Most of the stay was amazing. The interior of the hotel is beautiful. The location is also great. It’s right next to the stadtpark as well as the old town. It’s just a few minutes walk to St. Stephens cathedral. The rooms are very beautiful and beds comfy. Most of the staff was also wonderful and extremely professional and helpful. The only issue was that in one of the rooms I booked the ac was broken. When I told the front desk the first night, this lady that said she was the manager on duty came by the room and told me there is no ac only heater, and you just open the windows when it’s cooler out. However, I had two rooms booked and the ac was definitely working in one of them. The website also says that the rooms have ac. The problem with opening a window was that the room was right above the entrance to the hotel so it would immediately smell of cigarettes when opened. Either there really isn’t ac or she was just lying to me. The one room stayed around 75 degrees Fahrenheit the whole time and felt a bit humid and muggy so it was hard to sleep, but the other room was nice and cool. Otherwise, the rest of the hotel and most of the staff was amazing.

Date of stay 13th -17th December Where to start, if this hotel was a 3 or 4 star I would if given an overall 4 star review but as it is advertised as a 5 Star I have down grade it to 3 Star review (trust me the hotel I’d definitely not a 5 Star). The good points are we arrived early at 1.00 pm and are room was ready (good start we thought), also the location is very good and the breakfast was good. Then again at close on £500 per night I do expect it to be. Staff are also Okay (but only okay) none of them went out of their way to make are stay special , they were basically doing the job they are paid to do and no more. The bad points, on arrival we were told at reception that we not only had to pay £1900 for the room (which was expected) but we also had to pay 50% deposit up front £950 before we could get the room keys and this would be refunded at the end if our stay providing we didn’t damage anything (seriously I was wife my wife and 10 year old daughter) I felt we were being treated like vandals before we checked in. BE AWARE you will need thus extra cash in your bank or available on your credit card or you are sleeping on the benches outside. Now we paid for an executive room on level 7 with a park view. We got to the room and no park view just a view of a side street, went to reception and told them we had the wrong room and showed them are booking clearly showing PARK VIEW they basically told us tough luck there are no park view rooms so jog on (no apologies or discount). To be perfectly honest the reception staff over our stay were piss poor. Other issues included screaming babies in the executive level, spa staff were very unhelpful, waiting staff were typically Austrian with poor attitudes and long waiting times to get served. On our last night we had booked a nice meal at a good restaurant which we had to cancel thanks to the hotel, we got back to the hotel at 4.00pm to relax and get ready only to find the room wasn’t cleaned and no towels, again I went to reception to try to get the room cleaned so we could go out (finally got the room cleaned at 6.00pm which meant we didn’t have to to get ready to go out. Again no apologies not even a discount on the hotel restaurant which I personally think is the least they could do. Overall opinion if this hotel is don’t waste your money, there a plenty of other real 5 star hotels in Vienna that are a similar cost, stay at those and you won’t feel disappointed and overcharge like we do.

For our romantic getaway we chose the beautiful and classic city of Vienna. To top it off we couldn’t have made a better selection of hotel. We stayed at the Vienna Marriott Hotel for two nights and we wished it could’ve been more nights. Everything was perfect. The staff was very thoughtful and nice, the common areas are beautifully decorated, we loved to relax in the indoor pool and eat the delicious breakfast! To complete all of this we stayed at an amazing suite that seemed taken out of a commercial given it’s pristine state and attention to the details! We can’t wait to come back to Vienna and to the Marriott!

Amazing location, in the city center close to sights and cafes, shopping streets etc. The building itself is beautiful, the rooms are extremely clean and well maintained, the service is impressive. All the staff are exceptionally friendly and professional. Great variety for buffet breakfast with live cooking station, champagne and healthy options. All in all, had a wonderful stay, probably the best Marriott hotel I've ever stayed at, they are beyond expectations. Would be happy to return anytime!

Very good hotel in the heart of Vienna, close to the small park and CAT railway station. The bed in the room is really big and comfortable, there are enough towels and shampoo in the bathroom. The cooler is a bit noisy and you have to turn it off to have a good sleep. Breakfasts are excellent, fresh and tasty, but coffee is really disgusting. Swimming pool is not really for swimming, it is too short and crowded: family with children like spend time there

This is one of the best hotels in Vienna. It has rally spacious comfy rooms , the beds are super comfortable with a TV and a minibar , and a beautiful bathroom. The staff is really friendly and helpful a I liked it . The breakfast has a big variety and is open till 10:30 . The location is great too, it is not more than 20 minutes walk away from all of the important and popular places . It has 2 U(metro) stations around it . I really enjoyed my stay . I recommend 👌.

The hotel is clean and modern with a gym and spa. It also has a couple of bars and restaurants in the lobby including a sports bar. The Cascade Bar has live music on certain nights of the week, definitely worth a visit for a drink after dinner. The hotel concierge (I think her name was Vanessa) was absolutely brilliant and managed to get me tickets to the state opera even though tickets were sold out on the official website. She also recommended a few restaurants which were all brilliant and marked the must see sights in Vienna on a map for me.

Arrived from a very early flight expecting to drop bags before being able to check-in much later, but the wonderful man at the check-in desk instead upgraded us to an executive floor room so we could access the room immediately. Very friendly and excellent service. Great start to our trip.

I had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel. Polite and friendly staff. Excellent location! The center is a walking distance reachable and away from the crowds. The room was spacious and had a view which was lovely. I just wish that there was a coffee machine in the room and a bidet in the bathroom!

Excellent location. The trams and Big Bus Company stop right in front of the hotel. Check in was professional and courteous. Room was clean and spacious. The hotel itself is well maintained. All staff were friendly and always helpful. We arrived early and we're lucky to get checked in earlier than the usual check in time. We had a very pleasant 5 nights stay.

Stayed for a week in June for our family vacation and first visit to Austria. We were thrilled to get a room overlooking the park. I’m a light sleeper and was very happy how quiet the room was. Every staff interaction was great and you can tell they care about their guests. We were also very happy with the meals we ate in the restaurant. They have a very good daily selection of pastries. The interior design is well done with lots of fun lighting after dark. Would absolutely return.

The worst hotel I've ever stayed at! Mean, rude and unpleasant staff. First night we stayed in the room with not working power outlets. We asked to move to another room, and they told us yes, there's another room, please wait while its being cleaned and someone will come to move the luggage. After a few hours waiting no one came. I went to the front desk and nobody even knew about us moving to another room! Started all over again, found the room and were told not to worry about the luggage(they will move it from the old room to the new one). Came back later that night to the new room and no luggage was there! Apparently they delivered it to the wrong room number! Next morning breakfast I came a bit later than my husband and the person at the reception told me that someone already had breakfast using my room number. Got our hotel bill night before to save time next morning(paid in full, bo balance). Next morning they charging us for using bar! The front desk girl was super mean, she asked twice: are you sure you didn't use it? We told you no, one must be enough to understand. The rooms are pretty small and the hotel is very crowded. Will not recommend to stay here! Hilton Plaza is the same price range and much better and nicer in every aspect.

Had a wonderful stay in Vienna. Very centrally located(IMO) and amazing service. Special shout out to executive club staff Anna H for giving me a list of places frequented by locals, Ahmed for always greeting myself+family with a smile and going above and beyond in his service to us, as well as Magdalena from concierge for helping my family and I to secure a dinner reservation at a restaurant fully booked out for the next 3 days. All in all, a wonderful trip and will certainly be back soon!

This hotel has a beautiful lobby, an excellent Spa and Sauna (and the Sauna is actually hot, which is rare to find) and great service. The location is excellent as well, and is a very short walk to a number of locations in the city. My only complaint was the bed quality. It was hard to sleep on, and the bed was significantly less comfortable than, and below the standards of, a typical Marriott hotel. Usually with Marriott, the mattresses have a certainly minimum quality.

Very good location, nice american style breakfast(But need to diversify kinds of food). Interior, amenities, bed are also good. There are very crowded and may have waiting time for restaurant. The one uncomfortable thing was credit card withdrawal (pending) everyday. I don’t know why. Hope to improve one time deposit at Check In

Vienna Marriott is a fantastic place to stay at. The rooms are neat, clean and modern. Staff is extremely hospitable and offers solutions on their to problems we faced. To add to it, the hotel is conveniently located close to public transport and walkable distance from parts of the historic downtown walk. During our stay, we also had access to M-Lounge. The lounge has all day snacks and drinks but the star of the day is the evening happy hours and light snacks. We thoroughly enjoyed our evenings at M-Lounge. Highly recommend booking rooms with access to M-Lounge. Feedback on Marriott as a brand: I booked the hotel through Expedia since I it wouldn't show up as being available on Marriott's website. I was disappointed to learn later that Marriott would not only not give me any points for the stay, they also refused to give any "nights stayed" credit on my loyalty program.

This location is excellent however, last week I was in Vienna on business staying at a corporate apartment near the Vienna Marriott. I had a few hours to spare so I went to the Vienna Marriot, Marriott being a US Chain so I figured I'd ecounter US standards, so I asked for a workout and a massage. at 3pm I was told by the attendant that there was a massage available at 5pm, which I distinctly told the attendant to book for me and I will have a good workout in the meantime. I paid the fee and walked into the locker room. I found the locker room had a musky smell. I changed and went into the workout room, which was equipped ok, but again, smelled bad. Ventillation was bad and the machines felt grimy - they were definitely not cleaned for a while. I wiped off some machines and proceeded with my workout. The pool area seemed ok, so no real complaints there, nor in the sauna area. After my workout, I went to the shower in the men's locker area, which smelled badly of urine - I quickly backed off and used a shower in the sauna area. As I was preparing for my massage, I asked the attendant where I should wait for my massage, and I was told that he (the attendant) didn't book me a massage and there was no massage available! He said "sorry, it's a misunderstanding" and provided me a 10 euro coupon (for what, I'm not sure) I would have NEVER paid a fee just for a workout, as the Corporate Apt. provided a workout room - I came primarily for the massage, only to be extremely disappointed that the attendant gave my appintment to someone else! Extremely disappointed about the service and the facilities. This wasn't the first time I was disappointed by this hotel, but that's for another time. Bad service, substandard spa facilitied. I will definitely charge back the charge for the workout in the gym.

It was a good resting place for us during our stay in Vienna. Good location and comfortable bed. In particular, the manager at the lounge were very friendly, which made Vienna's image more lovely.

Great location and room (picture is my room view). Their service was below my expectations given that I’ve stayed in many Marriott hotels over the years. Their breakfast service is no different. At 10:30 am sharp, they started emptying the buffet without any warning while people were still entering and eating. To me that was very impolite and disrespectful.

One of the best hotels in Vienna - ideal location on the Ring with views of the Park. Walking distance to most of the attractions of Vienna. All rooms and suites have been recently renovated - sleek, contemporary, bright, warm, serene and very comfortable - proper renovation not just a 'refresh'. Club Lounge has also been completely renovated. Worth upgrading ! Great dining with a wide choice and variety. Service is faultless throughout the entire hotel - consistent, attentive, predictive and genuine. It is one of the very few hotels in Vienna with a swimming pool (indoor & heated) Much better than two of the other Marriott Intl luxury brands in Vienna.

Very new and clean decor/furniture, but the beds and pillows were not very comfortable. The shower water temperature did not regulate- it kept jumping from scalding to freezing. They charged us for breakfast even though we did not eat here, but took it off when we told them. The staff were very nice though and offered complimentary water/sparkling wine when we arrived. Decent location close to city centre and train station.

Everything was good, breakfast, room was ok, nothing special. But when we got there we were greeted by Manuel, he's good at his job, charismatic and helpful person. He made us feel welcome, and set us up for next day's adventures. Thank you!! ❤️

I can for sure recommend Marriott Vienna Hotel to everybody. Centrally located, beautiful spacious rooms, amazing comfortable mattress duvet and linens, top Spa with sauna, swimming pool and hamam to relax. On top of these top breakfast with so many options to choose from. But what always makes a difference is the staff. Here the staff was attentative smiling making you feel welcome. All the staff at the breakfast and the club lounge were professional and friendly and I would like to thank especially Wolfram for the walm welcome every morning. Last but not least the concierge lady Theresa If I m not mistaken is the best Marriott ambassador. With many recommendations for dining and very welcoming from the first day. Thank you and whenever I visit Vienna I will return back here

I am currently attending a meeting for four days. Today was the first day. The service just perfect. Very reach coffee breaks (deferent sandwiches, sweets, fresh juice and hot drinks). The lunch was also nice, very delicious starters contained deferent types of fresh salads, vegetables, seafood, and salmon), the main dishes were seafood, pasta, chicken, beef stakes and grilled vegetables. The overall environment is wonderful.

Amazing location with great view. Near the center. Professional and friendly staff starting from the concierge ending with the cleaning team. The rooms are spacious. The only problem in this area is that the parking lots are not free and better to pay it at the reception.

It is one of the best hotel in town however I believe it would need to be refreshed a bit It is comfortable and it delivers the right level of service as you would expect but not maybe not modern enough. Even in Wien a bit of fresh stylish touch would be nice

First they had to change our room because the room was dirty. The toilet seat had stains that the housekeeping said was normal because it was plastic. For me, that is not normal for a 4 or 5 star hotel and with the price they charge for a night is not acceptable. There was a door that connected to another room that was open, the lock was broken, the furniture inside my room had a stain like blood, the bathroom glass door had water stains and the bathroom glass door had fingerprints and hand stains. They moved us to another room but I am not happy with the cleanliness of this Marriott . My husband is a GOLD MEMBER and we are paying for outdated rooms, towels that are no longer white because they are so used, fingerprints on the bathroom mirrors, and a weird smell that I don't like here in this room or bathroom. (Like urine) or maybe is the carpet , Hotels don't use carpet anymore!!! Is better to avoid carpet in hotels due to allergies, for hygiene reasons, this Marriott should be remodel and put floor instead of carpet.

I got a chance to stay at Vienna Marriott in August and I am happy with my choice. The hotel is close to Stephansplatz and other main attractions are easy to reach. Breakfast was absolutely great and offered a variety of food. Staff was helpful and attentive, always ready to help with the city sightseeing. It was a pleasure to stay at the hotel, will definitely be my first choice in Vienna for the next visit!

10/10 cute Boomer hotel. Great amenities and facilities, for a very reasonable price. One of the only hotes in Vienna with a pool & spa, which you'll definitely need, as most of the commuting in this city is done by foot.

Here is my gripping story: just before an important appointment at a nearby embassy I had a wardrobe malfunction. The friendly staff at Marriott helped me out with a sewing kit. The twist is that I live in Vienna and I didn't stay at the hotel. So yeah, it's the best hotel I have not stayed in. Thanks for the help!

We chose the Vienna Marriot Hotel for our 6 nights in the city after waiting 2 years to be able to travel for leisure again. The experience was good, in all other cases I'd give it a higher score but I'm being slightly more severe in my criticism due to the 5 star rating and the premium coming with it. Bedroom was sizeable, clean, comfortable, well-lit and super quiet. Really a good experience, the king size bed is gigantic and very comfortable for us. We slept like babies after some marathonian days of visiting everything Vienna has to offer. The only complaint on my end is that the bathroom doesn't have a bath, and it's too tight for it to be usable for two people at once (no dual faucets, weird placement of doors, narrow space), although perfectly usable by one person. Shower could have had a better water pressure, although it was servicable enough. Some toiletries essentials one would expect from a 5 star hotel were missing like a shaving and tooth cleaning kit. We only had a couple meals in as we wanted to explore food offerings by our own but the breakfast bouffet is excellent and varied, if a bit pricey. The 2 cafeterias/bars available to us were decent albeit, again, pricey, but you could certainly obtain better quality food for cheaper if you ventured 5 mins out of the hotel. Of the 5 food venues the hotel sports one was closed for reforms, the main restaurantone only served "candlelit" dinners besides breakfast, a thrid one which was heavily marketed in the PR images turned to be only for VIPs (aka people who pay for the big suits). Location is amazing at 5 mins walking distance of main downtown attractions like St. Stephen's cathedral, the Opera anf Musikberein or Albertina, with museum area, Rathaus or Nashmarkt another 5 minutes or a very short tramride away (Line 2 stop is 10 meters from the Hotel's main gate). We didn't use any extra facilities except the indoor pool which was spacious and cozy and wasn't crowded at all. The rest of the facilities looked top quality as well. The staff at reception was friendly and helpful, cleaning was thorough. The only thing that stained the experience with the staff a little bit was that nobody helped us with the baggage upstairs when they apparentlt have that service. The welcome on other 5 star hotels always have been more complete, with some kind of beverage, cold/hot towel and help with luggage withour having to ask it. Little or no details of such kind were given. That piled up on top of the limited bathroom amenities and the availability and variety of the food options make me not give this otherwise great hotel the top rating. Although that doesn't mean it's bad at all, on the contrary, we will consider it for future stays in this charming city.

Nice hotel in terms of design and general quality of service but I was disappointed with the way they 'recognise' loyalty and repetitive mistakes with the bill. My first impression is that loyalty doesn't seem to be valued too highly. Although I was 'upgraded' to a junior suite, this was on the inside of the building with a rather ugly view of the glass ceiling covering the restaurant when a large number of rooms have a nice view onto the park. A number of mistakes in my bill - such as the dinner which was supposed to be included in the rate, added onto my bill and I had to explain to reception that it was included in the rate, and at the restaurant where I was charged for the dinner which, again, was supposed to be included in the rate and furthermore, two drinks I did not order were added onto my bill so I had to correct the waiter. Rather amateur for a 5 star hotel. Thankfully, there are a reasonable number of Marriott Bonvoy hotels in Vienna so I have choice for next time I visit. But I did expect better from the Vienna Marriott.

We have stayed here three times now. Great family hotel located just walking distance from most of the sites in Vienna. Great service and staff was friendly. Breakfast buffet was superb and the hotel has taken into account the pandemic by ensuring you sanitize your hands before entering the buffet area. Only complaint would be that the cooks do not make a very good omelet. Other than that, the food was good with a wide variety. Since the pool is inside, it can be enjoyed year-round and as of our last stay, you had to make a reservation to use the pool due to COVID-19 restrictions. Also, as of our last stay, the executive lounge was not open, but the hotel gave us vouchers for use at the restaurant or bar. Will definitely go back here again for a family get away.

The hotel is outdated, I booked executive suite but the room was not clean, smelly when I arrived. The front desk and housekeeping was very helpful and responsive through my whole stay, also the breakfast buffet was decent as well , that’s the reason I bumped up to 2 stars. I originally booked a 5 nights stay but because of bad experience, had to checkout earlier. The first night we arrived, water was stuck in shower, so we called engineer to fix it, he did a great job and got it fixed soon but then the cleaner guy came in, directly out my bath tower on the floor and use his shoes to drag it to clean the water on the floor. That was a terrible experience and I was surprised that it happened in front of me, in this high end 5 star hotel, in the executive suite.

We came here for the legendary brunch. So, the quality of the food is indisputable. Especially the fish dishes and the desserts are top notch. And there is also a nice vibe. If you love buffet brunches this can be a great option. On the other hand, there were some instances in which the service could have been more attentive (they never brought the water, for example) and not at the level of the price, that we found quite high considering the service and the fact that the majority of the dishes were for sure good, but not great (as on some extents it is normal at a buffet).

Lovely hotel, great interior design, awesome location - not only in the city center, but also opposite a beautiful park. I stayed here only one night so I did not have a chance to take advantage of everything the hotel has to offer. I will try to do it next time!

My go to hotel when in Vienna. Best front desk staff I have ever experienced. Extremely helpful when navigating COVID restrictions. The Garten Cafe was relaxing and the menu selection was satisfying. The wait staff was readily available and prices reasonable. The rooms were very comfortable and more than met my needs and standards. Thank you Vienna Marriott for making my stay so pleasant. I’ll be back in a few months!

We upgraded our weekly experience to have M club membership. When we arrived we were told it was closed and we're given a daily stipend which was admirable. We were satisfied until we found out that the main restaurant was closed at night and only open on weekends. So it was either eating at the sports bar or the lounge cafe in the lobby. A rather disappointing upgrade. The pool was fun and the folks working at that hotel provides excellent service but the hotel is not operating at full capacity. I'd call ahead before upgrading to any suite or club as they don't actually have it yet sell the rooms with it. I would seriously consider going back the Marriot. I feel that they severely misrepresented their offering online as well as the compensation they offered didn't actually help as the restaurant and intimacy of a suite and club didn't happen.. thankfully we found some nice places outside the hotel!

Great location and welcome, nice building and amenities but a negative everlasting experience tarnished my stay...several weeks after my check out the hotel did not refund the extra amount charged on my cc without my authorisation. My last requests are ignored by the hotel and the money is not back in my account...still waiting! What a treatment!

I had a lunch meeting at the hotel yesterday and had to bring my 2 year old son with me as his care giver had to go into quarantine. The staff were so friendly to him even though he was all over the place. He was offered milk and a toy. The other guests were friendly too! There were no weird stares like we have experienced in other establishments when he throws a tantrum. That was truly impeccable! Thank you for accommodating us!! Truly appreciate it.

The Vienna Marriott Hotel was a welcome relief after a long day traveling! The Staff were so responsive and charming, that they made us feel like we had come home. If you love comfort, beautiful décor, this hotel is for you. The rooms were lovely, spacious, clean and neat. The comfortable bed was just fabulous. This entire establishment is so worth your stay. Will definitely use this hotel again.

Amazing property, wonderful hotel. I was fortunately upgraded to the Presidential Suite and OMG, that was amazing. Staff is brilliant and helpful as well as very posh. Beautiful lobby with cafe and cake. The breakfast is fantastic, skipped lunch after a wonderful meal.

The overall experience was very good keeping in mind it was summer and the hotel was fully booked, main highlights below: 1. Check in- we had to wait for a while to be served, but after that it was smooth, although I didn’t get the connecting rooms I have requested, however, was promised a relocation to another rooms in two days 2. Room service- was good, however, the service is not available 24 hours 3. Rooms- rooms were not bad, but dusty, so you if you allergic be prepared 4. Housekeeping needs a lot of improvement, the cleaning was not done properly but rather to tick a box 5. Staff were the best thing, everyone we have interacted with was friendly, kind and helpful 6. Breakfast was excellent, a lot of options and delicious food 7. Location was perfect as well, you can take a quick walk to the city center, or the park in front of the hotel. There are groceries and pharmacies next to the hotel as well

Excellent hotel, very well located and with excellent transport at the door, very well decorated both in terms of common spaces and rooms. Very comfortable. Excellent and varied food. All the staff are very friendly and always ready to help from day one. I must mention that Mr Daniel from reception who checked us in was very friendly and helped a lot. A hotel I would totally recommend Thank you to Marriot and staff an experience to repeat.

The hotel is very nice and the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. But what especially stands out is the wonderful customer service: the manager and all of the employees are attentive, understanding, accommodating, and very helpful. Highly recommend!
