Taste is good, cake was not perfect (the cake lookedba bit more leavened on one side - see picture) but service was quite disappointing for the price. I ordered 2 cakes for takeaway, pretty standard cakes sized 18 and 20cm (25€ and 45€ respectively). Delivery is not an option, so I had to pick up the cakes myself. Problem is that they don't have bags for takeaway (they have just some boxes only for smallest cakes). I would have appreciated if warning to bring your own bag was sent in advance, especially when the order is for multiple cakes. The only solution they offered is that I go to Billa (10 mins walk away) and buy myself a bag 🙄 Unfortunately Billa does not have bags of the right size, but luckily managed to force the biggest cake box into the biggest possible bag I could buy (after Cake Tree staff proposed forcing the biggest cake into a small takeaway box, which would have certainly ruined one cake). Finally, when I asked if I could get one stamp in the fidelity card, they said that it is reserved for single slices only. Frankly, I had a bit higher expectations for one of the highest rated bakeries in town 😔

This small but incredible bakery is a must visit location all year around, offering incredible cakes and sweet treats, but also fresh coffee to both drink in and take away. We do our yearly pilgrimage here to collect freshly baked mince pies (the best in vienna). Incredible people, making fantastic things

I have ordered the Velvet Cake via phone. The order taking person who I talked was very nice. I arrived there and the Cake was ready for the time we agreed. It was in a box, packed, nicely. Thats why I rated this place with 3*, not with 1*. The cake itself was not nice. 28€ for the 8 piece of Velvet cake is quiet high. First, I tought that it's a nice price, but when I saw the cake size, I get quiet dissapointed. It was to small, and there were no details. Looks like the cake was not finished. It was just a flat sponge cake with some cream in between and on top. There was no decoration or anything what would make it special.

It was by far the best scon I’ve ever had. Loved the lemon curd. The carrot cake was good. Drinks were really good, the hot chocolate in particular was delicious. The owners are very kind and they really take care about higiene. You can see them prepare your food and they wash their hands and every time they are not cooking, they are cleaning. The toilet has a baby changing table and kids can wash their hands. They have tables inside and a small terrace in the street. Loved the place.

Ordered a customized cake for 30th birthday and everyone enjoyed it a lot. It was very nice to be able to order through WhatsApp - you'll find there all the options to make your own customized cake - and the service was very fast (ordered 4 days in advance)! The only thing is that cakes are undoubtedly pricey, especially if you want to add fruits on top or inside (ours was 109 euro for 10-12 servings), but perhaps that's in average price for Vienna, and delivery is not offered (you need to organize yourself for pickup). Overall the experience was good and the cake was very pretty and tasty :)

The Cake Tree provided some 160 portions of assorted baked goods for a school event. The baked goods were not only delicious but each individual portion was piped separately, giving it an extra touch. Moreover we were provided with vegan and gluten free options as well, which was very much appreciated. Finally, the Cake Tree also lent us various trays to present the cakes at the event. So useful. I was referred there by a coworker and friend Eoin. I’m glad I went! After a long day of work it’s the perfect place for me to unwind. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming. The decor is modern but doesn’t desperately scream “Look at this stuff we only have in our shop to convince our guests to please post us on IG”. You know what I mean? I know you do. I’m pretty sure I but my lip eating their cheesecake too quickly. The slice was more deep dish style and not paper thin like a lot of cheesecakes I’ve had. The gentleman at the counter was friendly and helpful. I’ll be back…several times.

Lovely bunch running this friendly little spot, I had a very tasty coffee and a sublime slice of salted chocolate fudge cake, fresh as could be and perfectly prepared. Noticed the Barry's tea on the menu, then spotted the GAA teapot behind the counter before realising our charming host was from the oul country. Its always nice to get an authentic Irish-inspired treat and the place is only a few minutes from the U1 Vorgartenstraße stop, about 5 minutes on the ubahn north from St Stephens. If you're planning to go to Prater for the Ferris wheel and amusements then definitely stop in, it's only a few minutes walk north from there. Will certainly pop in every time we go through Vienna.

A Sensational Birthday Cake. I’ve come across this shop via recommendation from a friend who swore by their Birthday Cakes. They have an instagram page ( @thecaketreewien ) which is super helpful to see the different themes and techniques they use in their decorations. I was a bit worried because i do not speak proper german so i wasn’t sure i could get my ideas across very well, and i also felt i‘m ordering the cake a little last minute. The ordering process was amazingly simple, i made the order in English through a phone call, and they also correspond via WhatsApp, which i highly appreciated. The lady took her time to answer to all my inquiries, and gave me options of flavours and cake shapes to choose from. On the Birthday day, the cake was ready on time for pick up, they accept both cash and credit card. EVERYONE in the party was impressed by the Cake, not only did it look beautiful, it tasted AMAZING. I ordered the Guinness cake for a work event. It was super last minute but they still made the cake and it was AMAZING. I don't usually like sponge cakes or chocolate cakes but this really was amazing. And they were so nice! 100% recommend this place to everyone!

Everything about this place is amazing. Food, hospitality, atmosphere and music. We had the eggs, made to perfection. The pancakes were just as good but the French toast was perfect, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The hot chocolate was tasty reminding us of Belgium. The Lemon cake was light and refreshing and the fudge cake was rich and dark. Such a cozy atmosphere with genuine welcoming hospitality, with one of the best music Playlist one could ask for.
