On the second day of our stay, To our dismay, we discovered a running cockroach on our bed. This discovery prompted us to thoroughly check the room, only to find additional unsettling surprises—a condom and rubbish beneath the mattress. Such findings were deeply concerning and not at all in line with the standards we expected. In response to these inconveniences, the compensation offered was a free lunch valued at 20€. However, we were disappointed to find that the lunch consisted of two subpar sandwiches and coffee. What compounded our frustration was the cleaning process, which required us to wait for an hour in the lobby despite having communicated our needs before our lunch. Strangely, during this time, it appears that someone entered our room and moved the covers onto the floor. This extended our wait to a total of two hours, an ordeal we hadn't anticipated. We commend the efforts of the woman receptionist who assisted us during this challenging time. It seemed that she was working within the boundaries set by the management, and we can't help but wonder if there were limitations to what she could do to address our concerns effectively. It pains us to express that we cannot recommend others to stay at the hotel, despite our initial positive impressions during the first day of our visit. The subsequent events overshadowed our initial enjoyment, leaving us with reservations about returning or suggesting the hotel to friends and family. Moreover, we opted for the breakfast option priced at 22€, only to find that it did not live up to our expectations. Although advertised as a bakery, the breakfast selection lacked variety, with the absence of pastries except for croissants and a few small cakes. In conclusion, our stay was marred by the aforementioned incidents and disappointments. We hope that this feedback serves as an opportunity for improvement, ensuring that future guests have a more pleasant and satisfying experience. It was our last stay I am afraid.

The rooms are very small, if it's cold outside you will really feel the cold inside the room too, because the thermostat isn't working and when it says you have 25 degrees it's actually 19 in the best case scenario. The fan it's really noisy and will affect your sleep. In the image below you can see the ceiling. Think twice before choosing this hotel. Thank me later.

Excellent Service! Loved the atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious. Five of us met in Vienna from around the world, We arrived late for breakfast and they still welcomed us. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. We brought in a pie as a surprise and they let us use the fridge from the restaurant. Will stay there again with the family.

Staff very friendly and helpful with information with local area. Bed very comfy. Only negative comment would be the lack of privacy in the shower. Beautiful looking hot showers but if away with anyone but a partner it felt a bit strange showering in full view! A little blind would sort this perfectly!

Lovely team working here, serving well, and so incredibly personable. Highly recommend their complimentary breakfast with local flare and flavor. Stayed in their handicap accessible room on the main level. Spacious bathroom, eco friendly, comfortable living setting. They've created a fantastic atmosphere here and I wish I could have spent an evening with a drink on their beautiful patio.

Decently priced and close to the tram line so about 20 mins to the city center. Rooms were small but well laid out, and the AC worked great. The staff were friendly as well. Some downsides: Rooms could've been cleaned a bit better before our arrival, rooms are also somewhat dated, and the buffet breakfast is expensive compared to other nearby options.

Good Hotel but more budget style in my opinion. Really surprise by all the 5 stars.... not sure what these people would give to Waldorf Astoria, The Plaza or other top hotels.... The good: Location is actually good, while not in the center - it's close enough and quiet The people working there are really great...more casual, relax approach but very professional as well. The Not so good: Small rooms and I mean really small with sinks actually located within the sleeping area.... Shower stall OK but also a bit tight. No fridge in any rooms....no actual wardrobe furniture so you need to hang / organize your clothes right in the open or keep in the luggage. In summary; a nice but a budget type hotel.

Located very close to the main station and also Belvedere palace. The reception was friendly. Room was spacious (got the one with hammock) however not suitable for Light sleeper as you could hear the car sound from outside. Would be nice if the hotel provided earplugs for this case. Also in the room I found it not be that suitable for working due to limited lightning from the lamp. It is also not advised to share rooms with colleagues as the shower is transparent and didn't offer any privacy. I stayed for 3 nights but my room was never cleaned. Breakfast was superb - - one of the most complete breakfast selection I hadn't seen for so long :) Parking was a bit difficult to find for the first time - - locates not directly at the hotel and would advise to take your luggage first to the reception before parking your car.

This is not your typical business chain hotels but rather a unique hotel with great amenities, spacious rooms and nice practical features. The service was not outstanding but not bad either and certainly good enough to not put a damper on my stay. The restaurant offers a nice selection of drinks and delicious food at reasonable prices. Would definitely stay here again.

The brunch menu at Hotel Daniel offers a wide range of delicious options, perfect for any palate. The variety of freshly baked pastries, artisanal bread, and homemade jams were a delightful way to start the meal.

Pretty good place for a short stay. Location was excellent for us since we came with a car and it’s also just a short way away from Vienna’s attractions. Staff is helpful and friendly. We got the ”Smart room” which was very small and relatively expensive for what you get. On top of that we paid 20€ more per day for parking. Breakfast would have been 25€ per person and did not look that special. So overall a little bit overpriced for what you get. If you’re sensitive to noise be aware that the hotel is right next to a big road.

+ affordable + super-nice and helpful staff + I enjoyed the hipster image +/- partially renewed older building. +/- small elevatora in peak hours sucks +/- noisy rooms. If is your room located to the main street you can have sleeping issues due to a constant traffic - hostile parking. When you come by a car you need to be very carfull to turn quickly right. Then very tiny space where is almost impossible and forbidden to park. After the check-in you will get the parking card and finally you can move to a nearby parking house. Bit stresfull all the time.

Modern, urban rooms. Quirky having a shower in the middle of the room which may not be to everyone's taste. Comfy beds. Well located with links to the main station, metro, trams and around a 30 minute walk into the main centre. Provided breakfast was decent. Only let down was the rather noisy road outside and/or how little noise insulation there was, particularly against emergency vehicle sirens which frequently pass.

Comfortable rooms. Efficient reception. Helpful staff. Very convenient location. Nice food in the restaurant, though breakfast is a bit pricey. Recommended!

Very unique and a different hotel . Its a high end one but looks kind of rugged . Very interesting though . Good body lotions and shower gel is available in this hotel . It faces all the sky scrapers

A great hotel with an awesome restaurant below. Rooms were a little small but that’s okay. Breakfast was very costly but it was tasty. Amazing location too!

Was sharing a room with my boss and they watched me shower. Shower was viewable from the bed, so hope they enjoyed. Also, room didn’t have blinds, so hard to sleep.

I stayed in Hotel Daniel for 2 nights, and whilst the experience was *mostly* good, it unfortunately wasn't perfect. First, the good. The hotel is excellently priced, with even the large hammock room and a pretty good breakfast being cheaper that most hotels in the area. The rooms are well-equipped, with a coffee machine, dimmable lights, large bed, overhead shower, etc. Staff are also quite helpful, managing to check us in at 8am(!) when we arrived. There are also good transport links, both with the main train station nearby, and trams from multiple nearby stops. This makes getting anywhere in Vienna (or further) nice and easy. However, there are some problems. Whilst this of course depends on your room, if you're anywhere near the bins at the back it can be very noisy quite early in the morning, we were woken up both mornings by the clattering of bins. Additionally, the rooms suffer majorly from condensation (see attached image), so expect very humid air. Perhaps related, the metal blinds make odd noises as they move by themselves, which can be somewhat spooky at night! Our TV's internet was broken when we arrived, and after raising it with the front desk was informed it would be sorted tomorrow. No problem. However, nothing happened, and housekeeping seemed to have done nothing except place 2 new towels near the sink? Not sure what happened. Finally, the room design. Whilst having an open room for more space makes sense... there's no shower curtain whatsoever! Instead, there's a large glass window to the rest of the room (and a poorly placed full length mirror), making sharing a room somewhat awkward if you want any privacy. Luckily the toilet has a proper private area. The hammock is also mostly just in the way, and I wouldn't recommend actually sitting in it as an average sized adult! A few too many suspicious creaks... Overall I would likely stay here again, although perhaps in one of the larger rooms for a bit more shower privacy.

Ah hotel daniel it was a bad experience. 1.The rooms are almost inside each other and you can witness the coughs, sneezes and sexual life of everyone on the floor at any time of the day. 2. The only good thing was the breakfast, but we couldn't find a cook to make an omelette on weekdays, they preferred to gossip in the kitchen and it was impossible not to be disturbed by their laughter while having our breakfast. 3. There is an air conditioner in your room, which never heats up and does nothing other than making noise. Fortunately, we were able to heat our room by discovering the heater in front of the window. 4. Of course, the sound of all the cars on the street is with you 24 hours a day. Even though we made our 5. reservation with breakfast included, the hotel told us that breakfast was not included and we paid for it. I will send the invoices to the intermediary company, but I still do not know who will pay the refund. After these bad experiences, Hotel Daniel will definitely not be my choice again!!!

Overall had a really lovely stay at the Hotel Daniel. Rooms were generally well equipped although perhaps a tad noisy from the road outside. Service was also mostly good, staff were friendly, but although there is a free mini bar, it's not restocked, regardless of how long your stay is. Same with the coffee for the machine, this wasn't always restocked. Location is very close to public transport and so it's easy to get around, although for some maybe a slightly long walk to the town centre. Not so many restaurants around but a few near the station. Super close to Belvedere which was lovely to walk around.

Really loved this hotel. Close to main train station but the neighbourhood is actually really nice and next to Belvedere. Very trendy, friendly, excellent breakfast and restaurant. Also for under 200 a night. Room is a bit tight, but excellent shower and really comfy beds. Slept like a baby each night.

The breakfast buffet is one of its kind - huge selection of food, varieties of coffee/tea, bread, pastries, juices, and and and. Atmosphere is modern and very welcoming, u do not have the feeling of sitting in a hotel but more feel like in a very cozy living room. The service staff is very welcoming and friendly. Current price of breakfast buffet is €23 including all the food and drinks.. outstanding value for the money!!! Breakfast is available on weekends until 12:00 and an absolute recommendation!

The hotel is just next to the Belvedere Schloss. Buffet was really good and enough. The room was clean and air conditioner was working well. I stayed on the top floor and the ceiling of the room was bad looking just like the photos. But generally, I satisfied my stay.

Love this place! Everything is arty, odd and unusual, a great break from feeling generic and unimportant. Definitely feels like if an art collective ran a hotel but a couple of the collective members used to actually work in a hotel and remembered the fundamentals. Look at the room photos and decide if that sort of place is for you. If it is.... great news, it lives up to it. If you are expecting a generic Hilton type room, go elsewhere, leave the rooms open for us who enjoy thos place.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, atmosphere are cozy and relaxing and the location is super. However, the noise was hugest problem during our stay. I was woken up by a street construction at 2 am. Although we changed the room to the ground floor and the noise problem was reduced, we had to suffer from the street noise when the street got busy. The window doesn't have any effects of noise protection. I want to advise you who want to book this hotel that make sure which side room you are booking. Never try the street side.

Great, modern urban style hotel that serves a great breakfast ( Cava on Sundays!). Fantastic views from our 6th floor room too. Very, very comfortable beds too. Lovely, helpful staff and little touches like bowls of fresh seasonal fruit by the lift and dogs being brought a cushion to lie on by the manager. We were very impressed and would certainly return.

A great location walking distance from central Vienna, but most of all really great staff and service. The breakfast has excellent variety and quality and we were so well looked after by Peter and his staff in the restaurant. Highly recommended!

This is one of the most delightful, original and relaxing hotels we've ever stayed at, not least because of the people who work here. It is ideally located, just 'a spit and a jump' away from the Belvedere Palace. The interior is post-industrial softened by a profusion of green plants (not plastic) and one steps out to deckchairs at the entrance and vines and rosebushes. And what a lovely touch to place a large bowl of fresh, iced seasonal plums and apricots by the lift! We were looked after by Peter, from Bristol, and his warmth and care were special. All of the staff were friendly and full of humour, indeed humour is a part of this hotel and it's a trickle-down from the convivial manager, Dieter. We're not breakfast eaters, but what we saw will convince us to partake on our next visit. Which will be very soon!

Really nice hotel, very close to the main railway station. The staff was extremely helpful - we arrived very early and they found us a room which was ready so that we can check-in in the morning. The city centre is within walking distance (about 30 minutes by fast walk). The room was small but comfortable. The restaurant was good and the breakfast excellent. Good value for money.

One of the best hotel in Vienna. I love the design, style, location and also always friendly and helpfull stuff. They have amazing breakfast, try it! Totally recomended!

Overall very good, rooms are smaller than they appear. The shower is glass and in the room so it could be awkward if not a couple. The location is near the belvedere but a tram pass is recommended to get around town

Beautiful room Breakfast looks amazing Free access to the Belvedere when you stay here. It's perfect for what I needed. The room is well equipped and I was able to check in early at no extra cost.

It's good for a 1 night stay but nothing more. No blackout curtains so the room is immediately bright in the morning. No fridge/mini bar so don't bring anything that might need cooling. It's very very noisy as well as the windows are not sound proof at all.
