Positivey surprised. Food was delicious. My starter was a kind of vitello tonnato but with horse meat and tuna sashimi on top…. Yummy!! 😊 We tried a bottle of rote veltliner and it was outstanding!

This place was recommended to us as offering traditional dishes and it didn't disappoint. The restaurant is small, cosy and simply furnished with our table offering a view of the kitchen. We had no reservation but it was was a relatively quiet Friday evening. The pork dish was a huge slab of meat with small portions of potatoes and vegetables in a tasty gravy helped along with a basket of home-made bread. The menu seemed interesting and I would have liked to try a pudding but had no room left after the main course. The prices were on the high side and they only accept cash so one of us had to pop out to the ATM round the corner. Otherwise an enjoyable meal.

Unfortunately very dissapointing experience. We had a great evening and fun but service was very much below average. Told us certain meals are out but served it 30 min later to people that came in later. Risotto not recommended.

That was a fantastic experience!!! Such a charming place and the food was beautiful. We followed every recommendation for dishes and wines based on our preferences and what they offered us just hit the spot!!!! Nothing was too much and nothing was not enough. A great balance between land and sea and an honest food prepared with a lovely presentation. It came straight from the heart. I strongly recommend!!!!

Excellent cuisine and service. I highly recommend to choose a set meal, that's when you get to taste the most of the chef's talent. The personnel is very attentive and can recommend superb wines to go with the meals. Very good selection of Austrian wines for reasonable prices.

Appiano features an interesting mix of both traditional Viennese cuisine and very non-traditional fusion. Our party of three sampled both styles and we were quite pleased with them all. A very nice wine list as well!

Austrian cuisine and service at its best. Delicious tongue and lentil stew, perfectly chilled Bründlmayer Sekt, what else can the hungry traveller crave? Gemütlich, köstlich, guat.
