Worst chinese food with worst service! We checked the review before coming here, 4.0 for this place is not fair! They are just not justifying the place, it’s so beautiful but food is worst than any street side noodles place. Please don’t waste your time and money on this place. The picture of the food is the wrong dish we received which was Luke warm Total disappointment.

This place is astonishing!!! We ordered a bunch of traditional Chinese food (e.g. Beijing duck and pork belly). Everything was fresh, well prepared and insanely delicious!!! The only setback was the speed of the serving, (we were sitting in the terrace) but when I entered inside, I realised that there are a lot more people sitting inside. Highly recommended if you want something special in Vienna!!!

The restaurant itself looks great, and the staff is really nice. They all speak english so that’s a huge plus. Thats about the pros. The food was terrible. We ordered vegetarian dumplings with soy sauce. The dumplings were apparently old and not freshly cooked. The soy sauce wasnt even a soy sauce, it had a strange aftertaste. Tables outside were clean, but the railing above the small lake was full of spiders and spiderwebs. The way the waiter handed us our cutlery was also kind of rude, with bare hands and he even touched it all over.

Our expectations were set high, but we ended up deeply disappointed. The environment and atmosphere were underwhelming, the food was below average, the prices were excessively high, and the service was poor and extremely slow. I would not expect this experience from a Chinese restaurant that claims to be one of the best in Europe.

Owner explained patiently every single dish. Interestingly, one finds a menu for average Joe and a menu for Chinese. Food was OK. Decoration was great. The restaurant is located in a wonderful park. Ideal for kids and elderly.

This was the worst Chinese food l have eaten. We had crispy duck and chicken chopped and a mixed vegetable dish. The duck was so dry l sent it back. They brought the same dish back with a fee new pieces on top, but it was old dry meat. The service was terrible. Ordered rice for chop suey, which came too late to eat it with the dish. Extra drinks we ordered didn't come at all and it was 75 euro for 3. Horrible food. For such a big restaurant, they should improve the quality of their food and service. They should have given a refund, or at least a discount for this tragedy.

The food is good, but we have waited too long between meals, maybe they forgot about us.The waiters were nice but we still had to wait more than 1 hour from the moment we got our soup and until they brought the main course.

Totally overpriced. It is much more expensive than other Chinese restaurants (and even Viennese ones), yet the food is of the same quality, looks exactly the same, tastes the same, or maybe even worse. Are they paying for the good reviews? Believe me: it is really nothing special! The waiters are robotic. Not rude, but not friendly either, and even impatient. Go to any other Chinese restaurant, be better treated, eat the same food, in the same quality (or better), but pay half what you would pay here.

My absolute favourite chinese restaurant in Vienna. The building alone is worth visiting, but you should not shy away from the food either. The range in dishes is huge and reaches from adapted european versions to authentic sichuan dishes. The staff is well organised, friendly and fun. Prices are fair for the package you receive.

Beautiful Chinese restaurant. We were a big group of people and shared started and main courses, that was great and all food was very delicious, from not spicy to spicy hot. Friendly service and quite Asian atmosphere. Will be back definitely. Recommended!

Nice atmosphere but food is mediocre. I took spring rolls, duck, white rice and a glass of white wine. Simple choice for simple dinner. Wine was not cold enough, spring rolls were not edible, duck was ok but a bit dry. The white rice was fine. The waiter was quite rude when I said that spring rolls are not edible (they were too oily and with some strange stuff inside). He said that everyone likes it except me. No sorry, no smile, like it’s my fault that I don’t like a terribly cooked dish. But he said that he will change it. The second portion was the same oily stuff but not spring rolls. I love Chinese restaurant and Chinese food, but not in this particular place

This review is for a takeaway order due to the pandemic. Excellent online ordering system. Easy pick-up and payment. The food was....not very good. We ordered 7 dishes to try some of the dim sum as well as Mapo tofu and two soups. The Mapo tofu was quite good. Everything else was a disappointment. The spicy & sour soup was bland...neither spicy nor sour. The wanton soup was also bland and had no complex flavors or umami that I expect from a good wanton soup. The dim sum was also bland. The chicken wantons were stale and the wrappers far too thick to eat comfortably. I give this restaurant 2 stars for the food and 1 additional star for the good service. If this is a true representation of their food quality, I imagine that many of the glowing reviews are influenced by the gorgeous building and gardens...something that we couldn't experience during this phase of the pandemic.

I visit the restaurant every once in a while and the food quality is always very good. The ambient is also very lovely. It's a very nice dining experience in the Donaupark. The last time I had a spectacular pork meat dish, certainly one of the best I ever had.

Sichuan style Chinese restaurant located in a magnificent open garden area. Wide range of authentic dishes - the mapo tofu was one of the best I've had so far. Service was quick and to the point, and the evening left us stuffed and happy. Prices are on the expensive side though, so it might be best to save a visit for a special occasion.

I enjoyed my lunch at Sichuan, mostly because of the beautiful Chinese garden, but the food was disappointing. The restaurant's location is spectacular; the restaurant within a gorgeous walled garden at the edge of the Donaupark. If you can get a table outside in the garden, it's a beautiful spot to eat. I had the lunch special which cost 10 Euro including dessert. The starter was "spicy cucumber salad" which was fine. The main course was stir-fried duck with vegetables & steamed rice. The duck had been extremely overcooked; it had already been cooked before it was stir-fried and recooked. Since it had been cooked so many times and for so long, it had a tough, dry, unpleasant texture, which is unfortunate; I'd expect it to be succulent. The vegetables in the dish were fine, but lacking in flavour. Thankfully, they provided soy sauce & chili sauce that I could use to season the food. The dessert was deep-fried banana. Lychee juice was fine (3.60 Euro) Service was good.

Unbelievable food, and brilliant staff. Staff spoke English, German and Chinese. We had a lovely meal in the Chinese Garden, a tranquil setting for a brilliant bit of grub. 10/10

We ordered a duck with was really dry and covered with some sweet sauce, the bamboo was tasteless and covered with wird orange color sauce, the dim sum filling with duck was quite ok but the dumping was too thick and tasteless, lamm with veges quite ok but fatty, the dish with seafood was quite ok but also fatty I hoped that waterspinach would be good because it is simple dish but it was covered with lot's of fat that stayed in the mounth. So if You are a big fan of Chinesse quisine You would be probably satisfied but if You look for taste and something more You need to find better place.

The entrance garden is beautiful and the restaurant itself it's nicely decorated. Food wise, we enjoyed dumplings and spicy octopus. Overall a good place to go...and afterwards you can go for a walk to the park nearby.

The meats were swell prepared and all the items we tried were good. They weren’t amazingly delicious but not bad either. The prices were also very high for the quality. It has the best ambiance and environment of all the Chinese restaurants I’ve been to. Go here for the ambiance and not the food.

Wonderful ambience and a truly magnificent garden! While the food is good, it isn't anything special, therefore the price feels a bit steep. I'd recommend to go for the business lunch menu - sit outside and enjoy the wonderful garden!

Fantastic well appointed restaurant. The gardens and ponds are superb. Food was great and came quickly with friendly waiters. Ignore the negative reviews, this is a really great restaurant.

The food was delicious. There was a long wait for the food and the drinks... LIKE AN HOUR. The drinks still haven't arrived and the food started coming. Had to go and check with another waiter for the drinks after our waiter didn't do anything about it. The place itself is really beautiful. Overall it may be better with more experienced staff member.

VERY, VERY expensive restaurant for that level of food and service. We were the group of 7 and the waiter decided not to write anything down and remember it. At the end we didn’t get 4 dishes. I have tried much more tastier Chinese restaurants. I don’t recommend this place!

The only thing going for this place is the setting. The food was terrible. I’m a big fan of Chinese food and have had it at many places throughout the years and this was by far one of the worst. The staff were rude and the price was far too expensive for the food we weee served.
