Simple the best. If you want to try exotic, very tasty, authentic food from Ethiopia Cafe Lalibella is a must. The food is amazing. We love the vegetarian plate. You eat with your hands which is an exciting experience. Sometimes there are very long waiting times for food. But George and his team is just so heart-warming that you can’t be mad. We are regularly guests there. We just love the atmosphere and the food there. Highly recommend! Looking forward to next time already again.

Cosy and friendly atmosphere where really tasty food is served, vegan options are available like different kinds of lentils. Rice instead of the traditional rather soft bread is no problem, so is cutlery if don't like eating with fingers. The staff is really friendly. Recommendation!

From the amazing aroma of the burning herbs welcoming you into the restaurant to the sounds of reggae in the background. The food was quite amazing, giving a feeling of the land's cuisine. The service was top notch, and I would highly recommend visiting the restaurant. Not forgetting, St George Beer which is one of a kind.

Delicious vegetarian platter-yetsom beyaynetu! Fresh injera! I had little to eat all day while sightseeing, other than loads of amazing coffee, and stopped here for dinner. Embarrassingly gobbled it all down in less than 15mins. When the waitress came to check on me to ask if I needed anything, not even a piece of injera was left.

Our favorite restaurant in town! They also have delicious vegan food and the atmosphere is authentic and cozy. Also they play nice music! Both the owner and waitresses are extremely friendly and you feel very welcome!

My heart breaks that I can’t visit Ethiopia. The only thing that keeps me going is the tastes and sounds provided by this restaurant. The spicy, rich, satiating, starchy, pleasures that I wrap in fluffy flatbread fills my belly and feeds my soul. Every time I come, George and the gang make me feel like I’m a long-lost family member returning home. A must go in Vienna

Delicious food at this lovely small cafe. It’s not a big place and got a Restaurant and bar area and a tiny toilet. Menu offers more non veggie options which surprised me but still yummy options. Ate the vegetarian platter for one, bread was exceptionally good! Staff are very friendly, service slow at times but was honoured with a smile and some free tea

The food was amazing and the staff was very friendly and helpful! The have vegetarian/vegan options and (most) options are also glutenfree; great for groups as well (but book accordingly!). Bring cash tho, it wasn't possible to pay with credit/debit card

Nicest food I’ve ever experienced. I’ve travelled the world and still, this cuisine has surprised me with its mix of fragrances and textures. Don’t be afraid of eating with your hands, it actually makes the dining experience even more enjoyable. Definitely recommend!!

Very friendly staff. You must try the vegetarian (/vegan) plate for two it's delicious. The coffee is also very good. I would recommend booking a table, since it has been pretty crowded lately.

This restaurant is a two-edged sword! On one hand the food is really tasty & the prices are more than reasonable. So I should rate this higher BUT it is very uncomfortable to sit since the chairs are not really suited for a cozy meal. Also the restaurant was quite chilly so we opted to go to a place nearby to warm us up again. Furthermore the service, whilst friendly, lacks attentiveness & so we sat in front of empty glasses for quite some time. Eating without cutlery certainly is unusual but manageable (even though at least offering some for the hot dishes would be nice). In summary this is one to visit for a quick bite when in the area but certainly not something one should go for a (extended) dinner.

This is one of my favourite restaurants (very few) in Vienna, where I go very often. I love their food. I am never disappointed with their food quality and its amount. Lalibela platte is the recommended one, because you get all the dishes together in small amount. And their injera is absolute delicious. You can have as much as you want. Apart from the food, the people are so nice, so polite, you will always feel that they are your own people. Since it is a very popular place, I strongly recommend to reserve table every time you go there. I strongly recommend this place.
