Apart from some confusion in the order and billing it was a nice visit. After some disappointments in other places the food here was excellent. And the dark beer was in a class of its own. The turkey salad was made with care in the preparation, especially the meat. It was a great combination of flavours suitable for the modern contemporary kitchen. Just one setback.... the orange juice was a factory brand tasting like factory. Dear Ribs.... start pressing the oranges yourself. Then it will be closer to perfect

Best ribs ever! Couldn't give less than 5 stars. The 3 ribs combo is a great option the explore different tastes. We loved the ginger ones and all the sides! Don't miss this place when in Vienna and make sure you call for a reservation beforehand.

Those are definitely my favourite ribs ever! I go there every time I visit Vienna. We usually order the option with 3 different types of ribs. I highly recommend Tokyo, Provence, Dijon, India and Garlic. The rib portions come with a coleslaw salad and potatoes, so it’s more than enough for one person. There is a good choice of draft beers which is also cool. The atmosphere could be very good, as the restaurant is situated in a big old time underground space, but the ventilation is not so good. It also has a strong smell of beer sometimes.

There is absolutely nothing to complain about, the food comes in huge portions for pretty reasonable prices, and it's ready surpisingly quickly compared to how full it is all the time; not to mention its strong and warm atmosphere. This place is a must-visit if you are in Vienna. If you do come, I strongly recommend the Ribs and Spareribs. I am definitely coming again

Everything about my experience was great, especially since I came in around 10 PM. My baby back ribs were cooked to perfection, almost falling off the bone. I got three types of ribs, and they all had nice but not overpowering flavors. The trio came with roasted potatoes that were done perfectly, and a nice pile of coleslaw. I interacted with five staff in the course of the evening and all of them were delightful and spoke perfect English. The building is a very cool old cellar, over 300 years old. This place is professionally run with excellent food.

Very good place for having dinner date with your love one. The food has a very affordable price and professional service and the food is exceptional delicious. The only minus thing is you have to book a table in advance. Me and my girl friend had been waiting for over 1 month until the ealiest reservation. But it’s definitely worth it

I thought I was talking into a tourist trap when seeing a bunch of Asians (like a tour) eating there, but the food proved that I was wrong. The rib is simply amazingly delicious! Please book before you come, I saw quite a lot of people waiting outside when I finished my meal at 3.

Had the original ribs and fried mushroom. Highly recommended to book in advance as it gets packed so quickly. Seems like ribs are cooked fresh as ordered as it took some time. Original ribs were very delicious and generous portion - so glad we decided to come here. Fried mushrooms were as good as the ribs!! Beer with lemon juice was refreshing too. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. They didn't enforce tips aggressively unlike other reviewers mentioned, which made us tip them generously. Can get quite noisy so I recommend booking when it opens at 5pm.

The place is famous for its ribs. It feels more touristic place than a local restaurant, however the ribs are really good. The stuff is friendly, all of them speaks very good english. We received a comprehensive explanation about ribs selection. There also other dishes for those sho do not want the ribs. Desserts are also nice. One need to keep in mind that reservation is required, it can be easily done online. Without reservation it will be hard to get a place, especially at the evening.

The flavours of the ribs here are amazing! I especially loved the garlic one. Only complain is that the ribs were unfortunately not off the bone tender. We ordered a sharing set for 2 but it was more than enough for 3! The service is great too, really friendly and helpful waiters. Do make a reservation before going! We went without a reservation on a weekday and was so grateful to be able to get a seat. This wasn’t the same case as my friend who tried to walk in on a weekend and didn’t manage to get a seat at all.

A great place for a great dinner! We came here for the famous vienna ribs, which were just great. The dish is really large and delicious and justifies its popularity. We also had the schnitzel (which was good) and a few other ribs, but would highly recommend to go with the Vienna ribs, the ribs are so good it doesn't need too much sauce and seasoning in my opinion.

The ribs here are just fantastic, with so many varieties of flavours so it doesn't feel like a one trick pony. The standard portion is big, so come empty and be prepared to eat. Try and book in advance, they were super busy, but it's easy to see why they are so popular. The atmosphere is really unique and the staff are great too.

I came to the Ribs of Vienna with a goal od eating the potentially tastiest ribs in my life and it definitely lived up to my expectations. I ordered a mix of the classic Ribs of Vienna, along with the Flamenco and Ginger ones, from which the last ones were in my opinion the best. The service was perfect, very friendly and hospitable and even though I did not have a reservation, a table for me was found right away. The atmosphere and mood of the restaurant only adds up to the great taste of the ribs. All in all, if you are looking for a place in Vienna to eat delicious ribs and have a very pleasant experience, Ribs of Vienna is the place for you.

Great food. Make a reservation. We shared the regular order of spareribs as the portion is huge. Green beans with bacon, chicken wings and wedges were delicious. Its seems quite as you go down a few floors. The atmosphere picks up immediately as you enter the basement floor.

What a famous Libs of Vienna! Make sure to make a reservation if it's the weekend! I visited the walk-in, but I couldn't standby(Maybe because it's weekend + Christmas season.) staff was very kind and friendly to us. The ribs are very juicy, but overall the taste is just normal and nothing really amazing. It’s a bit peppery for me, as I can taste a lot of black pepper on top of the ribs. On the plus sides, the portion is massive, 2 large racks of rib for one serving and the waiter is very polite. Please note if you would like to dine in, it’s better to make a reservation in advance, apparently there are 2 seating areas, one with proper air conditioning one without, and without reservations you’ll be seating in the room without proper air conditioning, and could be a little too hot! The waiter explained that’s because the design of the room doesn’t allow the big air conditioner to be installed, which is acceptable.

Rhe price is reasonable and atmosphere is very fun, so my family could enjoy the food and mood. But the house wine was not good ~!!

I came here for a second time and now I think I will never recommend any one come here. If you are late even for 5min and unfortunately you have a line ahead of you, you finally arrive at the reception desk and even if it is 12min late. You will be told you are too late with an unhappy tone. Therefore, it would be good to spare the restaurant effort of serving too many clients, starting from me. I have had ribs in other similar restaurant but I have also heard about ribs of Vienna lots of time. It is located in the centre. Waiters are busy and friendly. The price is reasonable and they provide different favours. The classic ribs of Vienna are good but I recommend ginger ribs which are sweeter and delicious with fried potatoes sided. Definitely a must try for someone craving for yummy ribs. But be careful, you really have to be patient, it will take you at least half an hour until you have your first bite.

The staffs are friendly, there was no racism like other comments or they definitely changed those people. Even the staffs speak English to each other. The food was served quickly, the portion of the ribs was so big. There were a lot of interesting choices for the ribs. The room where we sat was a little bit hot during summer without AC or fan and quite dark.

An odd restaurant that is located one/two floors under the ground in some tunnel-like space. Although it's a little dark and narrow, the atmosphere is informal, a little pub-like and great for having delicious ribs with friends. The choice of ribs is spectacular and even too hard - there are nearly 20 options of sides, sauces and ways your pork ribs can be prepared. We ordered 3 x portion for 2 people for a company of 7 hungry meat-lovers and we hardly finished them. Price-wise it's definitely not cheap, expect ~25-30€/person, but the plates for sharing are generous enough. Always book in advance, especially for Fri/Sat/Sun.

Wonderful in every way! The food is amazing, the service is kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere is perfect. My wife and I ordered the gourmet ribs (very large and meaty portion that comes with french fries, a small salad and dips) for each of us, an Edelweiss Weizen (0.5l) for each of us and a Coke for each of us. All for a laughable price of 67 Euros, which, on top of an extremely happy stomach, made us want to give a very generous tip to a very deserving staff! Definitely recommended for many, many reasons. We will be back for more. Thank you!!!

One of the best bbq ribs I’ve ever had! It’s worth to wait for queuing up and the food. Recommend to book in advance. I didn’t book in advance. I went there for dinner and I was there at 17.00 and there’re 10 groups before us. I got table 30 minutes later, waited around 45 minutes for the food. If you can’t book in advance, I recommend you to go there 30 minutes earlier. The restaurant is on the basement. Order 3 ribs of Vienna for 4 people and couldn’t finish it.

I think this is a restaurant that anyone visiting Vienna should visit at least once. Every time I have the opportunity to visit Vienna, I always go to this place. With just the first try, the dish here conquered me with its rich sauce. I also always recommend it to my friends every time they say they are going to visit Vienna. The food here can be said to be extremely suitable for my taste. The ribs are marinated and grilled just right. There are some rib marinades that are always in my top favorites and must be chosen every time I come to the restaurant, which are traditional flavors (marinated according to the restaurant's own style), garlic flavor and Hawaiian flavor (this one also according to your opinion). However, the restaurant space will be quite small and located in the basement, so it is important to reserve a table in advance. It is the best to book a table at least 1 or 2 days before in advance to be sure because the restaurant will always be full if you book too close to the time or worse, there are no more seats. Besides, considering ordering is also a thing to consider because the portion here is also very big. 1 serving can eat from 2 to 3 people depending on the eating capacity. However, the prices of the dishes are also very reasonable and also the drink is really tasty. And also the waiting time for the ribs takes a little bit long, so if it could, please order it as soon as possible. If you have chance to visit Vienna, I think, this is one of the muss try restaurants. ❤️❤️

The place is amazing. We go down, underground and enter historical halls. There are dining tables with charming lighting and music that fits the atmosphere. I came to the restaurant with my older son who was celebrating his birthday. The restaurant was full with reservations two weeks ahead and even though I forgot to make a reservation, the lovely manager who greeted us Konrad made efforts and after the wait we got a table and the wait was not in vain. Alex the charming waiter served us with a smile and explained to us about the different dishes. I recommend eating their flagship dish which is the ribs in different flavors. It was so delicious. It was an experience that will not be forgotten and especially my son had a great time and the restaurant made him a surprise and brought him a cake with distillation in honor of his birthday. The prices are reasonable and the food was above expectations. highly recommend. Attached are pictures of the food we ate. At first we ate soup: goulash and mushrooms. After that we ate Viennese schnitzel and ribs in different flavors. Everything was delicious.. Thanks to Konrad and Alex for the lovely experience.

It is almost mandatory to make reservation to dine here as many tourists are coming here for the ribs. Once thru the reservation and managed to be seated, the ribs are amazing! Ribs of Vienna comes in very generous serving with fast service too! The ribs are meaty and is THE place for those meat lovers. Highly recommend.

Delicious food, good service. The reservation is a little bit tricky, be aware that you are two floors underground so there is not much oxygen when it's crowded. The portion is really big, we were not so hungry so one portion was enough for two of us.

Delicious ribs, enjoyed so many flavors and the Chardonnay was very nice too. The service is a bit slow, but the food is cooked very well (not rushed) and worth the wait. The sides were great too especially the potatoes and coleslaw. Our favorite flavor for the ribs was classic Vienna with Bacon being our second favorite. I was surprised the Hawaiian had a cinnamon taste, I do not recommend that flavor especially since I'm allergic it was not expected or appreciated but we would still like to come back here. I see why it's always so popular and you need reservations many days in advance.

Food was okay. Service was okay. Located in the basement floor which gave quite historical feeling. There are many flavors of ribs to choose from. The wait was too long, we waited more than an hour for food to arrive. Fries were okay. I personally think the food was not worth the wait.

Our favourite restaurant in Vienna. The ribs are super delicious. Not like the easy off the bone American BBQ ribs, but I prefer the slightly more chewy textures more. The flavouring is spot on. We had the classic Vienna for two people the first day and came back for mixed the next day. The classic Vienna was our favourite but the other flavours we tried were all pretty good (I.e garlic, ginger). Generous portions: one regular order comes with 3 half racks (€20-22) and ribs for two comes with 5 half racks (€34-36). Shocking good value for what you get. Lots of travel groups visiting and seemed very popular in Asian visitors. Make sure to make reservations in advance or the wait time could be very long.

I had the original ribs. I think this was not a hype but this restaurant really serves good quality and delicious ribs. The price suits the food and was not expensive at all. I was happy I had a chance dining there.

The portion was huge, if you are not too hungry, the spareribs for 2 persons would be way too much for 2 persons! We tried 5 flavours, the original rib of Vienna is personally our favourite! Service was exceptional, very helpful and friendly staff. Lemon juice beer was okay, more like lemon juice, I would prefer normal beer.

It can be just a coincidence but we have read about the place in so many different places and seen so many recommendations as "must visit" that when we arrived we could not understand what all this was about. The spareribs are good and tasteful and a plate is more then enough for 1 person. We combined it with a good and tasteful Caesar salad. The waiters are very friendly and helpful, speak both German and English and ask frequently if everything is ok.

You don’t really expect sth amazing in the beginning as you have to enter a basement in a very tourist area, but fear not! once you are in, you’ll be welcomed by very kind waiters and juicy ribs at quite cheap price! I recommend the ginger ribs or 3 sorts of ribs at your choice with dark draft beer!

Well seasoned and juicy ribs. I love that the ribs are cooked just to the perfect tenderness. I dislike the Texas style BBQ because it’s too soft, and this is totally not the case here. I got the 3-flavor combination: the house special seasoning is unique and tasty, the Diablo is fire and so adds such a good kick, and the sweet garlic is just delightful.

It's a restaurant where everyone is kind. I ordered Lips of Vienna, known as a bestseller, and steak. The food was great. I drank dark beer on the recommendation of the staff, and it's very delicious. The restaurant's care for customers is clearly felt in the restroom. The fragrant hand wash and thick and soft tissue made me happy even in the restroom. It was a better tissue than the 5-star hotel I stayed in Vienna.

Here you will have to choose from many types of ribs! Nice people with happy faces. A lot of Russian people. If you like this kind of food it is a must!

Interesting thing was the restaurant was packed with east asians, cz its very well known place from korean community hahaha dont hesitate to come here!

The service was good, they were closing the kitchen and they accommodated to us. They did rush us a bit to order but that was understandable but didn’t feel rushed when the meal arrived. The food looked and smelled amazing, the ribs were flavoured wonderfully one of the best places for flavour however, the ribs were slightly chewy and the meat didn’t fall of the bone as it should. As ribs lovers we were left disappointed by this.

Stumbled on this place by luck. Managed to make a reservation (highly recommended) for the same night. Food was Amazing! The ribs were full of flavor and a large portion (enough for 2) although admittedly the pepper steak was absolutely incredible. Perfectly cooked with phenomenal flavors and great execution.
