Sterereick
#13
of
best
restaurants
in
the
world
and
2
star
Michelin
recipient.
A
fine
dining
restaurant
with
white
glove
service.
If
you're
looking
for
a
pleasant
and
sophisticated
dining
experience,
along
with
an
execution
of
culinary
mastery,
and
a
focus
on
experimental
dishes,
this
definitely
a
place
worthy
of
trying.
Steireick
has
both
a
la
carte
and
tasting
menu.
But
as
a
solo
diner,
I
opted
for
a
7
course
tasting
menu
to
get
a
full
experience
of
what
the
restaurant
has
to
offer.
Each
course
has
2
selections
that
you
could
choose,
so
it
makes
for
a
diverse
menu.
However,
the
concept
also
makes
the
experience
a
bit
less
cohesive
-
I
enjoy
each
dish
individually,
but
as
a
whole
experience
and
transitioning
of
flavor,
they
are
too
scattered
and
less
tailored
than
a
traditional
tasting
menu.
There
is
no
building
up,
no
transitioning,
and
no
ending,
just
various
dishes
in
its
singularity.
You
don't
see
the
story
telling
of
the
chef
and
his
personal
taste,
but
rather
a
show
of
mastery
in
ingredients
and
execution.
To
their
fair
effort
-
Sterereick,
like
any
two
star
Michelin
restaurant,
does
pursue
the
mission
of
creative
and
innovative
cuisine,
and
they
challenge
themselves
with
very
interesting
ingredients
that
would
pique
your
curiosity.
The
taste
profile
of
each
dish
is
definitely
unpredictable,
which
are
rather
fun
for
people
that
enjoy
experimental
cuisine
and
surprise.
I
was
particularly
impressed
with
the
sunflower
dishes
and
the
usage
of
the
stem
heart,
I
never
thought
the
stem
could
be
used
for
food
and
they
turn
out
well
with
an
interesting
texture.
They
have
a
very
generous
selection
of
bread
and
cheese
that
would
blow
the
hardest
critics
and
fanatics
away.
As
for
wine
-
it's
a
disappointment
that
even
thou
I
asked
for
a
recommendation
for
at
least
3-4
glasses
of
wine,
I
never
get
to
see
the
sommelier
and
hear
his
explanation
for
the
selections.
The
wine
was
good
on
its
own,
but
for
a
restaurant
of
this
esteem
and
fame
i
imagine
the
sommelier
could
have
been
more
attentive.
All
and
all,
I
had
a
pleasant
time
that
aligns
with
my
expectations
for
a
two
star
Michelin
restaurant.
Not
sure
if
it
would
be
on
the
top
50
of
my
list,
but
I
am
glad
I
get
to
dine
here.
Like
the
mirror
entrance
that
blends
well
with
the
forest
but
still
distinct,
Sterereick
design
invites
you
to
the
innovative
cuisine
that
is
master
to
the
little
detail,
lean,
sleek,
but
delightfully
beautiful.
As
you
step
into
the
restaurant,
you
step
into
a
different
tranquil
world
of
haute
cuisine,
while
sitting
amid
a
beautiful
park.
