The food was of poor quality compared to the price, it was normal, even the grilled chicken pieces were not marinated and had no salt at all. I can only say that the restaurant is beautiful and worth drinking beer. We asked the waiter to sit at the table by the river, but our request was easily rejected because there were two and the tables were for four people. But the restaurant was not crowded and the tables were empty. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Service is great and atmosphere was also good, would be a lot better if they install fans for the summer. Food was definitely not bad but the price can't be justified. 9 euro for an Eiskafee is outrageous.

Nice riverside restaurant with a beautiful view. The waiters were attentive and friendly and could accommodate our wishes. The three meals were all delicious while the size is rather small and rather high prices. For the whole experience definitely worth it.

This place is beyond amazing! There’s literally nothing to complain about. We came for an early dinner without a reservation. We had a grilled salmon with rosemary potatoes and the famous spareribs. Both dishes were super delicious and fresh. And of course I can’t forget to mention the magical atmosphere. The place is by the Danube river. It’s very calm with fresh air. I would definitely recommend this place. One of my favourite spots in Vienna this summer!! It is a MUST! ❤️

This restaurant offers a delightful outdoor dining experience with high-quality food. I stumbled upon it by chance. The Schnitzel here, a dish ubiquitous in Austria, tasted exceptional. The pleasant weather only enhanced the experience. Thank you! :)

Great staff super friendly service quick and right ! Food is great too, if you seat next to window will have amazing view ! I have ribs very tender meat and crispy skin French fries is homemade and perfect for me (usually I don’t like fries). Beef soup with liver dumpling soup a bit salty but still tasty. Apple strudel is the best I have in Vienna, very crispy and soft fresh apple inside, the best I ever have, coffee was surprise me also better then some cafe I visited If you travel in Vienna 100% should visit here

Fantastic local food, great location. I went in Fall so we couldn’t enjoy the outside terrace but it must be wonderful in summer. One of our guests hat to wait for us (since we were running a bit late) and they were wonderfully accommodating, he enjoyed a hot cup of tea outside next to a fire! The food was excellent and the waiters very attentive and nice. I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to everyone seeking authentic Austrian food and a wonderful atmosphere!

This might be a lovely place to dine and was a perfect day for a nice lunch with a beautiful view but the service was terrible. We were given a menu then we were invisible. Other parties that turned up after us were served immediately. At this stage we had waited for some time. This is not the kind of service I expect from a venue of this calibre. My thoughts were, if this is what I was going to expect for the lunch, I was not going to stay to experience it, so we walked out.

It is not my first time in this place, and surely it will not be the last, this restaurant is definitely an experience to repeat.

Staff is so friendly that you reach the point of wondering whether you are in Vienna or not... Food is extremely good as well, the views towards the Alte Donau waters make it such a special experience! A bit aside off the beatten track, this is like an island of beautiful views, tasty food and excellent service. Would return there for sure - and with great pleasure

Excellent food and service, a bit more expensive than the average in Vienna, but well worth it. Highly recommended for its shady veranda with view over the water during summer. Well advised to book in advance for dinner.

I've been there a couple of times but have never been disappointed. It's always a great spot for a drink, especially in summer. The food is tasty, typical, and the menu changes regularly. Waiters are friendly and helpful as well.

Excellent relaxing atmosphere by the lake with a great view. Excellent Service. We were treated with a superb 3 course meal starting with Black Tiger Prawns with spiced olive oil and herbs. For the main, we had the grilled Stein Butt Filet cooked to perfection and finally finished with an Apricot Doughnut served with raspberry sauce and fresh berries. The experience was awesome away from the bustling city.

Best Restaurant at the Old Danube. The prices for the meals are fair for the quality and the portions. High quality Viennese cuisine. Very friendly and helpful staff. A great selection of Gins. And a wonderful view of the Danube right next to the water.

Nice old fashion german restaurant close to the river Danube. The staff is polite and supprisingly fast. We got there without reservation but still got a table in no time. After 10 min of the order, we got the meals. The taste and the portion of the dishes were just fine!

The food and the view was excellent - a great photo spot as well! But there were so many bees around the place. The bee even stung my hubby's lip, and the waiter was so helpful - he brought and put cut onion on his lips, and it got much better! In terms of food, I preferred fish and seafood set over the ribs. Overall, I enjoyed the lunch with the view.

Very pleasant place for lunch before going to the island nearby. We enjoyed this family outdoor vibe very much. The food are great taste also.

Nice restaurant with very cozy atmosphere! The waiting time is quite short, outside area is awesome, so as inside. The prices are not the lowest but tolerable. The restaurant management should think of exchanging the lights as they permanently blink, it's irritating. Cards are accepted with no problem.

The menu does not have a large variety of foods, but it is definitely delicious! Wines are also great. Friendly staff, good service and a very nice location on the Danube shore.

Great service, nice view. The krone vom duroc schwein is a must have. Totally recommended.
