IAEA building host many international state member meeting. The office and parking areas are secured and has public mass transport such as buses and subway. Direct access to airport could be by bus, subway, or taxi about 1 hour. Downtown of Vienna could be accessed easily about 30 minutes. Vacation or trip to IAEA during pandemic could be risk to health, however many people came to the building from many countries around the world. Surrounding has beautiful nature for photo scene.

A relatively affordable, and somewhat interesting guided tour lasting approximately 1 hour. I opted for the tour in English and while our guide was excellent, the facility itself does not lend itself to the most interesting tour. The main conference room and observers rooms are neat, but are nothing special to look at. The bulk of the tour consisted of looking at conference-style marketing displays in various hallways. Some were interesting, others were not. The tour presumes you know essentially nothing about the UN so if you already know the basics of the organization don't expect to come away with a lot of new knowledge.

The United Nations is an international organization founded in 1945. It is currently made up of 193 Member States. The mission and work of the United Nations are guided by the purposes and principles contained in its founding Charter. Its nice place to see in Uno City ...

It is very nice to be able to see how the United Nations work and do a lot for our planet. The guided tour was good, with some nice sneak peaks behind the scenes and a good explanation of what the UN does! It really is worth a visit! Easily accessible with the subway.

The UN visit does bring us a different feeling for Vienna. This is a city which is shouldered with world peace mission. The guide tour will bring you a detailed, interactive tour to almost everywhere. Photos are allowed to take inside. A helpful reminder: if you miss your booked timing slot, don’t leave with regret. You can wait for next secession (if there is) directly without additional pay. Plus, the UN 🇺🇳 souvenirs are 😊 nice.

Strict entrance system but it's reasonable. Lots of conference room. There is a bar and a big restaurant with delicoius meals but the menu is not so wide. Every building level there is a buffet so you don't have to walk miles to drink a coffe or eat something. The staff are polite and kind. The whole structure of the building is a bit confusing and hard to remember.

Great tour, my students enjoyed every part of it. Most impressive for them was to look into an actual conference room in live operation.

Houses several UN offices and agencies. Restricted access, guided tours available with prior appointment. Multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, meaningful and lively!

I've been there 3 years ago in 2018 for the We Are Developers conference, this is a very modern and big space, well connected with the rest of the city, there are lot of large convention rooms perfect for conferences. Nearby is full of big buildings and skyscraper.

Absolutely amazing place to be, and very good visitor management! The guided tours are every day (10 Euro per person) at 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm and 3.30pm. Being "outside" Austria (VIC, like an embassy, is international jurisdiction) while in Vienna was quite interesting. The tour guide was warm, and obviously quite knowledgeable. It was good to experience an international UN HQ; I am not certain that in the Nairobi HQ you can just show up at the gate and pay to tour inside. I will find out!

Security and registration was very smooth. Very polite security personnel. The venue is great for big conferences and also has various breakout rooms for side events.

I took a one-hour guided tour of the UN complex in Vienna. Our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject matter and gave a good overview of the work of the UN in Vienna. Photos are allowed during the tour but not of staff members or meetings. Tickets can be booked online and cost €15. Please remember to bring your ID/Passport as it is required at check-in.

The VIC is home to the UN and other international agencies. Vienna is already a very diverse city but you will feel you are truly in an international environment in the halls of VIC. It is not easy to access the area. Going inside felt like going through airport security controls - bag x-rays, body x-rays. Remember to put your electronics in a separate tray and remove all metal in your body before getting scanned. It is my first time to be in a UN building in Europe. The conference hall that I went to for the Bridges for Cities event is huge, very UN in nature with all the designated seats for UN member countries. The conference hall temperature was not too hot nor too cold, just right. In each seat, there are those earpiece devices in each seat that one can access when the panel sessions are not in languages that you can understand. There is also a plug good for one device. The cafeteria is truly great. A wide selection of food - from Austrian fare to international fare, vegetarian options, healthy options, etc - and at very reasonable prices.

It is a great international convention center. The staff working there are kind and polite. They were willing to help me solve my problem when I was there. Except the coffee shop staff at the 7th C building, because they were rude and talked behind the customers’ back. The thing I like the most is the cafeteria area. It has variety of cuisine and the food price are not expensive when comparing to other place in Vienna.

Visited here and went on the 1 hour long UN Tour. Our guide Frederika from Slovakia was truly excellent and very knowledgeable. We all enjoyed it and found it very interesting (Dad, Mum and children aged 11 and 7). Very reasonable as well - €15 for adults and €7 for children. Good little shop as well where we purchased the obligatory fridge magnet! Easy to get to on the U1. If you are in Vienna add it to the list of things to do 🇦🇹 🇺🇳

Great place to be at for modern architecture fans, such as me. The road to there on the bridge above the Donau from which you can watch the big buildings was the best part.

1st class guided tour!! Nice int'l environment. Great cosmopolitan flair for 'tiny' Vienna (I can say that I am Austrian 😉)

City of the people who are working for the Nations all round of the World. Many important things have been done. In some of the cases it’s not so easy to achieve the results. But anyway - important City.

Very clean and calm city. Unfortunately I went in a period with a lot of construction sites and also the Danube Tower was closed for maintenance.

I am Dr. Ihtisham Waris, it was good to see things there, staff were nice. I would like to say that as a visitor I was expecting to see more, one hour is not enough, secondly building is quiet old, it need to be construct a new structure

The visit was great for people to have better understanding of how UN is structure and what do they do, plus how relevant it is related to our life. The trip is definitely educational and motivating for students as well. I definitely recommend you to visit

Absolutely amazing! Its a must see when in Vienna. Also very important to be there like 30 min before your guided tour starts. That's because one needs to go through airport like security and get official permit which takes about 15min so you don't want to be late for the tour. Just bear that in mind!

Vienna International Center, the United Nations building in Vienna, is exactly what you expect it to be. I find it very hard to write a review about it because it's the UN, nothing is really going to surprise you. I went with school technically and we had a classroom-like information session which was cool except for the fact that my professor scheduled it during nap time... And the room was really nicely air conditioned... And the seats were really comfy... So I fell asleep at the UN. Oops. But yeah it's really cool to see all the flags and the architecture was beautiful. Schedule a trip to see the UN in Vienna but be more awake than me!

Nice clean and professional. Security is excellent. Cafeteria crowded but great variety. Not in city center but metro stop is at front door. No credit cards so make sure you have cash.

Needs more, better quality, lower prices coffee! A bit of a rabbit warren, very hard to navigate.

An amazing opportunity of visiting UNOV and best ever experience of collaborating with experts from around the globe

We arrived rather too early for our tour, or there had been a muddle-up on booking. You need to allow time to get your passport and your possessions checked on arrival, and tags issued - about 15-20 minutes. Our tour guide spoke excellent English and tailored the tour to the group. We saw the iconic displays of all UN members' flags, the design of the buildings, a conference room as you see on TV, a display of space-related ephemera and a little information about the IAEA. My son had hoped to be able to buy an IAEA pin badge (only available in their on-site shop) but the shop was closed for lunch. Not their fault, but the Kaisermühlen station is only running trains outbound; so we had a strange Google maps wander back over the Danube.

VIC is a pleasant site for meetings and conferences. Happy we could hold meetings in person. UN procedures seem very appropriate, although the cafeteria remains a question.
