Had
a
nice
stay
at
Hotel
Bristol.
There
were
a
lot
of
things
to
enjoy
about
it,
though
next
time
we
are
in
Vienna
we
will
not
return.
That
said,
I'm
sure
the
hotel
would
suit
the
needs
for
plenty.
First,
the
positives:
-As
a
tourist,
the
location
is
fantastic.
Right
across
from
the
opera,
above
the
transit
system
and
with
a
tram
out
front,
there
is
also
a
hop
on/hop
off
bus
across
the
street,
and
it's
easy
access
to
the
downtown
area,
Hofburg
Palace,
Belvedere
and
other
major
attractions
-Stately
decor
and
historic
-The
breakfast
was
fantastic
with
a
great
selection
of
meats,
cheeses,
fruits,
vegetables
and
juices.
The
negatives:
-The
walls
are
paper
thin
-
we
had
a
very
loud
snorer
on
one
side,
and
it
seemed
there
was
a
family
on
the
other,
which
meant
near
constant
noise
day
and
night.
Surprisingly,
but
positively,
there
was
almost
no
sound
from
the
exterior
-Room
service
food
was
bad
enough
that
we
decided
we
would
not
order
it
more
than
once,
rather
surprising
based
on
the
quality
of
their
breakfast.
-There
were
several
severely
sick
people
in
the
hotel
making
no
effort
to
distance
themselves
of
mitigate
the
spread
of
whatever
they
may
have
had.
-Since
this
was
the
first
stop
on
our
honeymoon,
I'd
contacted
the
hotel
via
email,
the
chat
application
and
via
phone
to
see
if
I
could
have
anything
done
to
make
our
welcome
special.
The
staff
was
shockingly
dismissive
and
unhelpful.
-Despite
being
a
Marriott
Titanium
Elite
member
no
mention
was
made
of
this
either,
nor
was
there
any
attempt
to
accommodate
an
upgrade
despite
requests
made
via
multiple
channels
(and
with
them
available),
nor
were
we
even
able
to
get
some
firm
pillows
as
requested.
I
was
told
there
were
no
rooms
available,
but
when
searching
online
found
that
was
not
the
case.
Personally,
I'd
opt
for
the
Ritz
or
another
hotel
upon
return
to
Vienna.
