excursion' booking experience could be improved. It wasn't as seamless as hoped for to determine availability and reserve for activities, particularly in advance of our stay. That being said, we greatly enjoyed our time at the resort utilizing their pool and beach amenities, and scheduled a scuba dive one day. We highly recommend Anantara Maia.

To be honest I'm totally speechless about this resort!!!! It's one of the most beautiful resorts I've ever visited. Starting from being welcomed by the General Manager Matthieu who throughout our 3 day stay made us feel so welcome. This resort is like a sanctuary !!! surrounded by the most incredible plantation, waterfalls, and the beach !!! It's the perfect size for those looking to recharge with 30 villas. We were taken care of during our stay by our personal butler Rafael, who was always on call for us. We arrived early but our room was ready for us. Rafael escorted us to our villa which was absolutely STUNNING... I spent the first day not wanting to leave it. It had everything, an incredible view to the beach, a huge pool, balcony area with plenty of sofas to lounge around, kitchen area. The room itself was huge with a stunning outdoor bath. It's an all inclusive luxury plan which meant we could order all our meals to our villa which we did on the first day. (Lunch and breakfast). The second day we dined at the restaurant which was superb!!! We also had one of our dinner's on the beach including a lovely cocktail sundowner. The spa is literally the most beautiful I've visited - a true sanctuary!!! I literally felt that each and every person were so comitted to making our stay special. A true paradise on earth. Thanks Maia Anatara for making this stay unforgettable!!!

we were excited to go back there until they canceled on us WITHOUT telling us the reason whatsoever. unbelievably unprofessional AND RUDE!!!!! naturally it became such a pain to us to cancel the flights and adjust the holiday all over again! Now I promise that we'll NEVER will go back there nor won't use any Anantara resorts. Thanks Mr. Jayamal FERNANDO and the Anantara for your poor service(I mean, the worst!). I have been quite wondering how it've been changed after the new management with Anantara , and NOW I know!!

We had a wonderful stay at Maia celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. Beautiful location, incredible property, comfortable well appointed rooms and a delightful staff there to meet your every need. Nadine, our villa buttler, spoiled us rotten with hot tea at bedtime, hot bubble baths, breakfast & dinners in our villa, sundowners on the beach, candlelit bbq on the beach, appointments at the spa, chocolate cake for our anniversary. The list could go on but simply put she was incredible and we throughly enjoyed getting to know her. She was an absolute delight. Christian and his fabulous team have done incredible job creating such a magnificent home away from home for it's guests. Mike, at the beach, was a real joy and Chef Francis was a delight during our cooking class. I would say service at the beach (with the exception of Mike) could use a little refining as often times we were ignored & had to look for someone if we needed something. Also, we didn't enjoy having breakfast at the restaurant because the birds were out of the control and the staff spent the entire time trying to scare the birds off. Definitely not something you'd expect at a 5 star hotel. We loved the option to helicopter to Praslin straight from the property and we really appreciated the early check-in and great communication with the entire team. We sure hope to return to Maia again in the future. Thanks :)

Simply amazing! our experience in Anantara in Mahè was simply amazing, from the villa, to the service, to the experiences and the food. Everything was perfect and we had such a memorable stay! We really have to thank our butler, Alfred, which is the best ever! he spoiled us and realized all our wishes, making our experience really great! We are a couple traveling the world and we stayed in the most beautiful luxury hotels all around the world but the level of service we experienced here thanks to Alfred and all the amazing Anantara staff was beyond any expectations! Also, the place is stunning, and thanks to the great Anantara's management we were located in the most amazing villa ever, with a breathtaking view of the ocean, a wonderful infinity pool, and an amazing outdoor bath. Alfred prepared us a delicious floating breakfast in the infinity pool, a romantic bubble bath with the best view, and very special private dining in our villa. This stay In Anantara was the highlight of our trip: best hotel and best service, highly recommended. Martina and Roberto

What a fantastic place! We went as the last stop on our honeymoon and had the most amazing time. The whole experience is incredibly luxurious Food: Every single thing we ordered was delicious and it was so nice to be able to choose each day when to eat and whether to eat in the villa or the restaurant. We also got a floating breakfast in the pool one day which was so nice, and a private dinner at the top of the hill on our last night with amazing views Service: This is unlike anything we've ever had before. We could WhatsApp Mohammad for anything we wanted and he was so quick and accommodating! He strived to make our stay as comfortable and memorable as possible, sorting out bubble baths, sunset dinners on the hill, delivering chocolates etc before bed etc. Everyone at the resort is lovely - the staff at the restaurant and the bar always had a big smile, and great attitude. We also had a very late flight on the last day, and asked if we could check out late. Management were super accommodating, and we got to enjoy a full extra day in paradise. Rooms: The villas are amazing, with your own stunning pool and lovely big outside bath it was like your own slice of paradise shut off from the world. We couldn't see anyone else, and had everything we could want around. Views / Activities: The views from everywhere in the resort are stunning. We didn't take advantage of too many of the activities as we wanted to enjoy the villa itself, but we did go snorkelling on the beautiful beach which was very special Overall could not recommend it highly enough and we will be going back as soon as we can.

We recently stayed at Maia for 5 days with the kids ( Ages 7,9 &11) and I can honestly say it was in the top 3 vacations we have been on. From start to finish, the staff were incredibly professional, accommodating, and attentive to all of our needs. Whether we had a question or a request, they always went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The kids were entertained throughout our stay. There was so much for them to do and the staff were spectacular with them. Mike- who made an impromptu snorkel for our daughter who wears glasses. Farida- helped me deal with my daughters incredibly tangled hair- I was ready to cut it. I didn't... because of Farida's help :) Mikhael, Marcus, and Marvin took them snorkeling, kayaking, nature walks, activities in the pool, activities outside the pool, crab hunting...the list goes on. They were never bored. My husband and I were able to relax in our beautiful villa. Our butler, Theo, always available and so professional. Theo always made sure we were comfortable, relaxed, and happy. Maia has one restaurant, but with a great variety of cuisine. the food was DELICIOUS. The perfect portions and the best flavors. The hotel's GM, Mathieu, always visible and approachable, checking in with us regularly and ensuring that everyone was happy and having a good time. Overall, it was the perfect vacation. The hotel is beautiful. Seychelles is a piece of paradise on earth. What makes it more unique/special are the people who live there and make you feel like you are home.

In conclusion in a few words: We have been to many places in the world in many hotels, but never have we got so much of everything at once - ocean, view, hotel, greenery, service in all its forms, delicious food and wonderful drinks, an amazing experience in all its forms and all this with an extremely personal attitude and attention to each guest. This resort can be recommended by anyone with eyes closed and can be sure that there will be no disappointments. We have been to quite a few hotels around the world including the St. Regis with their infamous butler service where we are gold members but trust me... Such service from Chandan as we have received at this hotel never we didn't receive.... This man, so good natured took care of everything for us... we don't know when he was sleeping but from providing buggies for transportation to the resort, to cooking an amazing barbeque especially for us, through hiring a helicopter and organizing our excursion to La Digue... through cleaning our room, through preparing our villa for sleeping, through the preparation of the surprises in our bedroom, including the preparation of our special bath to arranging hookah in our villa on site to our late departure from the resort. Amazing butler! A great and kind man аnd a complete professional. He has learned over the years to anticipate the wishes of the guests and feel how he can be most useful to them and make them feel super special. Thank you Chandan for this! The staff throughout the resort are very nice and friendly. Everyone is smiling and cheerful. The the titular bartender makes great shisha and amazing cocktails, the beach and pool service guys... very cheerful and very accommodating... They made us shell necklaces. The restaurant staff... incredibly welcoming and smiling... the incredibly cheerful and smiling Marvel... we learned a lot from her about Creole cuisine and got great recommendations for delicious food as well as amazing service... as well as all the other staff at the restaurant and bar. The hotel management is amazing. GM - Mathieu Hellec from the moment of our arrival when he greeted us until the moment of our departure almost every day whether at lunch or dinner he was among the guests of the hotel, greeting each one personally and was familiar with every detail of each guest's stay, such as he was checking to make sure everything was okay with everyone. The operations manager Christian ... this guy never sleeps ... Since we got up early because of the time difference, from early morning until late at night, he was in the hotel and everywhere.. Checking and keeping everything under control. He was among the guests non-stop, he was familiar with every little detail or problem or experience for each individual guest. Always smiling and very charismatic, very tactful and solved even the smallest problem or inconvenience immediately and in a way that makes you smile and continue your vacation with a sense of satisfaction. There is one restaurant in the resort but it offers 4 or 5 different types of cuisine... Asian, Italian, Creole, Indian, Snacks and beach food, BBQ and more. As a first time visitor to Seychelles, reading the comments of many many visitors to the islands we were skeptical about the food but..... We will surprise you but from day one to the last moment... there was nothing that wasn't amazingly delicious, prepared with absolutely fresh products / our fresh juices were prepared after plucking a star fruit from the tree at the resort/. I highly recommend, red snapper in salt baked, their barbecue in all forms, creole style octopus curry with coconut milk and sushi... There was nothing that wasn't there... even if it's not on the menu, their Chefs prepare it in the kitchen....

My partner and I were extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to stay at Maia for seven nights last month. An absolutely unforgettable experience, jaw-dropping from start to finish. Pristinely kept, luscious grounds that make you feel completely at peace in nature, leading up to beautiful, spacious, private villas & welcoming open areas on a stunning quiet beachside. Aside from the wonderful surroundings, the food & drink menus were totally unparalleled. ‘Anything anytime’ was their mantra; normally this would mean lots of 'ok' results but wow, the quality & skill of the chiefs was remarkable (especially considering how many different cuisines there were on offer). Deepa the mixologist, who was a really lovely guy, made next-level cocktails too -- we’ve not had one since that’s been even close to as delicious! That leads me to the best part of the stay, the staff. Honestly, it was such a privilege to meet such kind, skilful, giving people. Every single member of the Maia team we met treated us so warmly. They were so friendly & attentive, going above and beyond always. They managed to do thoughtful things before we’d even considered them, without ever feeling imposing- which was incredible! They would always just take a second to gently go out of their way to make sure everything was perfect & that you wanted for nothing. I was hoping to experience the beautiful Indian ocean and do some snorkelling but my partner has a fear of open water. Mike (the instructor) was such a lovely vibe, he was so calm, caring & articulate. He put her mind at ease within a few sentences & we were out in the open water for hours, it was magical. Takes a special kind of person to help someone conquer a fear like that so effortlessly. Juna, another staff member, also literally saved my back & lent me her own rash vest so I didn’t burn which was so kind & appreciated. All the people we spoke to from the restaurant/bar/beach crew were so sincere, genuine & warm. They each gave us a sense of what mattered to the people of Seychelles; caring for others, conserving nature, feeling grateful for the beauty we were surrounded by & sharing knowledge. The biggest mic drop has to go to our host Nady. Wow WOW. What an absolute gem of a human. He honestly facilitated a level of relaxed peace of mind that helped me recover from ten years of burnout. Not only did he keep our villa immaculate but he also set up little surprises that filled us with joy every day. He even organised a beautiful dinner on the beach which resulted in a surprise double proposal- absolutely magical. Nady worked so hard, he was bright and adept every day of our stay, he's been with Maia. It was so special to have him look after us with such a wonderful level of care & professionalism. I hope our paths cross again someday but for now, we carry with us the once-in-a-lifetime memories that he was instrumental in creating. We can only dream to come back to Maia one day, thank you, we hold such gratitude to all those who worked to make it such an unforgettable experience.

We stayed 9 days at Anantara Maia for our honeymoon, and we loved every bit of it. Everything from the yoga sessions, the amazing villas, the beautiful and natural grounds, the spa treatments, to the beautiful secluded beach is truly 5+ stars. But a few things stood out: - Our villa host, Thushanta, was extremely helpful, adaptive to our needs, and mindful of when we wanted privacy. Always going above and beyond with a smile, providing suggestions and special treats to make sure we had the best trip of our lives. - The food... omg so good! There were so many options from authentic local Creole to good ole Mediterranean, all living up to the super high-quality of this little paradise. The portions were small-ish, which was actually a good thing as it allowed us to savour several dishes at every meal. Besides their current selection, the chef was happy to make anything we requested. Live musicians came every other night, providing extra ambiance. Thushanta also arranged a romantic dinner on the beach for us where little ghost crabs popped up to say hi. - Mike, the activities guy, gave us an incredible paddleboard lesson, and was in general, always there with good advice and a helping hand. To be honest, this goes for all the staff. They couldn't be friendlier, talking to us about Seychellois culture, smiling and laughing, and always making sure we had a good time. Tip: Even though you could easily be seduced to just staying inside this beautiful resort, we highly recommend doing a few trips to explore the islands. We especially liked the Copolia hike and the all-day Creole Odyssea boat tour around the island with snorkeling and a private Creole BBQ on an isolated beach. We would just advise avoiding Victoria and Moyenne island as there is not much to see. Thank you, Maia! We will be back.

We stayed for a night to see what was so wonderful about it. The hot water didn’t work. It took them hours to fix it. Later around midnight we got locked out of our room though we didnt lock the door. Later we learned from our the guy who opened it that it sometimes gets stuck and it happens. Nobody apologized for anything. The German manager who greeted us when we came didn’t have the decency to come and apologize about the problems. We trashed our money. Good thing we had stayed in other resorts before this place.

It was one of the best hotel experiences we've had. Our villa host Anton and the hotel director Mathieu, along with all the staff were particularly helpful and made sure we had a wonderful time. For the location and resources available to them we thought the food was excellent as well. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing hotel, wonderful friendly staff and management, nice food. We unfortunately only stayed for 1 night, but it was well worth it, our butler organized us a lovely dinner in our villa, ran us a gorgeous bubble bath and was very attentive to all our needs. The guy that assists with kayaks/paddle boards at the restaurant was also so cool, so friendly and just all round nice. We’ll definitely stay for longer next time round!

The best resort ever! From the moment you enter the hotel, every corner of the hotel feels like luxury. Greeted by the GM upon arrival, taken to our villa with most incredible view and sunset views (villa 213, May 2022). Our personal assistant Ari went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.,bubble baths with sunset view, dinner on the beach, even helped us to extend visas with immigration. Highly recommend! Will be back soon.

The food and the concept in the resort was amazing and works so well. I especially enjoyed the spa experience and the incredible beautiful surroundings of the spa. I really cannot wait to come back again!!
