Good traditional restaurant. The waiters speak English. The food is variated and very good (except desert). They son's have a very big beer variation, but what they serve is very good. We had some unfiltered draught beer. It is allowed to smoke inside. They don't accept credit or debit cards, only cash.

Great food, big portions, very good prices. We felt in love with the goulash (soup and main course), got to try it! The shnitzel was good as well, but goulash won!

Kaiserscharrn is AMAZING! Warm, soft and crispy all at the same time. Fruit compote was tart but just a touch too sweet.

Brilliant local pub-restaurant / Beisl. Brilliant local fare, authentic setting, excellent value. Check out the daily specials on their web site, like specialities from Mangalitza pork! The photo shows a classical rare old Viennese dish with brains and kidneys but there is plenty of choice also for less adventuring eaters and even vegetarians... (always a little tricky in Austria) The Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, and Gemischter Satz wines are from their own vineyards, and the Nußschnaps is also home made. In a nutshell, this is The Real McCoy. The only thing not to like is that they're closed on weekends...

Tasty goulash, perfect service, good prices. It was cold today, so hot wine was in time and good enough to recommend. Bear is good too

Had an excellent cordon bleu here. My wife loved her Kaiserschmarrn. Has a great old school feel to the place. Next time we visit Vienna we’re coming back.

Cash only payment, had to run through the downpour with my buddy to the nearest ATM to cash out the money. The food was mediocre, got supermarket level sausages and ordinary fried potatoes, nothing out of this world, didn't expect much though. Would've rated this place as a solid 3/5 but the experience was utterly ruined right in the end of our meal course by finding out that the payment is only accepted in cash.

The food is ok but the place really is unpleasant. If you end up downstairs in the cave, there is a disguting smell of toilets mixed with toilet spray and humidity. That's not exactly the definition of traditional or rustic but a sign that the place definitely needs to be cleaned up.

Only giving 2 stars because the beer is good. But very disappointed with my food. It seems as they just took two sausages and warmed it up in the microwave. If you are looking for authentic Austrian food I would suggest going somewhere else.

This place is wonderful. We spent an entire week in Vienna eating out , and of all of the places we visited we loved this one. Great food and full of locals, which as a tourist can be highly appreciated! The service was great and it changes from the fancy pricy city center. I absolutely recommend it, specially if you want to try local food at really affordable prices

Our masks were forcefully taken down on our entrance, we exited immediately. I am surprised this happens often in Vienna.
