How on earth is this TERRIBLE restaurant in the Bib Gourmand? Our chicken was burnt to the point of visible black charring, you couldn't even cut it with a knife - it was tougher than shoe leather. My salad actually had a piece of rotten lettuce in it. Not that they ever checked to see how the food was. The staff were too busy chatting to friends to take care of the 3 tables in the entire restaurant. My glass was empty for 30 minutes (again, staff too busy chatting to get a refill). Then when I finally ordered a refill, it never came. My husband ordered a coffee with dessert...also never came - mind you, it was on the bill. We told them about the burnt inedible food. The server shrugged and said 'okay'. That's it. Then continued to ignore us. I see they are a neighbourhood type place - I expect the good reviews are coming from friends in the area. The only thing worse than the food is the service. They also only accept cash, no cards - but that is the least of the problems.

This place deserves more than 5 stars Easily the best service we have received in all of Vienna Amazing food - lovely setting - but the winner was the impeccable service A hidden gem in district 05 (cash only) Can’t wait to return already

Easy going, very good food, with some room still for perfection, personal service, cosy, without much space around you, definitely authentic local produce (like Austrian wines only), no foul compromises

If you want to feel like you have relatives who can host and cook you a traditional viennese meal, this is the place. No frills, none of the touristy stuff. The restaurant feels more like a house than a commercial establishment. I never thought I’d enjoy pumpkin soup that much - considering how often you see it in menus. The soup had this super tasty oil and the crunch of the toasted pumpkin seeds were just perfect. Liver stew was also super homey. Great meal altogether. 100% would come back. Just remember to come before 2pm if you’re going for lunch, they close after that and open again for dinner.

I had a wonderful dinner here last night. Everything was delicious and timely and the wine was excellent and very affordable. I'm going again for lunch because of how wonderful it was. For a soup, main course, desert, two glasses of wine and a spirit it was under 50 even with a tip.

If they close the kitchen at 13h30, they should update their opening hours. It is not polite to be left out the door because of incorrect information.

A very homely restaurant with value for money lunches. If you are not in the mood for the daily set lunch, there is a separate lunch menu which is also quite affordable. Menus are provided in English as well should you need it.

Woracziczky Gasthaus isn't just a restaurant; it's a portal to the heart of Vienna. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the warmth of owner Marion and the whole team, whose smile is as welcoming as the aroma of delicious food wafting from the kitchen. The atmosphere is pure Viennese charm: cozy wooden interiors bathed in warm light, creating a comfortable and inviting space. The menu sings of local, seasonal ingredients, with each dish crafted with passion and skill. Woracziczky's culinary magic lies in its simplicity. The Wiener Schnitzel is a masterpiece of crispy perfection, while the hearty Gulasch warms you from the inside out. Every bite is a celebration of authentic Viennese flavors and traditions. Beyond the food, what truly sets Woracziczky apart is its genuineness. The team‘s infectious hospitality and the friendly service create an atmosphere that makes you feel like you're dining amongst family. Whether you're a foodie or simply seeking a taste of authentic Vienna, Woracziczky is a must-visit. Just remember to reserve your table, as this Viennese gem is known for its popularity!

What a wonderful hidden gem. We arrived just as they opened for lunch at 11:30 without a reservation. We were greated by friendly and communicative staff, had delicious traditional food, made accurately with little pretense. These people clearly enjoy thier craft and being hospitable and made the best effort to translate the daily lunch menu in German for us. Next time in Vienna, we will be back.

Friendly Environment with amazing food for the price! I had the deep fried chicken with green salad, it has been the best meal I’ve had in Vienna! My friend had the dish of the day which was a fish soup, he absolutely loved it. Can’t recommend this place enough, the staff were friendly and service was quick!

Very nice, small, simple but elegant traditional viennese restaurant off the beaten track. The food extraordinary good and a marvelous glass of wine. The service not top of sympathy but, well, this is Vienna 😊

Bib Gourmand is greatly exaggerated in my view. Service is good but a bit dry. Food is ok but misses balance and compared to other Bib Gourmand restaurants in Vienna clearly not boxing in the same league

Best meal and service in Vienna. Lovely, hyper-seasonal food grounded in Austrian tradition with a farm to table feel and extremely comfortable and approachable atmosphere. The owner was incredibly friendly and the hand written menu charming.

The taste of homemade food, a cozy environment and a friendly staff. Definitely a good place for lunch or dinner with very affordable lunch menu every day.

Simple and fantastic food, and the owner was incredibly nice. You should order a table, otherwise there's no way you'll find one.

The food was average, the staffs seem to be nice people, but the service was disappointing (maybe it was okay, but not good for a 4.7 rating restaurant!)

We had a lovely dinner in this small restaurant near where we were staying. Staff were very nice to our daughter who was having a bad day and screaming... FYI, no high chair, no air conditioning (pretty standard in Europe)

An incredibly homey and welcoming place with delicious food, great service and fair prices. The owner is really friendly and brings a very positive vibe, making the whole experience really great! One of my favourite places in Vienna.

I really like this restaurant. You feel at home in it. Inside - cozy and calm. Large windows in the restaurant give a lot of light and the opportunity to see inside the hall and outside the window. The restaurant has a lot of interesting antiques, books that you want to look at and think about their history. And the biggest plus of the restaurant is the friendly atmosphere in the restaurant - the hostess and her bartender are always sincerely happy to see everyone in their restaurant, they will immediately advise what they have on the menu and offer to either sit down to wait for the dish or take it with you to take away. The food order is brought very quickly. They have everything the dishes are very tasty! Every day different dishes. Coffee and tea - the most delicious in Vienna! Therefore, if you have the opportunity to go to this place, I advise you! You will not find another such Austrian restaurant in Vienna!
