We went to the park today in the morning, right after it opened. The entrance fee was 450 rupees per person. At the entrance, several tour guides offered us their services for different prices (1000 rupees for 2 people, and another 40 euros for two people). The park was beautiful and we were lucky enough to see black parrots. There are some spiders in the park. Wonderful experience.

Age old palmtrees, tropical heat and local guides available. Praslin wildlife visible, easy to walk on solid paths.

We bought the combo ticket Vallée de Mai & Fond Ferdinand. You can visit each reservation in different days. We enjoyed both. Vallée de Mai is an easy walk, I think you can learn more things if you choose to take a guide. However, we like to enjoy the ride alone. On the other hand, Fond Ferdinand is more suitable to go without guide. You have quite a hike with a wonderful view at the end. Bonus, you can spend time with the giant tortoises. We preferred more Fond Ferdinand, but both experiences have been great.

A very unique place and an awesome experience. Highly recommended to take a guided tour in the park. The story is very interesting and fun!

It’s a UNESCO site, protected because of the coco de mer trees that can only be found here. But think I didn’t quite get the point of this place because I trusted the reviews and didn’t get a guide, so it turned out to be an underwhelming and expensive hike on a flat terrain, where all we saw was huge spiders. No animals to be seen without a guide. Also I think the price is too high but at least in this case it funds the protection of endangered species so I feel better about that. There are 3 paths, they say they take 1,2 or 3 hours but it takes much less than that. We picked the longest and walking slowly we finished it in exactly 60 minutes

First of all: it’s beautiful! But here some useful information. After checking our temperature you will be asked to walk wit a guide for 150-200 rupee in English of French. After declining that she told us we don’t see the black parrot if we don’t be guided: newsflash! We’ve seen a lot of them! Just listening for the call and falling berries and you will see the parrot. It’s is really easy to walk the long (2KM) route. We did it with stopping and making photos in 1 hour. It’s a clean and paved park for a nice morning walk!

Very nice walk in the jungle, feels like Jurassic Park. The trail is very easy, it is not as much hiking as a walk through a very interesting forest. Recommend the longer 2-3 hour trail because you won't be bothered by the big groups just stopping in the middle of the path being loud. I think a guide would provide valuable information but we went on our own and managed to find most of the objectives, the black parrot etc.

Ancient forest of Coco de Mer. The biggest palm or coconut in the world. This is a place to visit in the island. We came here on day trip from Mahe.

Nice place to visit if you want to see the native palm trees with the famous huge melon sized coconuts. If you are lucky you may spot some creatures like black parrot, tenrec, chameleon or golden gecko. A bit expensive for 450SCR per person. We did not want to take a guide (of course, you are told you miss a lot) but we like to explore ourselves, with as much time as we want to look around and take photos. It has taken 2-3 hours to slowly walk through all the paths.

(Translated by Google) Nice park, but entry with 350 rupees quite expensive. Plus another 100 rupees for the tour (in a larger group), which you will only find out at the end of the tour, only then will you be charged in the middle of the forest. Only two tours a day are free! There is no view from the viewpoint (shelter) at the other end of the park! But otherwise everything was fine, the leadership was also very good and entertaining. If you only want to see a coco de mer palm tree, you only have to walk 50 meters down the street from the park entrance and see a palm tree with more seeds than any of the palm trees in the park (see first photo)!

This is the most incredible jungles in Seychelles, exciting and breathtaking. Giant palms and local coconuts. The hiking path is not hard at all even from 4 yo child. Everywhere you can find a bench to rest if requires. We were lucky to notice a black parrot, several local birds, a hedgehog and giant nails. In the middle of July it's quite fresh weather, better to put on a hoody. are interesting

It's too expensive for what it is. We tooked around 1 hour and half to finish the long way, and we didn't find much apart from the coco de mer. 450 scr without guide. Little bit disappointing.

700 rupees for two people.. wow. This was the most expensive National Park we visited at the seychelles so far. I am not giving only 3 stars for the Park, as the Park itself is majestic (the high palms, the sound when the wind was going through). I am giving only 3 stars because of the unfriendly staff which seems to make nothing in this park? The walk through seemed to be totally abandoned.. fallen leaves, broken down palm leaves.. looked like nobody is caring for this park. A tube in the middle of the creek. broken down signs.. Therefore the ticket price is really to high. The Park says the ticket price goes also to the Aldabra Atoll and the Seychelle environmental program, if this is true the price is fine for us.

There is enough parking space across the street. You can't buy drinks at the moment. Take enough with you. Don't forget mosquito repellent. (Original) Sehr schöner und gepflegter Park. What an amazing experience! We were there when it was raining VERY heavily, but the palm trees were protecting us from the rain so we could enjoy everything. We saw coco de mer (lots of them), lots of different types of birds, trees, this is a great option if you want to try something else than beaches. don't forget your insect repellent 😊

Had a short tour of the forest for about 30-45 minutes. The tour was part of a longer 1 day excursion so time was short. Our guide was very good and we got a good insight into the forest and particularly the Coco de Mer trees. The walk is very easy and even though it was a hot day the forest canopy provides good shade. Take plenty of bug repellent, you will need it.

At $25 USD per person, it is pricey, but you will get transported into a “Jurassic “ forest with huge palms and coconuts the size of basketballs. It is worth a visit. We self-guided but you can hire guides at the entrance but I’m sure they aren’t cheap.

Great place… as a person who likes to walk, I would highly recommend this place.. And if you are a well read person, you certainly do not need a tour guide… They would make you walk around on a faster pace and you won’t be able to enjoy the serene walk… and make sure to walk along the outside road for a couple of kilometers either way… you will enjoy it….

The museum was fairly small and didn’t have much to see. However, this is where you will find the Coco De Mer which is worth seeing and getting a picture taken with. If you follow the road you will see the coconuts in the forest which are huge.

We arrived with a rented car, parked in the adjacent parking lot, paid an entrance fee and chose to take a guide plus 150 rupees per person, a choice that turned out to be very correct. Our guide was called Albert, a guy with the joy of life and the ability to convey information in a light and fun way, who is in his company for about two hours, the place is shady and pleasant to stay with and Albert's explanations were very enjoyable.

Unique experience one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, this ancient forest is home to the wondrous Coco de Mer palm, which has the largest seed in the world. Amazing walk in the jungle - untouched very well preserved..I recommend you get a free guide and tip them to help you spot what you shouldnt be missing in the jungle. There are several paths, 1,2,3 hr long. It’s all the same views. Only difference is that you are more likely to spot lizards/ birds/ etc and if you enjoy walking you might take the longer path otherwise no value add

We really enjoyed visiting the site. It took us around 1h30 min. We started the visit by hiring a private guide whose name is Julietta and it was a very good idea as she shared with us invaluable knowledge about the endemic flora and fauna, as well as historical anecdotes. The site is well kept by the botanic team and the path are cleared continuously. They allow for the nature to regenerate through natural compost of fallen leaves and fruits, but it won’t impact your trail walk. Enjoy!

I wish I had more time here! An hour or two in this beautiful site is not enough. You need to allocate some real time to wander through the forest of 100+ foot palms, enjoy the breeze, and really take it in. There are several walking trails you can choose and I recommend you do the longer one and walk all the way through and really enjoy it. It was amazing to see these beautiful and tall trees in this palm forest of over 4000 coco de mer trees. It was great to learn about these endemic plants, to see them in various stages of growth, and to see the famous seed/nut from the plant that is the largest on earth and weighs 25-35 pounds! Plan so you have enough time to walk around and really enjoy it - it wasn't especially crowded when we were here so it would've been great to have time to get immersed and enjoy it at leisure but I was with a travel group. They have a nice cafe here and a gift shop as well.

It is true that you can see sea coconut trees from the road as well and it is true that the entrance costs money, but you will not be allowed to enter the reserve. There are three routes in the reserve, of one hour, two hours and three in practice can be done in much less time. The short route is definitely enough, if you are with children or short on time, it starts with a climb with stairs but the path is neat and definitely possible for children as well. You walk through dozens and more of sea coconut trees, just amazing views. Currently the entrance hours are between 09:00 in the morning and 16:00, last hour for entry at 15:00. You can be updated on the reserve's website.
