Chattanooga, Tennessee is my home town so when we saw the Chattanooga Cafe we knew we had to have lunch there. We expected outrageous prices because it's in a heavy tourist area but it wasn't so bad. The prices were actually cheaper than what we pay when we go out in Bratislava. The interior strikes me as a fancy dining car from a train in old movies. I read online that no one is exactly sure where the name comes from but it's probably named after Glen Miller's famous Chattanooga Choo Choo song and since it looks like a train dining cart inside I believe that story.

Had a great dinner here. We ordered the pork ribs and a chicken basket to share. The pork ribs were nicely seasoned in the sauce and very tender. The chicken basket was a bit smaller than expected and consisted of fried chicken sticks rather than chicken wings. They were very crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Beer was also cold and great! Service was good and quite fast as well. Prices were not that cheap for the portion size and typical of restaurants located in the 1st district (tourist area).

Delicious food, large portions and great service. We loved the place so much that we ended up eating there during most of our stay in Vienna. I definitely recommend going here.

I would give this place five out of five as the food is very nice but the waiters and waitresses are overly aggressive when it comes to tipping. On two occasions the waitress effectively said, 'We don't take a service charge so you should tip me.' Since when has tipping been an obligation? The manager must be a buffoon if he or she allows this kind of obnoxious practice to take place. The problem then becomes even more of an issue as the servers seem to believe a tip should come whether they are pleasant or not! Clearly, they think it's a right and expectation. Please stop harassing customers for tips! Do your job with a smile and they will come organically.

Food was good, we take a few times Veal Wiener Schnitzel, tasty breadcrumbs, fresh and we waited for about 15 minutes but the food was hot, prepared for us, if you choose a table inside you can see the kitchens and chefs cooking on a regular basis. But nevertheless, I enjoyed the food I ordered as well as the dessert. We were there on Christmas eve, 24Dec, and they were thankfully available. The service was great as well, the server was sensitive and very much aware of his area and what the diners needed. We were seated near the stairs going down. What made the atmosphere here to be only 3 waz because of the toilet. The bin was full of toilet papers & nobody tended to it, and was smelly. That's the only downside. Other than that, I'm here to eat and I enjoyed the food and the dining service.

We stopped by for lunch. The popular wiener schnitzel and potato salad were the best so far. 16€ for this dish. On Sunday night we came again for some drinks and downstairs we were surprised with live music. Everyone was dancing and feeling good. We really enjoyed the time spend here. Average place with average food. We ordered Vienna breakfast where we got two buns of bread two pieces of ham and cheese + jam and butter cube. Waitress forget about eggs and brought it after we finished our meal. Egg was hard boil not soft boil how it should be. I don't recommend this place. For sure you can find much better place to eat in this beautiful city.

Staff speaks English, the menu has a bit for everyone, from different European cuisines, and the service was fast and prompt, despite visiting on Christmas Eve at rush hour. Prices were OK given the location. The spare ribs were delicious, tender and falling off the bone and the apfelstrudel with the vanilla sauce one of the best I've eaten.
