I had an OK Ceviche as a starter and total disaster main course consisting of guineafowl (breast and thigh) with a side of crayfish and root vegetables. The bird's thigh was totally raw inside, the amount of salt that was poured on top of the meat was numbing so I was unable to taste anything after that and the side dish was obviously old with the crayfish turned into rubber. The waiter, ignoring the obvious pink colour of the thigh, insisted that it is impossible for the meat to be raw as it is done sous-vide and lost interest in listening to what else I wanted to share about the other issues with the dish. Basically told me something like "I'm sorry it is not according to your taste" and ran away. Well it is indeed not to my taste risking my life for eating an incompetently cooked bird meat. I accept that a dish might fail from time to time and I would normally not leave a bad review after one incident, but I'm absolutely not OK with arrogant service that ignores reality and does not even apologize for obvious issues. With that said, dear cook, when you cook birds, sous-vide or not, keep in mind that the thigh needs to reach a higher internal temperature than the breast. Dear waiter, learn to accept criticism and to manage and own a problematic situation as this is part of your job and so that people don't have to leave bad reviews on the internet in order to resolve them.

Great find. We loved sitting on the pavement at a high table. Service is excellent, wine pairings were great🍷and good exceptional.

The food was good, but that is all. There was an unfriendly and sarcastic waiter. The portions were small and they charge for tap water.

Terrible service. The waiter was extremely rude to me and my family for an unknown reason (presumably because we are foreigners, since he was nice to the locals who came after us). He even smirked at us and rolled his eyes when we left without ordering anything because of his disrespectful attitude. Idk about the food, but the experience was just sad and disappointing.

The place for really good fish to eat or buy  in the middle of the city Including the friendliest service you could wish for. Various certificates and a kitchen designed for the sustainable or organic origin of the sea creatures on your plate...simply just Ecologically top  the best of all fish. The innumerable awards of recent years testify or underline my opinion at the entrance door. A charming selection of wines, to drink or take away, and good coffee is still on top.

The best fish restaurant in Vienna, good food, good atmosphere, just one of those places you have to visit!

Five years ago I wrote ... Great location for fish in Vienna. Friendly staff. Great wine selection perfectly matched to the fish. ... Goldfisch is one of those restaurants that gets better every time you visit. Last night we enjoyed a wonderful Rubensuppe, the Ash Wednesday Platter (a variety of herring salads) and grilled trout. Along with a couple glasses of Grüner Veltliner and Sauvignon Blanc. Friendly and professional service, nice setting. What could be better? Be sure to reserve because it's a small restaurant.

The food was amazing and was only topped by the lovely and perfect service! We went there for the first time to have the Dirty Valentine Dinner and we were blown away! We intend to become regulars! 😉

Great local spot for lunch! We had the lunch special which was a great price for two courses. Seafood was delicious, our server was incredibly friendly and helped us with translations. Would definitely recommend!

Best place for fish in Vienna, both for buying and dining in. Bistro-like atmosphere, top quality and great meals which are really focused on the particular fish/seafood, thereby highlighting its very own taste. Big recommendation!

We found this place occasionally on Google and drop in without booking. Restaurant was fully booked, therefore we had to sit outside, that gave a little inconvenience due to noise and fumes from transport. But we were absolutely satisfied with food, service and atmosphere of the place. This is not one of those posh restaurants that has fancy interior but mediocre food. In Goldfisch we enjoyed extremely high quality of seafood, great and warm service and unforgettable evening. We had tuna tartar as a starter (that was given to us as a welcome gift from the restaurant), oysters, hot seafood appetizer and seafood risotto. Lady Owner also helped us to choose right pairing wine for the food. It was such a nice dinner, definitely will come back there if in Vienna again.
