If you look for a wonderful, and somehow different breakfast than your usual one, check out "The Guesthouse Vienna". Wait, you are asking why I tell you to check it out and just give 4 stars? Sometimes the waiters are a bit too busy, so they get stuff wrong, or you have to wait longer. In my case, they didn't get my sourdough bread and brought me an additional egg instead, and I had to ask twice for my coffee and grapefruit juice, after my companionship finished already theirs. All in all, an excellent place to have breakfast in a nice Vienna centered location.

We had a great 1 night stay at The Guesthouse Vienna. Central location yet in a quiet area, letting you have a good night's sleep. The rooms are incredibly spacious and comfortable, with a cutest nook overseeing beautiful Vienna. Mikhail at the reception shared all the necessary details to have a good stay, and shared recommendations of restaurants in the area. We had a small health scare during the evening and the hotel staff were incredibly kind and supportive, bringing me bread & ginger tea, and getting us a cab to a hospital - thank you for that! We also had breakfast in the morning at the Brasserie which was really enjoyable. I would recommend booking ahead of time at the restaurant for dinner or breakfast as they are open to guests outside the hotel and it gets full fast. The only downside is that there is no lobby (only the restaurant) at the ground floor. Highly recommend and would be back again.

Amazing! Rooms are like apartments some with great views over the opera house. The staff are great but best of all is the location, it’s close to EVERYTHING! We had a great time at this hotel and will definitely return.

We have just returned from a fabulous stay at the Guesthouses. The hotel is beautifully designed and in a great location, right opposite the Albertina, which makes it walking distance to many places you might want to visit on a city break. We had a lovely room with a great view and a really nice little reading nook in one of the windows. The rooms are well thought through, with a lot of space and a lovely large bathroom. The Bakery/Brasserie serves very nice food and also has a nice terrace outside on the square. All staff are lovely and super helpful! We would definitely come back if we return to Vienna!

I had a great stay at the Guesthouse for a weekend in Vienna. The location is very convenient for the state opera and other attractions. Our room was a good size, the bed was very comfortable, the shower was great, there was a proper coffee machine which ground the beans, and most drinks in the mini fridge including white wine and beer were included in the room price. We also enjoyed brunch in the restaurant which is usually pretty busy so you are advised to book. The staff were very helpful and spoke good English. The hotel has been thoughtfully done and the attention to detail is excellent, we really couldn't find anything to fault. Highly recommended.

The room was wonderful (booked the one with the window reading spots) + very generous mini bar. Perfect location in the center of Vienna. Ended up having breakfast in the bakery every day as it was super tasty and nice to sit outside. Will come back!

One of the best hotels I've been to. The room was very well designed, with great view and incredible attention to detail. The coffee machine was awesome, and we also enjoyed the free drinks that come with the room. Service was impeccable, and every request we had was answered quickly. Add the perfect location to all that, and you get an altogether great experience. Highly recommended.

This place is incredible... The photos they have on their site do NOT do it justice... The service is great, the rooms are fantastic, the beds are amazing. Our room overlooked the plaza and had a great view of the Albertina museum.. Had two windows and one of them actually doubled as a seating area large enough for two. Everything inside the mini bar (except for the champagne and sparkling) was free... meaning we had two bottles of White (both very good) and two bottles of red to do with as we wanted. You can even take the bottles down to the restaurant if you want to eat at the Brasserie! The rooms (or at least my room) are very nicely decorated with mid-century furniture... The bathrooms are large and well designed. The location of the hotel is great as you are very centrally located and have access to trams and subway. Opera house is close by. Hope to be able to stay here again next time i'm back in Austria!

Where to begin? The rooms are stunning - luxurious, comfortable, lovely amenities, AND complimentary bottles of wine with your stay. The service was excellent, and the location couldn't have been better. It's within walking distance to excellent restaurants, shops, and local attractions. Can't wait to stay at the Guesthouse again.

Café/restaurant: There is a reason why the place is always packed and a reservation is a must, the food is absolutely fabulous. You can enjoy the breakfast menu all day. The regular dishes are very tasty as well. Always enjoy coming back.

Good location, good price and very nice interior design. Would have given 5 stars had we not had a bad experience with the bellhop who put us in the wrong taxi after we paid for a limo with the hotel to take us to the airport, and after the limo driver presented himself at checkout - IN FRONT OF THE BELLHOP.

Excellent!!! Our stay was amazing! The rooms were spacious and modern and so many amenities. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent and our server ( Moritz) was the best,!!!! Fantastic location in Vienna. Can't wait to return.

Excellent stay at this hotel for 3 nights. The location is absolutely perfect for Vienna. You are close to everything and the rooms are very quiet. The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming upon arrival and they offered several good restaurant tips in the area. The room was well sized and very comfortable. Plenty of room to relax. The beds were comfortable. The bath was great with strong water pressure. The room includes a few cool add-ons including free water, beer and wine. Restaurant downstairs is excellent for breakfast and a glass of wine on the patio in the afternoon or evening. The only negative was the relatively slow wi-fi. Would definitely stay here again in Vienna.

Did not stay at the hotel, but, did dine in the restaurant. A fantastic mid-centrury designed cafe that makes you feel like you're transported back to an earlier time. Great food and service. Lunch special was excellent...pulled-pork witth coleslaw and a fried egg with frites...delicious!

It’s a bit more pricey, but there also a lot of small features from the design of the rooms and service that make it worth it. Location is amazing. A lot of locals come to be seen at the restaurant, a bit bougie but friendly environment.

Best place to stay in Vienna, overlooking the Albertina and walking distance to nearly everything. The restaurant is amazing and the dedicated reading nook in the window was the perfect touch. A lot of thought went into this hotel and it shows!

The hotel is great, I loved the cake and little stuffed animal waiting for me in the room. I would like to point out that the pictures around the hotel aren’t very kid friendly. My room had a photo of a woman holding up her middle finger and multiple of people smoking. Great hotel, anyways. Maria, 11

The room and experience provided was so amazing. Loved the bathroom, wine and espresso in room. Taking the wine to the restaurant is a must! Great good and even better service! I want to go back so bad!

Words is not enough to explain how fantastic the staff are at The Guesthouse, Vienna. 10/10 would visit again. The food is great and the location is so central which makes going to markets, tourist spots very easy. I proposed to my now fiancé and the staff at the hotel went the extra mile to help me. All the staff were terrific, made the whole holiday experience so amazing! From the kitchen, Bell boys & Reception staff! I don't remember all their names, only Jayson, Jaquelyn and Niall. But all were exceptional! If the management can see this review, they represented the company so well and deserve incentives for everything they've done. They went above and beyond. Would absolutely love to host them all should they visit England. Thank you very much!

Had an outstanding time at this boutique hotel in August of 2021. The room was amazing and the hotel staff was able to get us last minute dinner reservations at choice restaurants. Fantastic service and couldn’t ask for anything more.

Liked the room (didn't spend a TON of time in it). Having beer and wine complimentary was really smart. Nice to have free to unwind after a long day. Best point was the service. Quick and efficient in the cafe and the entirety of the crew at the front desk were incredible from recommendations to greetings to assisting with needs in the room. Highly recommend. Plenty to do within walking distance as well.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Guesthouse Vienna. The service was outstanding. I had written for advice for Christmas Eve dinner reservations and the hotel staff made DOZENS of calls for me for about a week trying to find something for us! In none of the other 10 hotels we stayed at during our trip did the staff go out of their way to do anything like that! The restaurant even gave me a real fork when we were leaving and I had asked for a takeaway fork! They also did a really cool job with the decor and the smallish space of the rooms. I loved the vibe, and my husband loved the amazing coffee machine in the room and the scented spray for your pillow at night. I also loved the welcome sweets- soo good. We don’t drink much, but I was shocked they offer free wine. What hotel does that? The location is fabulous too! My one regret is that we didn’t have a chance to eat at the restaurant - maybe that would be good- if it could be included. It looked delicious. I would absolutely stay here again.

We booked the Guesthouse as we always prefer boutique hotels over the big name brands. The Guesthouse is in a great location with well-designed rooms. Unfortunately, the hospitality was lacking for a 5 star hotel. Given comparable (and famous) 5 star hotels in Vienna I expected the Guesthouse to edge out on the hospitality front but missed the mark. That being said, I'd still recommend - but tame your expectations.

Incredible designer hotel with very well trained staff and a well run kitchen. I come to the restaurant regularly and it's by far my favorite place to have coffee outdoors in Vienna. Congratulations to the staff team for maintaining a very high level of service.

This review is for the cafe/restaurant: LOVED it here. A beautiful stop on a warm day after walking for a bit too long. Coffee was the best, and the lemon tart absolutely delicious (the poppy seed chocolate cake, not so much). The whole place was very tasteful, beautifully designed. We didn’t stay here, but wish we did.

In our leisure evening we had some special desserts 🥰 from @the_guesthouse_vienna and drinks 🍹. It was just a quite pleasant time with friends there, cozy and comfortable.☺️✌️✌🏽✌🏻

We had an amazing stay in August 2022. The room was furnished beautifully and great quality. We really appreciated and enjoyed the complimentary drinks (wine, coffee, soft drinks). The location is amazing and incredibly central. All the staff were really friendly too. A perfect stay.

I used to live here in 1993-1994, when it was a university dormitory; the only one in the First Bezirk... I love what you guys have done to the property and I can't wait to stay here!!! Please post some more pictures of all the great food you have!!!

I don’t know, how they got 4,6 Stars. But the breakfast wasn’t the best in my life. Maybe coffee was good, but was a standard breakfast with exaggerated prices... for boiled egg 3,20€??? And the place itself was in a kind of old style form. And next time please wash the glasses better - I could’ve smelled something... Because of the coffee I’ll give you 2 stars. Otherwise because of the price/quality that would be 1
