AWESOME Austrian restaurant in Vienna! (⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎)❤️🤍🧡 The location is great, close to Imperial Treasury Vienna and a lot of museums and attractions! The staffs are very nice and the vibe inside and outside the restaurant are both chill and cozy! 🥰 Their menu has both Germany version and English version (very considerate of them) ^ - ^ The beef soup, Austrian Pancake Soup and fried pork are all AMAZING! It’s a popular local places here as well!

Hello, It is always a problem to find a decent place to eat when you are a tourist. We were lucky because we went on a walking tour and the local guide advised this place. As we understood, anything with "Beisl" in the name offers a kind of local food very similar to what Viennese would cook at home. Well, we gave it a try and ended up eating there everyday. Quick service, reasonable price for the place in the historic part of Vienna. The main dishes are normal size but be careful with deserts - they are big :) We ordered the deserts and really struggled to finish them after the main meal. Order something from the daily chef recommendations and you would not be disappointed. We spent ~15 euros per person to have a main meal and a tea or half pint of a beer. If you order a main dish, desert, beer and coffee - it will be withing 30 euros. Best regards, Rustam.

The food is excellent, everything well seasoned and with balanced flavors. I went there three times during my stay in Vienna and in all of them the food were great. The highlights are the schnitzel ( and the salad on the side dish) and the boiled beef with horse radish ( tafelspitz). The apple strudel was average, do not recommend. The service is good except for one of the waiters ( the tall one), which is a really rude person (to say the least).

You need to definitely get here early. The queues are huge but it is worth the wait. We was lucky enough to get a table quite quickly with little waiting. Once we left the queues were at least an hour wait. The staff do not rush you either which is surprising as they are super busy. The food was amazing. The beef in broth is a must. Very warming on a cold winter day. The beef was soft and flavoursome.

Walked by this restaurant by chance and the Schnitzel looked so good so i turned around and grabbed a table. The Schnitzel was the best one i ate in my whole trip. The price was fair. The staff were nice and helpful. Got my drink and food very fest. Had a great meal and got satisfied 🙏🏼 absolutely coming back on my next trip!

I was surprised to see this place constantly had a queue, then I ate here and I understood why. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed (despite the liveliness of the place brought by the numerous patrons), the staff is extremely kind and helpful, and the food is just SPECTACULAR. I'll say it again: SPECTACULAR. Rich in taste, truly flavourful and cooked exquisitely. Not a single complaint. If you like things with broth, I highly recommend the Viennese soup with pancakes (the broth is unbelievably good!), and I've been told the gulash is great too! The pricing is also fair, considering the quality and the service being delivered! I want to thank the staff for helping me pick a plate taking my allergies in consideration. I'd love to visit again before leaving Vienna.

Cozy, authentic Austrian Cafe. Very friendly staff. Schnitzel, goulash and beer were amazing! Restrooms very clean and free. They were very busy but we were served efficiently and beer arrived cold, food was hot. They had no problem with splitting the ticket of four in half.

A touristic, friendly and delicious restaurant offering traditional Austrian cuisine. It is located in the center of the touristic area, so there are a lot of people so you have to wait. Although the space is small in the interior with a traditional Austrian atmosphere, you can enjoy a pleasant meal with good people in a noisy atmosphere. The price is not that expensive considering that it is a tourist attraction.

If you have a craving for schnitzel, definitely come to this location! The schnitzel was very tasty and its accompanying salad and fries complemented it well. We also tried the goulash and apfelstrudel, but these had less of a ‘wow factor’ for us. Overall, the service was very prompt, our waitress was very friendly and the atmosphere was lively. Would definitely recommend stopping by!

Great tasting and authentic Austrian food prepared and served by very efficient and friendly staff. This place is Busy and they do a great job of getting people in, and getting food and drinks in front of them in a hurry. All while not making me feel like I needed to hurry up and finish so they could clear me out.

Classic Austrian food was of good quality. There was a long 45-minute wait as they do not accept bookings for dinner service. Really tasty meal for the price. Awesome artwork and decor.

Our last lunch in Austria Vienna Tried the real wiener melange which i didn't find special (but you gotta try it of course in Austria) but the Almdudler (Austrian Ginger ale) is a must try! it's a bit more lighter than the normal Ginger ale...but very tasty! Beef goulash was tasty and big chunks of Beef in it definitely is a satisfying and savoury dish. Home made sausages were not really special but tasty. The Tafelspitz was just like any other Austrian Place it was nice and salty and the beef was boiled so soft that it is almost pulled beef. Portion wise these were okay (they didn't go overboard like most restaurants) so one dish can really fill you up nicely.

We stopped here for lunch after our river cruise excursion. Our guide had pointed out this place. We were not disappointed. Service was quick, and the food and beer were both quite good. It's also quite popular with the locals. I had the Viennese Schnitzel and my wife had the house schnitzel. Both were similar with good portion sizes. Both of us also thought that our side (with cool potatoes in a cream sauce, topped by basil leaves and pumkinseed oil) was excellent. I really enjoyed my dark beer. This certainly added to our enjoyment of Vienna.

Restaurant frequented by locals and tourists alike, so get yourself a reservation or be prepared to wait. People will queue and trust me, it's worth every second. The menu isn't very large, serving only local dishes but cooked to perfection, vegetarian alternatives are also present. Drink selection includes beers, wines and a few spirits. Very quick service, staff is always around to take your order. You're in Wien/Vienna and you wanna try a true wiener schnitzel, come see these folks

Good food, good prices, good service. Came here every single evening during our stay in Vienna. The food is really good and simple. It's like good old comfort food your mom or grandma would make. When I think of Vienna, I'll look back happily as I recall dining here

This was some of the best food I had during my recent stay in Vienna. The location and atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderful, and all of the dishes we got were fantastic. The food was traditional Viennese food (sausages, schnitzel, spätzle), and everything was wonderful. The service was also very fast, although we came on a busy evening. Definitely would recommend for anyone wanting delicious traditional Viennese food at a reasonable price.

Historical place to visit with the tradition in all aspects of… from the cuisine, the waitress, the quality and recipes of the food, with the atmosphere.. best choice if you like to eat authentic Viennese Schnitzel with salad, sausage with mustard or spinach dumplings!

I had a very nice evening at this restaurant in Vienna and was blown away by their delicious Viennese schnitzel and apple strudel. The cozy atmosphere added to the overall dining experience, making it a must-visit spot for anyone looking for authentic and mouthwatering Austrian cuisine. I highly recommend trying these dishes if you're in Vienna! ❤️❤️❤️

Run to the place before the line gets really long. This is a great place for good reason. They have veal schnitzel which I tried but I feel like it can have more flavor but I still finished it. The beef and fried onions were really good. And the fried Vienna sausages are great because they have lots of great sides! The waitress we had was so nice and attentive to each and every guest despite the place being packed. We did seat with another person which we don't mind.

I recently dined at this charming restaurant , and the experience exceeded my expectations. The schnitzel dish was an absolute delight, perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend this establishment for a delightful culinary experience in Vienna.

Food was great - highly recommend the roast beef. Absolutely delicious and much better than the schnitzel we had. Service could be better (not the staff’s fault). The restaurant is so busy and they really need more staff. Atmosphere was nice and cozy

The Schnitzel tatsted good to me but not outstanding. The potato salad is for some reason the highlight of the night. Our beer was not cold and it somehow tastes a bit sour. The staffs are busy but still got us a place for 2, we appreciate that. It was ok anyways

Very traditional looking restaurant. Had some good viennese sausages, really fast service. It was a little overpriced since it was a small portion of food. It is right next to St. Stephen church.

The meat was delicious, their beer is nice. The service was fast and the staff is very friendly! Schnitzel was soft and not dry 💛 I also tasted Kaizer and it was nice as well. Overall, I recommend this place, and would return here once more 🙏🏻 The terrace was full, but the vibe is🔥

First time in Vienna on holiday and wanted to try out some local cuisine. A friend recommended this place explaining how the food was great and good priced. We tried the Beef Goulash with buttered dumplings and safe to say we really enjoyed it! It was delicious. Decent prices especially compared to other places in the area.

Fried Viennese sausages with sauerkraut and potatoes are a solid staple. The potato soup is to die for. Absolutely get it as a starter. The crepe with crepe was a little sour for my taste but apparently it’s cheesecake inspired. Atmosphere is lively inside and location is in city centre off main shopping area.

If I were to compare Beisl restaurant, I would say it feels like dining at a friend's house in Vienna. The bustling atmosphere is managed expertly by the owner who ensures that everyone is well taken care of. They have maximised the use of their space by kindly asking customers if they would be willing to share a table, creating a great opportunity to strike up conversations with other diners. The food was not only delicious but also evoked the comforting feeling of a homemade meal. The staff were incredibly kind and amiable, taking the time to eloquently describe each dish. It's no wonder this place is so popular. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Reinthaler's appears to be very popular with the locals of Vienna and with good reason, appears to be a traditional Viennese eatery with a cosy feeling ... our server was very attentive despite being very busy, the service was quick and food was not only fresh but served quick too. The onion roasted beef was amazing, with the sweetness of the onions soaking through to the meat 😋 I had an apple strudel after which despite looking heavy, was very light and filled with apple and raisin goodness. Would 100% recommend going here if you can get a seat, prices were very reasonable as well for being in the heart of Vienna.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon. It was fully packed inside already, and the line was forming from 5pm. We had Reinthaler schnitzel and Onion roast beef. Schnitzel and salad were perfect, Onion roast beef was also delicious except that it was slightly salty. Fried potatoes that came with it was very delicious. Service is super and price is reasonable too.

We tried the schnitzel and the famous Vienna beef soup. Schnitzel was ok, not excetional. The portion was big, with a tasty salad on the side. The soup broth was nice, meat was a big bland. Services were friendly. Still a nice place to eat in center of Vienna

The waitress with tattoos it was simply the best so far, kindly and very helpful. I got Tafelspitz and it was delicious, the best dish I have tried in Vienna. Near to Stephansplatz and with great local food, the prices are also affordable and all it's made fresh. One of the best must try local restaurant for sure. P.s. I didn't assign to them 5 stars only because they can improve more with a better selection of local handcrafted beer 🍺

Easy going place with friendly waiters. Portion is big and the food is delicious. I would’ve given it 5 stars, but since I found my favorite Tafelspitz in another restaurant 2 days ago, it will only be fair to give this one 4 stars as I gave the other one 5…..😅

This is as authentic as it gets for Austrian cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere, always busy with the locals and tourists. Expect to queue for a table but you'll be attending to quickly. The snitzles, the goulash and liver dumpling soups are done to perfection! Yet they charge a reasonable price. The location is so convenient m you're sure to be nearby when coming to Vienna. The waiters speak reasonably good English.

We spontaneously decided to go to this cafe when we were walking and did not regret that we went to this cool place. Very friendly and courteous staff, who are great at helping with the choice of dishes. Very tasty and big portions. I recommend!!!

Ok, as it is in old town, it is very crowded so we have waited half an hour on the queue to be able to go in. As you are in, the service is too fast, the waitresses are nice and the food comes fast as well. I had schnitzel and it was good. I guess it is the same every where. Recommendation from me is to reserve before going or the same restaurant has other places in the city which are not crowded. You may try those.

  • 4/5 pronins 2 years ago on Google
Very good schnitzel, one of the best I’ve had in Vienna, especially given the location and low prices. There’s basically one type of tap beer, but it’s quite good. The Schnapps selection is also decent. The place was packed during off-peak hours, I really recommend making a reservation. The servers are generally nice and food comes out rather quickly, despite the large number of customers. However, my friend and I were constantly being reminded (every 15-20 minutes) that we had to leave the table by 14:00 (it was reserved from 14:00), even though we came around 12:30, and had plenty of time. That was quite annoying, to be honest, hence the 1-star reduction.

We just had a fantastic dinner at Reinthaler's! For starters, their mixed salad was great - especially their potato salad. The cordon bleu was crispy and flavorsome with generous fillings and the spaetzle was loaded with chunks of cheese and creamy goodness. The fried onions on top especially offered the perfect balance of salt and savory to the dish. The spinach dumplings weren't the best we've had in Vienna, as they mostly comprised of bread (lacked spinach/cheese) and were quite tough, however the sundried tomatoes and dressing enhanced their flavor. Our side of roast potatoes were seasoned perfectly and delicious. One thing to note - our waitress was a little peculiar in that she kept insinuating that we had ordered too much food - and even convinced us to order one dish less. Probably good advice because we had in fact ordered enough food - but not exactly the pushback you want to have when you're excited to try new dishes/foods. Nonetheless, fast and efficient service - our meals came out impressively quick. Good value and great portions - would definitely return!

Busy place. The food portions are good. Prices are reasonable. The beef was tender and the family ate everything. The only downside was that there was no apple strudel.

  • 4/5 Jeremy H. 1 year ago on Google
What a warm place. From the lady on the door who manages the tables (proper character) to the sharing of tables with locals, this felt like we were being let into a true Austrian setting. Food was hearty and well presented. Not at all pretentious, but very comfortable. My veal goulash was rich and tasty, the butter dumplings a little non-descript. The breaded liver was generous and tasty (so my wife tells me 😝). The strudel pastry was soggy but the fruit filling was good. Definitely worth the €41.

I think the food and the restaurant are not worth waiting a long line for. After waiting more than 45min, I would have expected great taste of food but actually it was normal food and nothing special about it. Also if you are two persons, you may get seated with other two persons because otherwise you have to wait longer. The atmosphere at the restaurant is not that great. The positive things are: the staff is very friendly and the prices are not expensive. We had the chicken schnitzel and the vegetables chilli and the potato salad. Nothing special.

  • 5/5 Nicolette T. 1 year ago on Google
Came here because of the great reviews and it did not disappoint! I tried their fried liver and potatoes, with an apple soda on the side. It was really delicious. The staff here are super friendly and kind, and the menus are both in Austrian and English. They have vegetarian options as well. Like the other reviews mentioned, they are also really fast with churning out food and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. Will be back here again the next time I am in Vienna.

Had great dinner with premium quality ingredients with gulash, salad, and dumplings. The service was fast and efficient, and I shared the table with a couple. The only downside was that there was no booking system in place, so there was a long queue to get a table. However, the food and service more than made up for it.

The order was brought in less than 5 minutes, which means that the dish was already ready, that is, they are not preparing it just for you. Nevertheless, it was tasty, the meat was tender. I didn't like the homemade red wine, as if it was non-alcoholic.
