I hate to write a negative review, but my dining experience at this restaurant unfortunately fell far short of acceptable standards. The primary offender was a mushroom risotto, served cold, overcooked, and utterly devoid of flavor. There's something innately unsatisfying about a dish arriving not merely lukewarm, but outright cold; an issue further compounded by the overcooked, mushy texture of the rice. The risotto’s lack of savory depth, an essential component, was equally disheartening. Moreover, the service left much to be desired. We waited a painfully long 45 minutes for our meals to arrive. Yet, when the waitstaff inquired about our experience midway through the meal, I opted not to voice my disappointment, primarily to avoid prolonging our already extensive wait. However, upon airing my grievances at the end of our meal, the reaction was indifference. There was no offer of a refund or a sincere apology for the subpar dish. Customer service should be about making the guest feel valued and heard; unfortunately, the apathetic response served was just as cold as my risotto. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Poor experience overall, our waiters were rude and forgot about us, the host of the restaurant was clearly upset about it. The gluten free bread is bad, and we got the simple pleasure sweet breakfast and they did not give us the described croissant. It was supposed to be pistachio with pomegranate but it was just plain. This would’ve been fine if we were told anything but we were not. Also the acai bowl was very warm and super bananany

Fantastic breakfast. Took the smashed avocado + poached eggs and it was perfect. The Shakshuka is delicious too. They have the best decaf coffee I ever had and healthy gluten-free bread that is a treat.

The location is great and the ambiance with patio seating are great parts of this place. I ordered the fries and falafel dish. The falafel was crispy and good taste but it seemed old and stale. The fries were exactly the same. The service was fantastic.

I had a wonderful lunch here. The place is vibrant, full of energy and nice people. I had one of their energising smoothies and I felt refreshed pretty quickly. It was around 36° outside but the place has a lot of natural and artificial shade, so everything was fine. The service was fast and reliable, and the employee that took my order was quick with a recommendation: parsnip cream soup and creamy risotto. I had to ask them what they would recommend since I have a few dietary restrictions, the most important being that I can't have any gluten and wheat, and that I'm a vegetarian. Both of the dishes suited my needs and they were really tasty and creamy😋. The parsnip cream soup was sweet and savory, and even though both the soup and the outside weather were hot, the parsnip soup disappeared from the plate really quickly 😅. The risotto came and went by really fast as well. It had a nice saffron flavour and color and was full of vegetables and condiments. I also had a long black coffee which had a good intense aroma. One special note: if you're looking for breakfast after 12 during weekdays, be sure to check out their "brother"-restaurant: Erich. Overall everything was more than great👍. They have outside and inside seating and they accept cash and cards. Their staff speaks English and they're really professional and friendly, as well.

An amazing gastronomic experience. Pick any option that contains eggs, bacon or salmon and you won't be disappointed. The queue might set you off initially since the place is immensely popular, but don't get disappointed too quickly - staff manages the place very well. You should get a spot with 5-10 minutes if the queue is moderate.

We stumbled upon one of the finest breakfast spots in Vienna. The service here is exceptional - meticulous and fast, which is quite rare. Despite it being a Saturday morning, we were fortunate enough to secure a spot in the garden as there was no room inside :) Now, let's talk about the food. My girlfriend ordered The Big Easy while I opted for Tabula Rasa. Both dishes were absolutely delicious, and the portion sizes and quality of ingredients used were truly commendable. I must give credit to the chef who crafted such a delightful breakfast menu. We paid 35€ for the two of us, including drinks, which is quite reasonable considering the excellent service and taste. I'm eager to return and try the Turkish Egg next time, hopefully snagging a spot indoors this time. :)

While in Vienna we ate here two time, one for breakfast and one for dinner and both times the food was absolutely delicious. I totally recommend the wild boar schnitzel and the pumpkin pie is the best I have ever had. Stuff is super friendly and the food comes really fast.

Very popular brunch place with a great menu. To be honest, I had higher expectations and was really disappointed by the food and drink, therefore only 2 stars. Food and Drink ☕🥑 I had to pay 40c extra for the oat milk (which always strikes me if that happens) and in the end the cappuccino was disappointing. The aesthetics of the avocado smash with the pink hummus were amazing, looked very inviting and delicious. Bread and hummus were actually very good. But two major critic points: a) sadly, the avocado didn't have a good taste at all and b) the poached eggs were put on the plain bread so that the bread was soaked in water, very unpleasant. The eggs also weren't warm and as the food arrived quickly (which is usually a good thing), I assume they have been sitting there ready for a while. As said, I think the food looks great, maybe I just wasn't lucky. Service and Atmosphere ✨ Nice staff and a great location in the beautiful 7th district. Very pleasant for a brunch in Vienna. I'd make a reservation though, usually it's very busy. Price 💰 Portion size is ok, the plain avocado mash itself is fairly priced, it gets more expensive if you add stuff to it (eggs, feta, etc.). Other than that I would say the dishes look good in terms of portion size for the price you pay. High expectations, underdelivered.. unfortunately. For me, there are better brunch places in Vienna, but I might give it another try.

Went here on Valentine's day since it was the only restaurant nearby we were able to find a spot in. Everyone else is making a huge mistake glossing over this place! The food, the vibes, the whole experience was absolutely amazing! There was a special fun valentine's day menu and every single course did not miss a beat. Especially the dessert! Wow it was amazing! We're so happy we stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant!

Attentive service staff. We waited less than 10 minutes for the order. Wild boar schnitzel with sauce and a lemon wedge and a garnish of specially mixed with onions and balsamico potatoes left a rich taste. Cozy atmosphere in the ground floor.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food! To start my husband ordered a beer, I had the basil smash (incredible) and we both had two spicy margarita shots. The shots just tasted like a spicy margarita and would be delicious over ice as a cocktail but still pretty good as a shot. For starters we had the shrimp with Thai noodle salad and the wild boar dim sum - shrimp was our fave. For mains we shared the chorizo flatbread, panko chicken and a small ulrich salad. Salad was simple but a delicious side with the chicken. The flatbread was pretty tasty. But the star of the meal was definitely the panko chicken. It was in a red curry sauce with veggies and chilles and a side of jasmine rice. It was SO GOOD. Highly recommend!!

Very nice café restaurant bar to have breakfast in Vienna. They offer a wide variety of options from sweet to salt. The quality of the food served is really high. The service was very friendly and they work really fast. We ordered avocadomash toast with feta, two granola youghourts and one fruit juice called “Morning Glory” with orange, carrot, apple and ginger that was amazing. A big recommendation of you come to Vienna.

Great discovery for us in Vienna. Had a breakfast here that was simply amazing. Their sourdough bread is really good, as is their orange juice. Service was also really good, very friendly waitress. Also loved the atmosphere here.

We had a lovely experience here. We had brunch in the outdoor area. Staff were great, friendly, and very attentive! We had the shakshouka and the omelette.. the shakshouka was very good and flavourful.. the omelette was a safe option. The coffee was good! I would recommend this place for sure :)

The place to be for brunch/ breakfast, which they serve until noon. The staff is very nice and polite. It’s essentially the same as ELRICH right next door.

Amazing restaurant in Vienna! We had the Wild Boar Schnitzel and also a cocktail. The Wild boar Schnitzel was probably the best schnitzel I tried in Vienna. Incredibly delicious and so tender! I loved combining the meat with the cranberry sauce! The plate came with a salad, which was so delicious and full of flavor. I'm generally not a fan of drinks. But their cocktail was great and I would definitely recommend getting one. I didn't have any issues regarding the service. There's a cozy atmosphere inside the restaurant as well, which is something I definitely appreciate. I strongly recommend this restaurant during your visit in Vienna.

Ulrich was a great breakfast experience in Vienna, so much so that after our first visit, we decided to return the very next day. The service was polite and professional, while also very warm and welcoming, even during rush hour. The interior is also quite pleasant and hip. The food was very good, filling as well as tasty, I especially recommend the breakfast sandwich and the Turkish eggs. The sandwich was quite big, with a nice balance of ingredients and flavours. The eggs were also delicious, although the portion size is on the smaller size compared to the sandwich. We also tried the Big easy which is a relatively standard, albeit a tasty omelette, and the shakshuka which was also nice, although the eggs were slightly overcooked. All in all, a recommended breakfast experience in Vienna.

Yesterday (1.05.2022) visited with my friend this place. We were here before 2 times and the previous experience was quite good, but at this time something happened. We waited our food about 35 min!!! And finally when we got it right in burger was founded the piece of plastic bag..sorry, but we cannot leave a positive feedback.

Very nice place for breakfast! I would recommend to book a table in advance, as the place quickly gets packed. But otherwise the service was great, food was delicious and the portions were big.

Nice restaurant with a good diverse menu. All their dishes are really tasty and rich with flavor, especially the Shakshouka. Prices are medium range. Staff are very friendly and you don’t wait long. Place is busy. Recommended.

The food was quite good, but the place was too crowded and the space between the tables were too small. I felt a little bit overwhelmed because of that. About the food, we really liked the breakfast sandwich. It was quite healthy and nutritious. The coffee was average.

Looks like one of the popular places by young people. I had to make a reservation pretty in advance for a Sunday brunch. Given that, I didn't wait too much for a table... anyhow, the staff were pretty good in sorting out a table for newcomers! The service was quite fast & smooth, without a need to call the personnel several times to get your order or bring your bill.

The breakfast itself was amazing! Vegan one is highly recommended ❤️ The coffee is wonderful. Nice and friendly service. Don’t take an orange almond cake (just full of sugar; was too sweet although asked a waiter for something with little sugar )

Never tired of ULRICH’s breakfasts, whether sweet or savoury. Make sure you don’t leave without an apple & ginger shot. Staff is ever friendly and the location, tucked away in a church’s little square, makes you feel you might be not in the bustling heart of Wien.

Great breakfast here. These guys know how to make a chai tea as well as coffees. Breakfast of avo toast with eggs Benny was tasty. It's a deconstructed avo toast. The shakshuka breakfast was fantastic. Not a fancy place but comfortable with great staff.

A very nice place to have a brunch. Very popular and crowded. The service was not as expected but the food was really nice. There was a good range of meal choices in relatively good prices. Nicely decorated and clean. Reservation definatelly needed.

Tasty, elaborated and filling breakfast to fill belly and soul before a day of visiting beautiful Vienna. One can arguably start the day better than with one of their croissants. Seriously.

  • 3/5 Aynur A. 4 months ago on Google
we ordered shakshuka, big easy and smashed avocado. They forget to add smoked salmon although we said, and we waited long to get only the bread. We also ordered bread and it took 15 mins only to have the breads. I disappointed, because they charged us 2x smoked salmon, although we only ordered one. After raising they paid back. So be careful about everything that you ordered and check bill first before you pay. People were nice and they understand our concerns and tried to solve.

Friendly staff. Cosy interior. Big variety of food for breakfast/brunch, everything tasted wonderful. Would happily come back. On weekends try to be there as early as possible or make a reservation in advance, or you might need to wait a while for a free table.

Great place for brunch or lunch. The coffee is good and there is nothing in particular you can point out in the menu because their is such a variety of good choices. The lunch menus are also nice. You can choose between a 2 or 3 course meal for around 14 euros. Would recommend.

Me and my friend had a brunch at Ulrich. We made a reservation one day before and when we came the place was almost full so I recommend getting a table reservation. The food was really tasty. Some brunches can be made gluten-free, they have gluten-free bread and they also offer vegan breakfast. The waitress was really nice and friendly. I recommend going here.

We looked around for a brunch spot in Vienna, and somehow stumbled upon this place from the google reviews! I can honestly say I was pleasantly suprised. The shakshuka breakfast omelette was absolutely delicious when pared with the avocado toast with smoked salmon. We also tried the tabula rasa which was an excellent breakfast as well. Some of the other reviews mentioned issues with servers and the service in general, thankfully we did not have this issue. If you are looking for a cool place to have breakfast or brunch, its definitely worth checking out.

  • 5/5 Ravid E. 1 year ago on Google
Classic place for breakfast/brunch. Good variety of dishes, lots of healthy options, also for vegans. Quite popular place, better reserve in advance. Great place for in the 7th district of Vienna. Can really recommend.

It's a solid choice for brunch. No more and no less, I think. The food was okay, the prices were okay, the ambiance was okay. I just missed the "oomph" or the "wow". Since it may have just been my choice of dish, I'll probably try it again sometime. For what it's worth, the service was the most outstanding part of the experience.

This is a very nice restaurant and it shows by the amount of people around lunchtime (it might be worth it to reserve a table in advance if you are more than 2 people). The menu is pretty comprehensive, from typical brunch items to burgers, beers and cocktails. Pay attention because the brunch is only served until 11h45, contrary to its counterpart, Erich, where you can have breakfast tacos until 4 pm (also worth a visit, it is on the same block).

Lovely place for breakfast and brunch - for the summer they have terrace. Friendly atmosphere and cozy design. Friendly staff , especially girl at the bar - friendly and amazing customer care. The food was great - scramble eggs on the toast with mashed avocado and Halumni cheese. Bravo. Will suggest this place. Just make sure you will book the table as they are always busy in the morningss
