I really wanted to visit the library, it's accessible through a hallway and a very old flight of stairs. The place is vast and absolutely stunning. The ceiling is really something to behold. One of my favourite places in Vienna, for sure.

There is so much to see, so many details frescoes, so may very old books, ornate book shelves, statues and more. When the library is open again, make sure you pay the modest entrance fee to visit the State Hall. I am not sure if photography is allowed during the normal admission but our memory is probably the best film, specially for things that we choose to remember.

It is one huge room with beautiful architecture, but you cannot approach the books or visit the upstairs corridors and it was full of people. It lacked soul.
