My recent experience at Oscar Wylee Chadstone was the best experience I have had after many, many years of wearing glasses. The staff were extremely helpful, and pleasant to deal with. The range of frames was great. In the past I have always found it difficult to find frames that suit me. This was not the case and I could have easily purchased many more. Looking forward to returning for a change next year.

I have been twice to this store and both times the store staff are rude and quickly dismiss you if they know you are not buying that day. If you are getting a quote - they quickly right it down literally threw me the paper and moved on to the next person. I’ll go get my glasses at another store now.

An excellent optical store. Staff caring and incredibly efficient. I have been using Oscar Wyler for a number of years and they always are great. Testing of eyes is always with great care and diligence. Done with very good advice also. (computer glasses etc). Very important that you get eyes tested and they take great care and diligence. Good range of glasses too. Also fixed my glasses bought 18 months. Unconditional recommend.

No wait time in queue. Diagnosis was accurate and the next day my eye symptoms improved. Was very surprised. I am happy with outcome. I should have got it fix 6 weeks ago. Thanks to Ed, I now feel so much better.

Needed to see Optometrist urgently and they were very helpful in fitting me in. The optometrist was excellent, thorough and informative. He also offered an explanation for my condition the medical group at a nearby hospital had not considered which now appears to be the case. Thank you.

I decided to try out Oscar Wylee as I liked one of the frames with the comfortable nose pieces. Was pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. Optometrist was professional, knowledgeable and explained everything well. Taking measurements once I had chosen the glasses was very smooth and professional. Overall quite happy with the glasses I got. Edit: Though the glass frames are very light if you have very high prescription (-7.5 onwards) you may find it a little heavy on the nose as the lens area is larger than the really small lens (not necessarily fashionable) ones I used to get. I got glasses from the petite range but they still have larger lenses than what I used to buy. They are aesthetically nicer but it is something to consider if you have very high prescriptions (even with the 1.74 index ones).

Received a call from them a day before my appointment to confirm. Was asked what’s the reason for the eye test and if I’m making any glasses with them. When caller found out that I’m only going in for the test and uncertain if I’m getting any glasses done, she immediately told me it would be easier to go to my previous optometrist. So no glasses no eye test even when it’s funded by Medicare?

I went to Oscar Wylee in Chadstone and the team was really knowledgeable and professional. Super happy with the pairs that I picked out and will definitely be returning in the future!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I had the most terrible experience at Oscar Wylee Chadstone a few months back. Absolutely disappointed. I have been their regular customer for years. Every now and then I come in to store to have my glasses re-adjusted. One day, I came in to store to have my spare glasses re-adjusted including the current one I'm using as part of my errand. The process was regular until the lady who adjusted them scratched my lenses during repair. What's worse was the pair she scratched were the pair I use daily! When she handed it back to me to check the fit, I told her, 'hey there's a scratch'. She inspected it and said 'I don't know how it happened I didn't scratch it'. I was using the glasses seconds before I gave it to her to re-adjust. I had them on all this time without any issues. She kept denying that she did not cause a scratch. I told her, 'it wasn't there before'. She kept denying this and took no accountability, even though between me and her, she was the one who was holding the pliers... The scratch was fairly big and deep to touch. It's visible for others to see and it was also distracting my vision. Please refer to the photos attached - left lens affected. I told her to speak to her manager to seek resolution. She requested that I come back to the store in 20 minutes as her manager was not available. Whilst I waited, I received a phone call to return to store. She told me over the phone that there's nothing they can do as she did not do it. I asked her is there anything you can offer me as I am now left to replace my lenses that I did not scratch in the first place. She quoted me over $400 to replace them. I returned to the store and to my disappointment, the manager did not even speak to me about this matter or even offered their apologies. From this experience, I am extremely reluctant to return to Oscar Wylee. I left the store that day absolutely defeated and disappointed. I have been a customer of Oscar Wylee since 2018 and never had any issues until now. This experience caused me great emotional distress and anxiety. The glasses she scratched were my newest pair and the fact I was quoted over $400 to replace the lenses is ridiculous. There was very little to no sympathy shown from the sales assistant and manager, which makes me feel their only concern is making money from me rather than helping me. It has taken me a few months to gain confidence to write this review as this incident still distresses me and makes me anxious to this day. Not everyone has $400 to spare at a drop of a hat in this current climate. Wearing eyeglasses is an essential for me since I was 10 yrs old and all these years, never have I come across such an incident. I've had enough experience in wearing glasses to recognise that this is beyond a superficial scratch you would get from wear and tear but rather a mechanical scratch. I am seeking the urgent attention of the head office to please review this matter. I do not wish to cut ties with the company nor do I want to take my business elsewhere if it can be helped. I've always preferred getting my glasses at Oscar Wylee all these years and it's familiar to me. However, I would appreciate it if someone could get in touch with me about this matter. Just went to get a foreign body remove from my eye. Very friendly and knowledgeable optometrist Kevin helped me out. He was very thorough and did a quick check for my eyes as well. Really appreciate the help!!

Went here today with a friend for the first time and the experience met our expectations. Thank you for providing a wonderful customer service. We would like to thank Tina for her understanding, support and resolving the issue with the glasses. Will go there again.

From the moment I walked in to the moment I left I was very impressed. Every staff member was so happy, polite and helpful. The optometrist listened to my concerns and made sure I left confident in my decision. They made sure the optional extras were explained and how they could help me and my glasses get to the full potential. 10/10 would recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I attended to the Chadstone store for eye test on Sunday, well it’s a different experience. The eye test doc was amazing, professional, nice, straight to the point, fantastic customer service, and she gave decent advises. However with the shore staff I didn’t feel comfortable at all. I’m an old customer of their store and I’ve purchased fairly a few pairs of glasses during the 3-4 years. I booked eye test only that day because I felt like my glasses are getting different, and planned to get new glasses after. but I didn’t have time to look at new glasses that day because I had plans with my friend. I told them so on the phone, at the store for at least 3 times. I though to do a test first and come back to choose the frames later. Since from the very start, the staff kept asking me the questions and giving quotes, although I’ve told them I was just up to the eye test on that day. After the eye test, I asked the front desk lady who is in short hair style if I can get the report. She rejected me for the first time without even looked at me and then said she can send the email to me but not responsible for the result if I don’t purchase with them, with a very cold face. Well, I hadn’t thought of going to somewhere else for the purchasing before she told me so, now I’m seriously considering. By the way, 3 days has passed and I still haven’t received the result. I like Oscar Wylee because I like their design. But at least I’m going to that particular store anymore. I felt like I would be treated like sh** If I don’t purchase anything there, even I was a loyal customer who even likes to recommend Oscar Wylee to her friends!

Had a great experience getting new glasses with the team at the Chadstone store. They were attentive and helpful and did an additional eye test to check my prescription was correct before putting through the order for my new glasses.

Tina helped me with my purchase and she was very lovely and polite. She was understanding and patient while I made up my mind. Never rushed me. Always service with a smile. Thank you Tina.

Went to get my eyes tested and picked a couple of frames. The staff were so pleasant and absolutely lovely. As soon as I arrived they fixed my current glasses (because the arms were hanging loosely) and gave them a clean which was awesome and the service has been one of the best ive experiencd! They truly made me feel special and accommodated my needs and answered all my questions. Would recommend this Oscar Wyle 110%

Great experience at Oscar Wylee Chadstone! They had space for an appointment right then and there, super professional and calm experience with the eye test, optometrist gave me all the info regarding results of my test and they had a great range of glasses to choose from. Very happy with everything 😊

I came in frantically after having snapped my very old glasses in half and the staff were so great in helping me choose 2 new pairs and checking my prescription was right and they even went to the effort of finding a spare frame that fit my current lenses so I have glasses to wear until the new ones arrive! So appreciative of their efforts :)

Great experience with my eye test and afterwards was helped pick suitable glasses / frames. Ended up buying 3 pairs. Now just waiting for them to be ready for pick up. Looking forward to wearing them.

Really enjoyed my experience here. The 3 pairs deal makes for good value. The range was very good, and I like that the glasses almost all cost the same. I have found that other glasses places may seem cheaper in general, but the nice frames I end up wanting are actually the few very expensive ones. I found they had a good range of formal styles, as well as more out-there styles, that work well for getting some extra more fun glasses, especially considering the three pairs deal. Colour tinted lens are very good value too, barely more than regular lenses. Customer service was great. I was served by a lady called Sue, and she was super helpful. She explained everything very well, like blue blocking lenses and pricing, and gave great customer service and advice. I was unsure the my prescription was correct, but had difficulty finding a time to schedule optometry, so she went out of her way to get my order ready, and put it on hold until I could call to confirm my script. This was super helpful for me, and ensured that I could get the glasses in time for an event. Went above and beyond to help me out!🙂 Much appreciated!

The optometrist was very good and took time to explain the condition and options. But the store staff were only pushing for quotes and do not seem to understand customer experience needs and made it feel like a dollar shop.

The optometrist was super attentive and informative to my concerns and provided me an accurate prescription. Staff in front were really lovely and friendly. I highly recommend if you're looking for quality and friendly service along with fashionable glasses. 😊

Went in and requested to fix a pair of eye glasses we purchased but instead was told off for buying the wrong pair and was talking in a very rude manner. Will not go into this ever again. Worst customer service 😑. Updated edit - the lady called back on my personal mobile phone and complained about my 1 star review. Very unprofessional. We are entitled to leave a review about our own experience. My review should be taken on as a learning curve. I changed it to 2 stars as yes, she did try to help but it was done so in a very rude and demeaning way.

Went in to see if there’s available spot for an eye test but the staff tried to sell me lenses even before performing a test for me. She said there’s no available time for me even I have checked online that there was spots available, asked me to have a look if I want to buy any glasses and she could then see if she could squish me in, asked me to go to other stores for test when I said I wanted to have a test done first before buying anything.

Hi, the eye test wasn't as thorough as I've done before, and your glasses choice is very limited in styles. Couldn't find two pairs to suit me. Also dissapointing that you can't get the lenses replaced on your existing glasses unless they are from your store.

From the moment I walked in a staff member was very loud talking to an Asian family why do we do that still as if we raise our voices people understand us better! So the optometrist takes care of me and does my initial check in his abit nervous I guess not his job The eye check was the usual procedure but the atmosphere was lacking

Pro- Friendly service and thorough eye test. Con- over half the sunglasses on display were out of stock (and not coming back in) so it is actually a small selection to choose from and misleading. Why put glasses out that people can’t order or buy??

Changed from Specsavers to get a more upmarket choice of frames. Frame selection slightly more on trend, service good from optometrist, but on the day I went the staff were not helpful in frame selection. Vanessa attitude a little abrupt. On the day I picked up frames, staff at counter were much more friendly and helpful with fitting. No cleaning solution provided with frames either. Overall it was worth trying out, but I do not think I will use again.

A big thank you to Ed who helped my elderly mum with her annual eye check up. She tend to talk a lot and doesn't listen to instructions well. Pretty hard person to work with sometimes. His patient, friendliness, and professionalism contributed to good customer experience. Also thanks to Sue for helping and giving advice to my mum when she was selecting the wide range of glasses at your store. Pretty daunting for an old person. By the way she loves the tote Oscar Wylee bag.

The optometrist Eric was brilliant. He was patient, knowledgeable and very helpful. Even came out to give me help choosing frames. Excellent service by all the staff at Chadstone.

Was really happy with the eye test! The optometrist was friendlyand explained everything really thoroughly and seemed to genuinely care about my eye health. When I went to buy glasses the store manager was helpful in assisting me to select pairs. I did feel pressured later when I went to buy them though - she tried to charge me just over $600 for three pairs when I thought I’d be able to get the three for $250. Some of the additional costs I understand, but I think these additional costs should have been explained upfront and the shop assistant should take no for an answer. Would be keen to go back to Oscar Wylee again in future as I love their glasses but might try a different store.

The optometrist Andrew was very professional, friendly and thorough. I would definitely recommend him, as my previous eye check experience (at another provider) was very poor. He restored my faith. 🙂

Brought mum here for testing and new specs. The staff were really tentative and supportive to the elderly. Took their time to explain everything to her. I really appreciate their patience w her.

I paid for my eye test and the employee did not give me my test result. I needed to call them so that they emailed me my prescription. However, my prescription doesn’t contain full details of my test (missing PD) so I basically cannot use my prescription from Oscar Wylee. It’s such a waste of money. Be careful if you want to use their services!
