The food quality was quite mediocre. Preparations were nicer looking than tasting. Prices were therefore slightly high, inflated by the location. The service was ok. Most of the other guest was foreign as us: in such cases there is normally a reason why.

Honestly the worsted Michelin I've been to. Really disappointing. How can this possibility on a big gourmand? - service was cold and slow. - We didn't drink and asked for tap water. They served bottled water anyway. - the bread wasn't warm enough. Although there's one with cumin seed was quite nice. - The food portion was tiny and way too salty. the starter figs and goat cheese with toasted walnuts were fine. Nothing spectacular. The consome was basically salt water. We had to chug down liters of water to go with it. - The veal pattie and pumpkin was also very salty. You can't taste the texture of veal. - dessert were also very mediocre - even after chugging down liters of water and bread to try to cleanse the salted palate, as a small eater, I still felt hungry 🙁 Only left with expensive bill that piled up by my bottled water cost, empty stomach, and salted tongue. Honestly wouldn't go again. There are so many other restaurants are far better than this. It's a pity because the ambiance was really nice but the service and food were not even matching to regular restaurant.

The food was exceptional, delicious, and creative. The chef tried to provide a solution for vegan dishes and did a great job serving dishes that were not on the menu and were prepared, especially for us. At the same time, the service was not completely tight. There is room for improvement. All in all, I had an outstanding experience, and I would recommend it.

Unforgettable experience. Had our anniversary dinner here, 6 course tasting menu, and left with a smile (and strangely for this kind of experience, sated as well). The service was incredibly professional and gentle, they took seriously the request I made in the reservation form online. Location is stunning and food is tasty. You will not regret a dinner here.

Great food and refreshingly different from the typical schnitzels, goulash, and tafelspitz. That lunch menu was amazing!

Wonderful upscale dining experience. The restaurant itself is in a historic building and tastefully decorated, with indoor and outdoor seating. Owners are onsite and engaged in sharing their product. Food is exceptional and staff are attentive and efficient. Strongly recommend.

Service was very prompt and professional. The lobster dish and it's sauce was quite delicious. Beautiful dining room. Would visit again

Visited this place several weeks ago. Beautiful room. Impeccable service. Great wine list. Really sorry to report that I ended up with food poisoning 😬 (But my daughter didn’t) (She had fish. I had rabbit…)

We were advised to come here by our hotel. We didn’t know what to expect from a restaurant located in a theatre but we were in for a surprise! Amazing food, great service. Highly recommend. We just came by with no reservation but probably best to book ahead.

The lobster with cabbage is a must! Should’ve gone for that dish as my mains. Ceviche was Ok. Escargot was ok. Lamb was very good. Service was excellent but difficult since we were outside. Good to try once!

My husband and I had dinner here on our first night in Vienna. We were greeted courteously by the manager, who led us to the table. The hall was lavishly decorated. The food was savoury and well-prepared. The service was impeccable. Staff were kind and gave clear descriptions of each dish served.

I visited this restaurant with a group of 11 tonight, expecting a delightful evening based on the promising online menu and the selections posted outside. Unfortunately, our experience took a turn for the worse. Upon seating, and after ordering drinks, the owner informed us that, due to our group size, they could only offer a limited menu. We were restricted to two or three starters and entrees, a stark contrast to the extensive options advertised online. This unexpected limitation left us disheartened and questioning our decision to dine here. To make matters worse, the owner's demeanor was extremely rude. Instead of addressing our concerns with empathy, he dismissed us with an air of condescension. This lack of professionalism significantly detracted from what should have been an enjoyable evening. Adding insult to injury, the final bill was exorbitant. We were charged an unreasonable amount for water, bread, and a basic salad (and 5 euros for one couple to share a starter), leaving us with a bill with tip of €500 for a group of eleven. Overcharging for such basic items only served to further sour our experience. I cannot recommend this restaurant to others. The limited menu for large groups, coupled with the rude behavior of the owner and inflated prices, made this dining experience far from enjoyable. Save yourself the disappointment and consider other options in the area.

The food was pretty good, but not exceptional. The service was mostly friendly, but also not very 21st century. When I asked for the bill, it was given to my boyfriend, and even after I gave my card in order to pay, the waiter asked my boyfriend to enter the PIN code.

Had an 8 course menu with wine package that was over 400 euros for two persons. It took us 4 hours which for me was too long. Restaurant got filled with larger tables during our dinner which slowed our service down quite a bit. Food was ok, but a bit dull. This experience as a whole reminded me of why some restaurants have michelin stars and some dont. Maybe we had too high expectations... Restaurant it self is beautiful and food is good but a bit pricey for what it delivers.

The setting is impressive, marble columns and decorations expected for the 250 year old National Theater of Austria building. But I feel the restaurant tried, but the food and service couldn't match the decor. The servers were polite and mostly attentive, which was concerning, as there were less than 25% occupancy. I added a small plate of the signature dish, lobster with creamy cabbage, to my prixe-fixe menu. The menu claims this dish has given the chef accolades for two decades, but with almost overcooked claw meat, I could not discern everyone else's facination. The veal cheeks with sunflower seed dumpling was not bad, nor was the Germknödel dessert. But the tiny Viennese catfish fillet was overpowered by the paprika and chilli. The chef was present, and spoke to guests at a couple of other tables, but never made it to mine. Maybe next time I'll get to speak with the chef. 2022 09 15. M0.

So disappointed ! We come with my pregnant wife and family and we order 3 tasting 9 dishes menu and wines pairing we wait 35 min for the first plate they serve the wine at the beginning. And we ask if the chef can do something for my pregnant wife and they bring snails ! After 1 hour waiting ! We ask the check and they ask us to paid the full menu it’s a shame !!! Never saw that in a restaurant, very disappointed because the review was good but it’s not a good experience waiting so long for food in a gastronomic restaurant and to to so many mistake and ask to pay the full price ! It’s not correct specially for this type of restaurant it’s not a Michelin service at all

Excellent chef restaurant, we chose a tasting menu of 6 dishes. Excellent. Add to that two more small tastings at the opening and dessert. Perfect service.

walk in before a theater night they had a table for myself, quick advise by chef de cuisine himself, very informative, very friendly, they were also double checking wether I'm a theater visitor. had two fish dishes, pike and pikeperch, both good, kind of mild, main dish pikeperch came with sweet potato and peanuts puree, I'm not sure why that combination, good, but not extraordinary. service very friendly, seating is sometimes close together.

Took the 6 course tasting Menü. Dishes were below average, nothing surprised us. Service was ok. Wine pairing was overpriced. Overall value for money very low. Definitely not coming again and do not recommend the place.

Good to experience the place. The service is almost perfect. The dishes are interesting and mostly tasty. The atmosphere fits the service and the food. The signature dish- lobster with cabbage is recommended.

Beautiful interior and general ambience is on par with the quality of the food. Well trained staff and a skilful kitchen create a wonderful experience for its guests under a watchful eye of the owner. Easily can recommend to family and friends.

Had a business dinner here, do not go, waiters drunk, food substandard, does not deserve the Michelin noticeable mention.
