Highly not recommended. It basically ruined my trip in Vienna. I went by myself for lunch at 2pm. First I want sit outside because I saw lots of empty tables outside and it was nice weather. The receptionist insist there were no tables outside because it’s all booked. All through my time spent there, the empty tables just more and more, no really booked customers came. Secondly the dishes are not really deserve the price. The soup is super salty. The roast chicken was average taste. Finally, maybe all waiters think they are in a posh place so they have to act really arrogant. I lost my personally stuff when I left on the table. When I called the restaurant, they simply said they never found anything without even checking! It was a gift to my daughter. I mean who can do something like this?

It was fantastic service everyone in this restaurant even better then Park Hyatt Grill. The server really care the customers and they made me so happy. Is this case food is not that important. Risotto was delicious.

A delightful restaurant with a pleasant evening atmosphere. Centrally located, the food was truly delicious. We had an excellent pasta, but our favorite were the lamb chops. The service was decent.

As a former restaurant founder, I’ve never been so repulsed by another fellow restaurant owner or chef??. No amount of perceived level of success should allow Fabio to treat potential customers with so much disrespect. We walked in and asked if the empty tables outside were reserved. We got hit with “only inside, you either take it or not”. At this point we already felt unwelcome but decided to give the over stressed guy a chance. Once we sat, I was in the midst of asking the waitress to let us know if we can later be moved should anything become available. Then Fabio’s runs over and yells “I told them no!” And then comes and arrogantly says “let me introduce myself, I am Fabio himself, I told you no, so let’s cut it” and pointed us out. I wonder what may be going on in his life that’s so bad to bring out such an ego. Hope he’s okay!? Shame on the restaurant chef/ owner, and most importantly we send our condolences to the poor employees. What a sad, awfully dictatorship environment to work for. Such restaurant owners must feel they deserve some kind of special worship to lack common human courtesy. What have you the right to degrade two customers for asking for a better seat? Something must have gone wrong in your head. I may say, this is not a route to permanent success, and the most distasteful flavor to any business. We pity you Fabio. Wish you luck.

To avoid at all costs. Bumped at the entrance after reserving for dinner on a weekday, due to wearing shorts. Personnel was incredibly rude and offered no apologies while letting them notice there was no mention whatsoever of any dress code on the website or on-site. The only, unapologetic explanation offered was “Come on, you’ve seen the restaurant”. While exiting, I noticed a table close to the entrance with another couple of people, also wearing shorts. Utter nonsense, never visiting again.

Absolutly disaster and a mistake. service level unacceptable. we decided to visit "Fabios" which is situated in the center of Vienna. Cool interior and spacious terrace. Welcome front manager to inquire about table availability now or for another possible date. Answer in a very rude, abusive way "I don't have time to talk" he turned on his heel. I understand that I can get busy even though the restaurant was empty. Nowhere in the world have I seen such an aggressive man such an exclusive place. After leaving, the manager shouted racisst words and cursed even more loudly. See you never.

Been here twice now, once in 2021 and once in 2023. Professionalism of service and quality of food/recipes is top notch and is the primary reason I recommend this restaurant. Cocktail list is excellent! I usually stay at the Park Hyatt around the corner and this is very convenient to the inner city hotels. It is unfortunate to read the comments of people who selfishly complain about not being seated right away when they come with no reservation! It is simple to confirm a booking even the same day so 30 seconds of effort to confirm your booking will ensure a fabulous lunch or dinner experience.

Nice location with average Italian food. But the owner/manager is really rude and makes you feel unwelcome. It’s not straightforward how can you reserve a table outside. Once we got it, the second time we were offered the lounge, although there were clearly empty, unreserved tables outside. The owner stated that “it is his restaurant and he does not want to discuss table reservations”, which is fair I guess, but not something I would spent my money on ever again.

I don't understand the price. As the price goes up, you would expect the food quality, taste, service, and ambience to be at higher stakes, but in this restaurant, the logic doesn't apply for any reason; the food has an average taste, which, for someone who doesn't really drink, I personally think is a no go. The service is ok, and the ambience is nothing special either.. If it were a lower price, I think it would make a great restaurant, but it is just overrated and considered a luxurious restaurant just for the price because I don't have any other rational explanation. For conclusion, I am sure that we have much cheaper restaurants that will make Italian food better; I know this because I ate, paid, and know better.

Unfriendly manager and supervisor( or owner ) The place was quiet empty it was 5.30 They didn’t want to give me a table in the main dining area but gave me the one In the bar section (all the way inside )where it was boiling hot. I just left… you are not giving us food for free! And you should learn what is customer service and hospitality Tourists be aware

We had a fantastic dinner. Food was just perfect! Their ceviche and fish soup was amazing, not mentioning their veal liver which was sooo soft and delicious. Definetely recommend it to everyone!

The two stars of the evaluation are deserved solely for the staff. Super friendly and always available. There are two reasons for avoiding this restaurant: first of all, the environment is too crowded and there is not enough space between certain tables, which is not just a great way to catch COVID, but it leads to a really noisy room and not the best experience. The second reason concerns the food. The plate presentations are good, but the dishes are not that special, in my opinion. All the flavours I felt on the dish weren't worked that well. It felt like the cooking techniques were quite basic. Not to say the ingredients weren't good, it is just the final result that didn't live up to the expectations. For the price, there are restaurants in Vienna that give you a lot better experience than Fabio's.

Quite expensive italian restaurant in the middle of Wien. Average food, not too much for soo much money. The location is not very exclusive but the inner design is. The staff is very elegant, kind and helpful. Doesnt really worth the money.

One does not come here for the food (beautiful menu but of average quality and higher priced) or the service (likely struggling to rebuild after covid), but to see and be seen. Make a reservation, put on your best attire and pray for a decent seat on the patio. Then sit back and enjoy the show of the other diners. If you read between the lines on Michelin, they basically warn you of this…

restaurant in the center of Vienna, next to all branded shops, Opera .... very greasy food, quite tasty. The place tries to keep a "high level" at the expense of the fact that at the entrance they announce you - "no vacancies", very large frivolous women with inflated lips (by far the majority of Russian women)😅

Unfortunately the quality of this restaurant went downhill the past few years. The tables are right next to each other. Almost no privacy. Food is okay-ish. With such a marketing and promotion they’ve been doing, they should definitely either decrease the prices in half or make more space between the tables and drastically increase the food quality. This is such a disappointment for me. I used to love this place but now it’s just a huge waste of money. I wouldn’t recommend it 👎🏼👎🏼

Might be a bit loud but that’s the Italian flair I guess ;) Excellent food and service but a bit pricy. They could use some extra waiters but besides that everything’s perfect. Outstanding selection of grappas!

Good food, lovely ambiance. Incredible slow service when ordering wine by the bottle. In general with restaurants that does not have only 1 main server pr table you will have this problem. Throughout the meal 4-5 different people will approach the table, having no idea about the clients preferences, which were communicated to the first waiter. At this price level, cafeteria style service doesn't work for me. Would return if service improves to restaurant standards 🍷

Nice fine dining lounge vibe inside. Would be a great place for a pre dinner drink. Lemon tart was great. Chocolate soufflé okay. Sea bass good. Grilled artichoke okay.

The restaurant looks lovely inside and out. However, the service was not that great… the restaurant was not busy/packed but the waiter was slow and not attentive. For a restaurant of that caliber you would expect the service to be on a different level. Their signature lasagna was basic, oily and tasted like an M&S microwave meal. The Octopus, green bean salad and fries were 10/10 though! Finally, I found it a bit odd that when paying for the bill the waiter was very forward and asked for a tip. The food is not worth the price in my opinion.

A very Chic high end place. Fantastic experience. The Manager at the door was very courteous. He knew his reservations and was well informed with the names. Great experience. When I was there last year in summer, the place was completely sold out and there was no space. the same manager helped and made space for us . Will visit again

definitely worth the experience but ofc it‘s a very pricey experience haha, service was super nice though and also funny and we had a good time. we also asked about non alcoholic drinks and they immediately had an answer, also they knew if there is any alcohol in their dishes and desserts, so very helpful and nice staff. ofc the portion of the food is not that big but that is a given in such a fancy place :)

My family and I enjoyed a very nice meal and Fabio's. I have a 21-year-old son and a 17-year-old son, and together with my wife, we had a really pleasant experience. The food is really very good and the ambiance is quite nice. What maybe set it apart was the quality of service. Our maitre d' was extremely accommodating and our waitress was excellent. Very friendly and very efficient. Definitely would recommend this.

Great service, delicious food, super friendly. Very helpful with food allergies (amazing gluten free bread). Definitely need a reservation to eat here, especially for a bigger group. Highly recommend.

Terrible service. Very rude personell! Our reservation was denied even though it was confirmed in the first place and then they kicked us out of the restaurant... After that we even tried to reserve again, but they left us without reservation, with no further information. TERRIBLE, wouldn‘t recommend it to anyone.

Feel the Italian vibes right in Vienna. Every time we visit, we are closer to our beloved Italy. We appreciate the unmistakable atmosphere in an intimate space, top-notch meal served by staff synchronized like an orchestra. Thanks to the Fabios team, we always love to come back.

Fabios was fantastic. We were seeking a high-quality restuarant prior to an opera performance and Fabios was perfect!. We had a reservation on 30 June 2022 at 4:00pm/16:00hrs prior to a 7:00pm/19:00hrs opera performance and had plenty of time to enjoy our meal. It was a rather warm afternoon/evening in Vienna so we opted for indoors...however, there was no air-conditioning indoors so we were still very warm. Outside on the patio may have been better as long as you are in the shade. We are a family of 6 including children ages 13-20 and are all very adventurous eaters. The cuisine of Fabios was phenomenal, unique and delicious. The wait staff was top-notch and very attentive. While somewhat pricey you will get what you pay for. I would recommend Fabios to you for any special occasion. Please consider visiting Fabios when you are in Vienna.

By far the best crowd in town, if you want to go out for a fun dining experience in Vienna you go here its loud and fun. The food is fantastic, the service is excellent although it could improve in serving time. Probably because the place is very crowded. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a fun night out.

Service was the main highlight tonight, everyone was very nice. I came in for a late dinner (10pm) and they offer a limited option menu which is expected. There were great options, nice atmosphere for a weekday, chilled and relax vibe. Liquor selection was great, glassware was elegant. We ended up on a botth table right next to the DJ and it was fun. I recommend this place. Check the menu prices before going, in my opinion is worth the experience.

The service and food were state of the art. Specifically the steak was unforgettable. My only complaint is that for these prices - air conditioning should be provided.

  • 4/5 Yara Z. 2 years ago on Google
Great service, great starters. Dish I ordered was quite average, extremely salty, and flavorless (a seafood pasta). I give them a 3 for the food but a 4 because of the service. My friends did like their dishes though, but nothing to write home about. It’s more about ambience than food, so maybe just not really my kind of place. If you’re looking for a good time and some starters in a fancy place, it’s cool.

December 30th was the first time in the Fabios retsoran. My friends recommended this place to me. The first time I came without a reservation and I was politely greeted and escorted to the bar, I had a great time, delicious cocktails. And on January 2, I was passing by and decided to book a table to have dinner with relatives from Spain. When I came in, a man met me and immediately said that we had no seats and the reservation was closed, he said you can come tomorrow after the fact. After that, I went out and decided to come back in to use the ladies' room, I'm sorry. When I went to the toilet, he ran after me, saying that the toilet was only for guests of the retreat. And he escorted me to the exit. When I asked his name, he replied, "This is my restaurant and I decide who should be here." This is a rude attitude! I wrote several times on Instagram, but after 2 days I was blocked. Terrible attitude..
