All of our food was very good. We were challenged a little with the service. It seemed at first they did not want to take our order as they cut us off and went to speak with other customers and have a smoke. We are guessing our English made it difficult for our server. Once we had a new server things moved along quickly. The serving sizes were more than adequate and tasty. We enjoyed all of our meals. We enjoyed the visit.

What a wonderful place. My wife and I showed up without reservations and the folks here found a way to get us in. The food was delicious. Everything was well made, hot, fresh, and flavorful. All served up by very friendly people. They even humored me as I tried to speak German with them. Great job!

You need a reservation for lunch and dinner because the chances are very slim to get a table otherwise. The food was ok, nothing special. But mine… my dish came almost cold and some of the chicken was raw. My boyfriend didn’t have any problems with his dish

We love this place! We have been lived in Vienna for 5 years now and this restaurant is near our home. We love to come, is delicious traditional Austrian food, very generous portion so you can even share! And what we like the most is that the waiters are so nice and funny! We say is the best Austrian restaurant in 2nd district :) Thank you guys!

Overall the staff was nice, food was good and in large amounts, and not particularly expensive. If you're in the neighborhood I would strongly recommend this place. As a party of 8 it was a bit difficult getting a table as walk-in, but they accommodated us well inside. The food is great and not especially expensive. What stood out the most was the portion sizes, we ordered the fried cheese which came with 5 large fried cheeses, and the cordon bleu which came with 2 large and thick pieces for only 18 euros; it could easily be split between two people. The atmosphere is rustic and very cozy, there is music but not too loud so you can't hear each other. The staff is nice and accommodating.

Schnitzel is very tasty and juicy. It's good that I ordered a small portion, because a large portion of schnitzel is just a giant plate for 2 for me. A very pleasant and tasty place, everything is “home-made” But you need to take into account that there are a lot of people and your food is cooked from 30 minutes, but it was very tasty and hot. Worth my wait 🤤

Great local restaurant with a mixture of locals & tourists... Well priced with portions, even the hungriest guests would find hard to finish Friendly and efficient staff If we return to the Ferris Wheel & theme park I'll be sure to try another dish and some more delightful well priced local wines.. An authentic Austrian cuisine with a nice staff who don’t mind explaining to you the dishes that are not in the English menu. And the price is reasonable.

Nice austrian type family restaurant. The price, variety and the portion of the dishes are fine. The only con. is, the service is slow.

We walked in without reservation on 25th December, which was so wonderful as we were afraid to be on a restaurant-crisis on holiday. The food turned out to be so good and it was much more affordable than we could think of. Recommend!!!

Place is typical Austrian and you will not be let down. Be sure to have a translator on your phone as their English is less than minimal. Portions are reasonable and highly recommend the spaetzel with cheese and onion. The farmers plate with roast beef, beer sauerkraut, a little sausage, ham and the famous big ball of stuffing they call a dumpling. Beer is good but you must try the lemon beer it’s awesome.

Best culinary experience we've had in Vienna - will definitely try to visit again in the future. One-of-a-kind vibe, great atmosphere and staff and, most importantly, first-class food. Had a pleasure to try out most of Vienna classic dishes, absolutely no complaints here. PS. Their Kaiserschmarrn rules ❤️

What a wonderful service! Big portions, good price and, of course, the best schtzel i ever eaten. Thank you so much! I was on time for the flight ;)

Great food. Authentic Austrian place with outdoor seating. Helpful staff. The mixed (meat) platter is great!

One of the best places in Vienna especially if you want to try Schnitzel for price under 20 euros in typical Austrian restaurant atmospehere with good beer. There are plenty variations of Schnitzel (with onion, mushrooms, cordon blu etc.) and portions are very big (as usual). Crunch of Schnitzel was crunchy and not soaking of oil. On the photo you can see "small" portion, "big" portion was 2 euros more expensive but size of the Schnitzel was almost double.

Huge portions and real Viennese home cooking. Very decent prices compared to amount and quality. For me it's the kasespatzle and keiserschmarrn - must try! Nice and welcoming staff

Austrian cuisine? - This is your place to go! Classic dishes for very nice prices and tasting very very good! It is a popular place among locals so be prepared there won’t be a table for you, but it is really worth to go here. Beer is also 5*

This place is one to go for when you are looking for some simple and tasty local food. The service is impeccable, and the staff will know to take your orders in English too. Dishes are very generous and taste is excellent (soups are the best to start with). If you go for a meal, you must get the Kaiserschman for desert (get it to share, as it's big even for two). Prices are also very decent for the area.

Really good schnitzel, beef soup and chocolate cake. I would like to go there again.

Great local Austrian food very close to Prater. The food was tasty and judging by local people in the restaurant it must be authentic too. The portions are quite big. In my opinion it is much more for a single person. We had a big appetite and we were thankful that we didn't order desert or starter. We striggled to finish the main dish only. There are good vegetarian option also. The people here speak English and the menu is also in English. Pricewise I would say it is moderate. Overall a nice place to visit.

Had beer and boneless fried chicken. Was delicious. And the portion was ginormous. Could definitely have split too bad I was alone. Der Chef was cool and spoke English if you need it.

Tried to find reasonable priced goulash dishes and good food. Took a lot of research and found this pub. So I had a fiakergulasch and a Muraur beer (the only cask beer they have) which was really good. The bread dumpling tasted like meat. As you can see the size is pretty decent. I did get full with this meal. Staff was pretty good nice too. I'd recommend you not to sit near the entrance though as cigarette smoke can be blown in.

Easily the best food I’ve had during my trip to Europe. Friendly staff, good drinks, and massive helpings of just delicious stuff. 10/10 would gorge myself again. Zwiebelrostbraten was by far the best I had though, even if I still can’t pronounce it.

If you want to eat the Austrian's cousine, in large quantity at small price, that Is the right restaurant. In the middle of the city, Easy to reach, not only using the metro but also by walk. 👍
