Gami Chicken & Beer

Restaurant Chicken restaurant Korean restaurant Fried chicken takeaway

👍 Good outpost of this consistent fried chicken chain. We love the boneless chicken for easier eating. All sauces are great - soy garlic is our favourite. Not artificial tasting at all. Double fried chips are great. You can order by the app as well. People often mention chicken, fried, Gami, sauce, garlic, Korean, sweet, good,

Chicken was average as it was fried but not the tastiest. Nice environment and good came quickly.

Gami is a simple modern Korean restaurant. Known for its fried chicken and cheesy dishes. We ordered a kimchi pancake, cheesy corn, and fried chicken wings with sweet & spicy and mustard & honey sauce. I personally prefer to have the chicken without any sauce, but my friends did love the mustard and honey sauce. Everyone agrees that the spicy & sweet sauce was a little too sweet.

4++ stars. Food quality: + Boneless chicken offered, targeted at Westerners who can’t be bothered about dealing with bones while eating. + GreT chosen with reasonable goods sauces. + Tteok-bokki with Chinese was delicious, absolutely worthwhile to pay more for chess. Food portion / Price: Aussie d size as expected. Service: Restively quick to serve after ordering. Friendly staff who Sep help you explain your queries. Crowd: Some crowd during lunch in cost restraint but there’s water still some space left. Payment: Able to split bills for those seated at same table. Card and cash accepted.

Gami Chicken in Hawthorn delivers in the consistently good Korean fried chicken you expect from Gami. Great flavour options and range of ways to enjoy their beautiful chicken. Boneless is definitely the highlight. Service here is polite and fast. Good seating options inside and out. Drinks menu is serviceable too.

Well cooked & flavourful Korean fried chicken & pancakes. The spicy flavour was just right, not too hot for most palettes but will disappoint if you're after real burn. Service was friendly, not much to fault. Doesn't have the same atmosphere as the city store but if you prefer a quieter location this would suit.

Was nice and smiling service. Fries are rustic, twice cooked. So inside was soft and not oily..outside was amazing crunch and a bit oily. Chicken had nice spices but not too much and very juicy, hot and crunchy. Soy garlic is a nice flavor with some sweetness. Will come again with mates and get their beer keg.

Taste: 4/5 Portions: medium Price: $-$$ The fried chicken was good. The sweet chilli and soy garlic sauces were almost indistinguishable, and the sweet chilli sauce was throughly disappointing.

Had a craving for friend chicken and Gami never fails! We chose the boneless chicken with sweet chilli and soy garlic sauce and it was delicious and cooked to perfection. Also had the rice cakes and cheese corn and everything was on point. I’ve noticed that their menu has extended to more Korean dishes but I think I’ll stick to their friend chicken. Service is decent. Has a tiny outdoor area so it’s okay for pups. We went on a Sunday and was just lucky to find a good park. Would definitely be back!

Chicken was dry as hell. Portion was too small based on the face $21 was charged. This always happens when businesses grow big. Would suggest to control their quality. I am gami customer since it open itself door. Quality dropping day by day. Such a shame

Our dinner here was awesome! They have the best fried chicken in town in my opinion. The staffs were so friendly and we were served promptly. Undoubtedly gonna come back to try something new!

Used to order often and sometimes eat in, since you started charging for radish I’ll go elsewhere. There’s so many Korean fried chicken places available in Melbourne

OK food. Tasty. A bit expensive for what you get. Take away is a bit haphazard. Times seem to blow out by over 50% - and delivery drivers seem to get priority. Pokey chairs and tables do not make for a comfortable eat in experience

Worst Gami chain. The flavour is so bland and not what it's meant to be like. Pickled onion tasted like watered onion. There was barely any soy garlic dressing on the chicken. The corn cheese was also bland. For the price you pay, not worth it. Gamis in Fountain Gate, however, is what their food is meant to taste like! Sooo much better for what you get.

The chicken was accompanied by a delicious dipping sauce that elevated the flavor even further. If you're a fan of crispy and flavorful chicken. It's a mouthwatering treat that will leave you craving for more.

Cocktail was yummy but cheese potato dish left me with a upset stomach. Cheese sticks served cold? Coleslaw was old but at least gave us a new serve. And no veggie burger so I was sad.

I love Gami in general, but today's experience was completely different. I ordered a grilled chicken burger instead of the usual korean fried chicken and oh No !! Never again, it was one of the worst burgers I have ever had..

This restaurant is absolutely amazing. Bryan & Selina are incredibly hard working, and so nice to talk to. I have eaten from them 500 times, and their spicy chicken with rice has never failed me. Definitely eat at this restaurant!

Gami is the best fried chicken I’ve ever had in Melbourne! Highly recommend wings with soy garlic sauce. Whenever ends lockdown, definitely fly to Gami to try new dishes and wonderful drinks!

For a quick Korean fix, you can’t go wrong with Gami Chicken. Their beef bulgogi was especially tender and tasty. Stir fried with sweet potato noodles and served with rice plus a side of salad, this dish really hit the spot. And of course they have Korean fried chicken with a crispy coating on succulent pieces of chicken. Definitely an antidote for those winter blues☀️

I have never tried the best chicken in Melbourne since I went to Gami Hawthorn. The food is fantastic and the staff are very friendly and professional. The best option is Soy garlic and Sweet Chilli boneless. Highly recommended and I will definitely come back in the future!
