I surprised my partner with a booking here for his 30th birthday and it did not disappoint. We are massive foodies, and the experience as a whole was incredible from start to finish. The food was breathtaking, the wine pairings were perfect and the attention to detail impeccable. To finish the evening off, they brought out the most delicious cake for my partner and made him feel really special. It’s all we could talk about today. 5 courses was enough and we eat a lot of food when we’re out. Would 100% recommend.

Amazing fine-dining/Michelin restaurant. The food is fantastic and the service is impeccable. Each dish is brought with a small card detailing each ingredient, which is a really nice touch for a Restaurant Gastronomique. I especially love the fact that you can freely chose anything from the menu and that it includes many complimentary tidbits (amuse-bouche, petits-fours, homemade chocolate for home...). The Sommelier was extremely elegant and even offered a sip of wine to my girlfriend, who didn't go with the full 7-course menu and thus skipped a couple of dishes. 5/7 course menu is 99€/135€, wine pairing is 64€/80€ respectively. Below is the detailed description of each photographed dish: Faux scallop mushroom with soy pearls; Quail liver with hazelnut, green asparagus & rhubarb; Asparagus Ragout with Oscietra Caviar, sorrel oil & dried egg yolk in a beurre black sauce; Pikeperch with seaweed, cucumber & juniper relish; Glazed crayfish with roasted black pudding, orange gel, radish salad & cabbage rolls; Mangalica pork loin, smoked eel, celery purée, roasted bacon-plum roll & grilled young leek; Lamb in a "Vedouvan" sauce, confied carrots, finger limes & Pak Choi; Black currant-vinegar sorbet, sorrel mousse, poppy seeds, sorrel tea & faux walnut; Pink pepper ice cream & Zweigelt kombucha, hazelnut cake, Cauliflower fungus in tarragon & Muscovado sugar crumble.

Wow. It is hard to describe this dining experience in words. We had the degustation and it was like a journey for the taste buds. We were greeted and seated and given these delicious starters and a refresher towel moments after we were seated before we even saw the menu. With the tasting menu you had to choose a couple of dishes to leave out depending on your taste. Each dish was amazing and the service was simply outstanding. I would recommend Apron! The take home hand made chocolate with the night’s menu on it was a beautiful touch. Thank you

Been to many Michelin plated and star in Europe, so far the most disappointing by service, where the food is acceptable. I'm just so surprised it has one star. 1) Ordered a local grape variety, Saint Laurent, I could hear, the head waiter or the sommelier, the tall gentleman was making fun of it with the rest of the team of how I said it and the team laughed with him, very arrogant. A huge minus already. Regardless whether my pronunciation is right or wrong, making fun of the customer out loud, at the extent where he can hear it, is unacceptable whether you are a Michelin or not. Already uncomfortable. 2) at first, culteries were given, after the 2nd course, gave food first then cutlery, when it was the dessert, gave us the food, the tall waiter with the beard completely forgot the cutlery and had me asking him to get it. With not a sincere apologies. 3) everytime water was being poured, the tall waiter with the beard, always forget to open the lid, not once twice or three times. It really just shows the lack of energy or passion in his service or pure ignorance or arrogance. You don't really need think much, If the tap is open or not, you just have to pay attention to see, but clearly it was not the case, 0 attention was given almost. 4) had to ask water when the water glass empty, toward the end of the meal, before paying the bill, when the same gentleman came by already 2 times to our table. Maybe he just expected us to leave? 5) asked for tips 🥴😂 come on. 6) again, detail, the idea of presenting the ingredients on a little card is good, but first course already, gave the wrong side as there was English and German. The devil is in the detail, Not a Michelin experience, not even plate. very dark, lack of attention in service, food is okay, passable for Michelin, other than the very dry bread with bacon and overly salted homemade sourdough. Service, is horrific.

By far the best restaurant I had until now. Some highlights: butter candle (yes!), service (napkin nicely reshaped whilst in the bathroom), very nice selection of wines, after dessert “tree” and little cards to remind you what you are eating. Food was as amazing as the service. We will be back!

Overall very solid Michelin experience, they're definately making a push for their second star! They had the right combination of delicious food, high end ingredients, and creativity. They served a generous amount of food where I left full after the 5 course meal. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was good as well.

First high dining experience and we were skeptical. But the wonderful staff and chefs and Apron turned us into major fans. The entire experience was incredible. From the "from the chef" starters, then the 7-course menu, to the after dinner "sweets" every dish was beautiful and tasted divine. I was especially enamored with the duck breast. I never knew it could melt in your mouth! We also had wine by the glass pairing and our waiters never missed a mark. All in all an absolute life changing dining experience.

If you think Vienna is nothing more than Weiner Schnitzel, then think again! We had a great experience at Apron. The food was great (dishes were either "good",or "wow"), presentation was beautiful and the service - superb. What's more, the wines were very reasonably priced, and at least the St. Laurent bottle we selected was excellent!

Wow! What an amazing experience. Totally understand why it got their Michelin star. It was my friend's first time at a Michelin restaurant, and what a great choice for a first experience for her. the staff was extremely nice and helpful, and when we had a hard time choosing our courses they were more then helpful, and their recommendation was on point with every course. we chose the 7 course dinner, but we actually got about 10 dishes, with each of them tasting and feeling better than the previous one, with the cherry on top of the evening at the end, the KOBE beef (graded 5A+), which felt like a cloud in the mouth. we were there for about 4 hours and didn't want the evening to end. such an amazing journey of food :) Would definitely recommend and maybe even come again in the future.

Certainly a night to remember. The service we received was like no other. The team went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable dining experience. The food was exceptional as well. I highly recommend a visit to Apron if you ever visit Vienna.

It is a wonderful experience about both taste and vision, I recommend everyone to come. There is only one thing I think could be better: explain how to eat it more clearly (some meals we feel confused how to eat it, and mostly, there is no problem

One of the best restaurants, including a lot of Michelin starred restaurants, I have been to. Creative, playful, yet with full of substance. Absolutely recommended.

Thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience at Apron. The way that the menu is structured and each plate is presented was very special. The beverage pairing was a nice mix of local and some French/Spanish standards as well. The service was also on point and each staff member was friendly and spoke well of each dish. I will definitely come back on my next trip to Vienna.

We took the five course menu. It was wonderful with many choices. Everything was delicious. The butter candle is ingenious. The service was excellent and warm. My glasses were never empty. The sommelier was very nice. I wanted to go back but unfortunately, they had to close the evening I had reserved because of technical issues.

Good food presentation for 1 star restaurant. While we noted your creativity and being food-innovative in certain plates, we think it would be better to make sure that all plates you served tasted wonderful. Less complimentary dishes with quality is definitely better than almost ten complimentary.

The staff provided the best service. The restaurant is just right there 2 mins walk from the tram Karlzplatz. Many free beautiful nice appetizers included in the courses menu, WORTH it 😋

Superb restaurant! The food was delicious, the flavours and cooking techniques were all very well thought out...hats of to the chef. The service that accompanied the food was next level....funny, welcoming, thoughtful and very attentive to the guest. This restaurant has no faults, I highly recommend the 7 course menu to anyone that appreciates food and would love to experience a special moment that they'll never forget.

Overall, it was a truly delicious meal. There were a few truly memorable dishes, like the Kobe beef, gambarro rosso, and trout, but others were less so (duck, pumpkin). Staff did an excellent job accommodating dietary restrictions (gluten allergy). Felt over-priced compared to other Michelin-starred meals we've had in Europe and the U.S., and did not feel unique to Vienna.

My first michelin star experience and it was spectacular, I had a wonderful time, food was amazing and the waiters were really nice, wasn't bored a single second. Highly recommended!

Wonderful experience! They are very good with flavors (black olive ice cream?!) and presentations that really delight at every course. The many compliments, some of which were better than the main courses, were an add to the joy. The service was impeccable. We would come here again.

Absolutely exquisite. Have been to several michellin restaurants in different countries but this was by far the best. In terms of taste, creativity and artistic presentation. Not one menu in the seven course disappointed.

Apron was my first Michelin Restaurant experience and was fantastic! I was always the kind of person asking if this kind of dinners are worth it and believe me, they are. It’s not only a dinner but a wonderful experience in which you are to discover new textures and flavors. Dishes look small but by the end of the 5 menu course I was really full, almost couldnt finish dessert. I was very happy to see that they took seriously my allergies and tried to make it work for me. As a plus, we got a birthday cake as surprise. Overall an amazing dinner and experience. I can only recommend this place :)

We had high expectations for a Michelin star restaurant. The dishes were between "blaah" and great, we felt some dishes were designed technique first instead of flavor first. For example in the first kitchens greeting the green "maki" was dull tasting. Some of the portions were too tiny to get the flavors from them. Zander and truffle was great (a pinch of salt would have made it perfect). The cheese cake as the dessert was dry and the tasteless pumpkin flowers at the top did not help. The service was a bit self-important, and feedback was not received well. The dining room was quiet and beautifully designed. The 5 dishes were really small, luckily there was bread and we weren't starving. The wine paring was excellent.

Really enjoyed our meal there, creative, interesting dishes, great service and overall fantastic. We only did the 5 courses but they include a couple of extra so it was more than enough. Waiting staff very knowledgeable and friendly. Nice modern setting, tables weren’t cramped in like some places. One of the best meals we have had, loved it and would highly recommend.

Superb service, great and tasty food and wines. 7 course was little too much for me, but ohterwise it was delicious. Hamachi was my absolute favorite.

Absolutely exceeded our expectations! Was important for us that they open at 6pm and have not so big 5 course menu. Got a lot of compliments so in the end it was still big;) the service was very nice and the food was extraordinary. Very beautiful and witty. I loved the butter candle for example. Beautiful interior, lightning.

Very high end and high quality fine dining. We brought a large (15+) group there for a business dinner and everyone was blown away by the interior, cuisine, wine, and service. Even with some last-minute food restrictions (from the guests), the staff was able to prepare incredible 5+ course meals that impressed and delighted everyone - with the multiple amuse-bouche and desserts, we lost count of the dishes! Highly recommended for both business or pleasure.

Wow what an incredibly special night. I took my husband here for our 20th anniversary. We ordered the the 5 course menu and we were so very full by the end of the evening. The food was full of little surprises, which was great. There was nothing over the top or unnecessary about the presentation and everything tasted amazing. The staff were wonderful, attentive and professional. The staff even acknowledged our anniversary with a small cake at the end of the meal. The entire experience was so wonderful, thank you. The only criticism I have, is that I was very surprised to see that both mine and my husband's chairs had multiple stains on them. This was not something I expected to see at a michelin star restaurant. Still, I would gladly go back!

Excellent food and service. Label rouge salmon starter and fig dessert are standouts. Pike perch and mascarpone dessert were a bit more bland. Great care with the plating. Limited selection of local rose wines. Impressive number of complimentary dishes served during dinner, making the dinner a 3+ hour exciting adventure.
