Marmara
is
a
Turkish
restaurant
located
at
the
Windsor
end
of
Chapel
Street.
The
family-owned
establishment
has
been
serving
authentic
Turkish
cuisine
for
over
40
years,
bringing
the
flavors
and
traditions
of
Turkey
to
the
table.
The
menu
offers
a
wide
range
of
authentic
dishes,
including
meze
platters,
lamb
kebabs,
stuffed
grape
leaves
and
baklava.
The
dishes
are
made
with
fresh
ingredients
and
cooked
using
traditional
techniques.
They
are
participating
in
The
Fork’s
50%
Dining
Festival
so
i
have
them
a
try
on
a
Monday
night,
The
Mixed
Dips
were
okay,
we
ran
out
of
their
fluffy
Turkish
bread
and
instead
of
offering
more,
they
simply
took
the
empty
basket,
leaving
us
with
a
plate
full
of
dip
and
nothing
to
eat
it
with.
The
service
was
slow
and
inattentive,
I
did
notice
new
staff
training
so
I
will
put
this
down
to
being
understaffed.
On
the
positive
side,
the
Manti
(Turkish
Dumplings)
portion
was
very
generous,
although
it
could
have
used
more
spice
or
heat.
I
appreciated
that
it
wasn't
oily
like
some
other
versions
I've
had.
The
Prawns
were
juicy
and
delicious,
but
the
sides
on
the
plate
were
underwhelming.
The
salad
lacked
dressing
and
looked
drab.
Overall,
Marmara
offers
a
taste
of
authentic
Turkish
cuisine,
but
there
are
areas
where
improvements
could
be
made.
They
have
created
a
nice
vibe
with
the
decor
which
sets
a
romantic
mood.
