The rooms need a bit of paint and love but over all a fantastic night at this establishment All the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic with many choices and fresh made omelets to order. It’s location is fantastic right across a busy street is one of the most beautiful parks I’ve ever visited!

Very "tourist" hotel close near the zoo, park and public transportation. Rooms are reasonably priced but the meals are very expensive, including breakfast. Plan for over 30€/day person for breakfast. Breakfast buffet did have a broad selection that could satisfy anyone.

We stayed here in December and the rooms were nice and warm. I opened the windows one night as it felt a bit too warm and that did the trick so anyone worrying about it being too cold here, don’t worry. The beds were comfortable. I would suggest adding another king pillow instead of the tiny scatter cushion. The rooms where clean and very large. The couch converts into a double bed which was nice for my daughter. Bathroom has a walk in shower and it’s a decent size. The breakfast is nice with plenty of cold and hot options, as well as a variety of breads. Location: it’s super close to the underground metro, a 5-10min walk. The metro goes straight into the city (Karlsplatz) within 20min and from there you can walk or take the tram further. There are many lovely restaurants near the hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and it exceeded all my expectations. The staff's hospitality was exceptional, the rooms were meticulously clean and well-appointed, and the amenities provided a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a delightful and memorable stay.

When you enter the lobby you feel like you time traveled and the Kaiser is gonna come around the corner any second, the staff is super friendly, the rooms „royal“ and cosy at once. The breakfast buffet is generous in choice and quality! Be aware city center is about 20 minutes subway ride, but castle Schönbrunn just across the street

Very nice and cosy hotel. Rooms are huge! Everything is clean and comfortable. Heating is excellent if you are visiting in the winter time. The only thing that could be improved is the internet since it's breaking very often.

Our second stay at the hotel. Love the location (right next to palace gardens and zoo), and setting. With easy links to town centre. We have stayed in the modern part this time and although we prefer the older part more, this one was really nice too. The Caffee is great and we love our breakfast there (A la carte). The staff is friendly and helpful. And the place is dog friendly. Parking is separate from the hotel, and although tight and quite pricey has a direct lift to the hotel which is a plus.

Despite its great location and star reviews, I was very disappointed with the hotel. Firstly, check in was scheduled for 3pm. We reached at 3.30pm and was told that room wasn’t ready and should be at 4pm. When we came back at 4.30pm, we were told (without any apology) that the room wasn’t ready. We were promised a room with a view of the park to only get a view of some construction. After finally getting our room, and sleeping a comfortable night, I woke up to find bed bug bites on my body… Disgustingly itchy and red! I wonder why room cleaning took longer than expected if the room wasn’t cleaned properly. Thank goodness for me I only had to stay there for 2 nights. It was a terrible after stay experience!

One hotel located in the heart ❤ of Hietzing vienna austria. We have been in the the executive room... Amazing old tradition wich is with Love renovated. Flair of old times next to Schloss Schönbrunn. Zentral to take the subway to reach approximately 20 min the Central City. Hight recommend district in Wien 13. Clean rooms and one breakfast buffet welcomes you. Enjoy your stay.

Great hotel! The decor and layout of the hotel were fantastic. We stayed in the junior suite and found it spacious, well decorated, and comfortable. All for a very reasonable price as well. The hotel is located not close to the city centre but is approximately 20-30 minutes by train on the U4 to the centre. The U4 u-bahn starion is like a 30 second walk from the hotel. The hotel is located directly opposite the Schönbrunn Park and Palace so that is a bonus. Staff were friendly and welcoming as well; I would highly recommend staying here

I'm in 2 minds about this hotel - it feels like it's so close to being amazing, but some of the details really make the experience subpar. For example, requesting an iron - it took multiple tries to get in touch with reception, and about 30 min to get the iron. Once received, it turns out the iron is dirty and does not have steam. I would really expect a steam iron to be already present in the rooms (especially in the suites). Some others are already mentioned in the comments before as the availability of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and the lack of change of bedding. That being said, The breakfast buffet is amazing, and the location is great as it's close to the palace, and close to the subway to the city.

My husband and I stayed here for our one year wedding anniversary and 10 year anniversary together and we’re greatly looking forward to this highly rated hotel. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the ratings it received. The good: Check in was friendly and we were given our room immediately. Rooms were spacious. Good location next to public transport, zoo, and palace. We were first put in a room on the 3rd floor. When we walked in there was a stench in the room coming from the bathroom. It was quite unpleasant but that was the only thing wrong so far. Then when trying to go to bed and sleep we found out how horrible soundproofing was (even with ear plugs) as we could hear running and thumping all hours. Power went out in the middle of the night and fan nor ac would work and we were uncomfortable sleeping. My one condition for booking hotels was functioning AC. Then, to make matters worse, while shower pressure was good, hot water was not consistent. Rooms weren’t super clean. Walls are dirty and need a paint job, mini fridge was kind of grubby. The following morning we went to reception to let them know our concerns. They were apologetic and upgraded our room but we would have to pack all our stuff again and staff would move it. Not a huge deal, we were happy to get an upgrade. Later that evening we arrived at our room. It was so large and nice and we tried the heating system for the fan (they turn off ac for environmental reasons at a certain temperature)… yet again it did not work. We called and the manager came to our room to tell us that floors 1 and 3 (the floors we were on) had problems with their units and we’re not working. It would be fixed tomorrow or we could move the the 4th floor. We had JUST moved and unpacked and did not want to move again so we toughed it out with windows open. We asked for a fan but they never provided one. The next day, surprise surprise, the ac/heat/fan were not working. We got back to the hotel at around 11 pm so it was not worth fighting over. They must have known we were not happy because they just asked for payment upon check out and did not ask about our stay. Spend your money elsewhere if you want consistency. We loved Vienna but this ruined our comfort and sleep for the end of our trip.

I do recommend this hotel. It’s beautiful, comfortable and very well located. Staff are nice and helpful. I knocked a star off because of the housekeeping services. We didn’t have our water glasses changed once. Coffee and tea were just thrown on the little coffee stand and not arranged nicely. Our bedding was neatly folded but never changed. Same with big towels. No shower gels/shower lotions. I do appreciate the little details at hotels and unfortunately this one didn’t live up to my expectations in that regard. Overall happy with our choice but for the price I expected a little more.

The hotel's location is fantastic, in the surroundings of Schönbrunn Park. Being in close proximity to the iconic Schönbrunn Palace allowed for easy exploration of the beautiful gardens and historical sites early in the morning. The rooms were spacious, well-appointed. Comfortable beds and soft pillows. Anyhow, the cleanliness of the rooms was not upon my taste. Take in account that is not a central hotel, is almost 15 minutes by car from the centre. Overall, was a good experience.

I recommend this hotel. Perfect location - 50 meters from Schonbrunn and 50 meters from the metro station. An old hotel with stylish furnishings, different from the familiar modern hotels. My only complaint is that after cleaning the room each day there was quite a bit of lady hair (I was alone in the room)…probably from the staff

Excellent hotel! If you're thinking of booking, let me assuage any fears you have - it's great. Well located from the train station - no trouble getting here from Vienna Hauptbahnhof, and there is plenty of parking. We booked a room for two nights, and had a lovely time. It has a very grand hotel feel, the rooms are huge, water pressure is good in the shower. The breakfast selection is excellent, staff speak German and English very well and were nothing but helpful and courteous throughout. The hotel is located slap bang on the quieter entrance to the Schonbrunn Palace gardens which is great for a nice walk and is beautiful, it also saves you the trouble of getting the train or queuing for entry in the morning. The bar is great and huge, nice music and a calm place to be. I can't wait to stay at this hotel again in the future.

4**** are you kidding? For breakfast: No fish, no bio food, no plenty of fruits and of course full of wasps, no swimming pool, even no post it notes in the room. In 2 hours - 4 times calling the reception no answer.... What are you doing exactly. No mosquito nets in the room, pillows are soft and super low quality. This hotel is a 2 and a half star hotel. Rooms are big, A/C working correctly but a little noisy, the bathroom was good but missing- a tooth brush, razor ect., TV working correctly and big enough, broken curtains, bed is ok. The location is cool, but the staff at the reception is definitely not for a hotel business. Sorry Austria Trend you have a lot to improve

Good location with a nice view hotel. Service was not professional. The waitress in the restaurant was not polite. She keeps on chasing us unfriendly way to check if wr stay in the hotel or not if we want to put the invoice in the room. For such nice hotel and with this approach was not a professional way. All the staffs look unfriendly and stressfully.

At the Parkhotel Schönbrunn you can get closer to imperial Vienna on a very personal level. Because it is located in the carefully restored rooms of Emperor Franz Joseph's former guest house. This goes back to a snack bar that opened in 1787. It was then taken over by Ferdinand Dommayer in 1823 and converted into an inn! Stunning hotel with awesome decoration and service!

For me, this was the first 10 star hotel I have ever stayed at, and I’ve been quite a few. I love the old-fashioned style. Everything was always super clean and the staff, everyone of them was phenomenal. Without any prompting, the manager at the reception ask me on the second day if I wouldn’t like to have a room closer to the elevators, since because of my post polio syndrome, I walk poorly and with difficulty. The next evening I had a room about 20 feet from the elevator. The room itself was phenomenal with over 4 m ceilings and my style of old furniture. The food in the restaurant and the bar is first class and not really that expensive. Anytime I’m in Vienna. I will surely stay in this mini palace. The location is top-notch.

The room was excellent, very big and complete. The bathtub is really comfortable for one person and the garden view from the terrace is delightful. The hotel in general is very fancy and elegant. The staff was very kind and attentive. Buses and subway are less than 150 meters away

Absolutely beautiful hotel. The building has that historical feel on the exterior and interior. Beautifully appointed, chandeliers and all. The rooms reflect that same traditional style, however with all the conveniences as well. Super clean and the staff couldn't be nicer. While the service in the restaurant was impeccable the food could have been improved on. There are plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood though. The hotel is located directly next to the Schoenbrunn Park and Zoo. The U bahn and the bus are also on the same block. From there you can get anywhere in the city quickly. So the location is convenient. The entrance to the Castle is quite a walk, or you can take the bus or subway for one stop.

This is the best hotel we stayed so far. 1. First impression - reception team makes you feel like a valued guest, the hotel is so beautiful in a castle style. It is situated a step from a Schloss Schönbrunn and I think the hotel is more beautiful then a Schloss Schönbrunn, it is maintained so good, so clean and the decorations are expensive 2. It is not situated in the center of Wien but it is just 2 steps from U4 Metro station and Tram station that can take you to the center in 20 minutes. Tram 60 can take you to shopping street Mariahilfer Str. U4 Metro can take you everywhere in the city, the train come every 5 minutes 3. Hotel is nice decorated and it is very suitable for families as rooms are bigger then average a in Wien 4. The breakfast is tasty with good quality food (the same breakfast everyday) it is served in a ball room so we spent 1 hour every day at breakfast room. 5. I hope the price will be affordable next time so we will be able to stay again in this castle Hotel team works hard to make our stay so exclusive

The hotel was stunning, the staff was very kind and attentive. We had a beautiful room with balcony and a view over the rooftops of Vienna. It was very clean and the cleaning staff would also tidy up daily. It’s close to the rail station which makes it easy for you to reach the destination of your choice.

We stayed here for my birthday and had a wonderful time. Location was perfect and across from really beautiful gardens. Room was super clean, felt spacious and very comfy bed. Big mention to Suleiman, the porter at the hotel. He was very friendly, took our bags to the room and told us some history of the hotel and gave us a map to the city. As a social Irish person we're always delighted to have a chat and Suleiman made us feel very welcome. Great place and will happily visit again.

The hotel itself is fine, a bit old school. We checked the superior room and asked to upgrade it. The room was big with a renovated bathroom, but you could see that the furniture is not new ( scratches on the chair). What I did not like at all is the cleaning: I took the bathroom, the next day it was not cleaned properly at all (photos do not reflect), the vanity kit - never added during the 4 nights stay, paper napkins for the face - never added after they were finished. Have never seen such a bad cleaning service in a 4 star hotel. toiletries - all in one shower/shampoo gel. No body cream. Location is pretty good. It is close to the gardens, also there is a metro station 3 min away from the hotel - 20 min and you are in the city center. The neighborhood is calm and very safe.

The rooms are decent enough but the housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired. I have stayed at 3 star hotels with better housekeeping services than this place. They kept forgetting to replenish the tea and coffee in our rooms, even after we reminded them. They also don't wash the used tea cups when they make up the room. Plus, the room itself was not cleaned properly, there were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. Instead of giving proper body wash, they just put hand soap to be used as body wash/shampoo. Also, no moisturizer/body lotion which is pretty common in most decent hotels. Apart from all this, the housekeeping has a very bad habit of entering the room without permission. Twice they entered my room and caught me in my underwear! This is simply unacceptable. Oh, and also using the fitness center is not free, you have to pay 10 euros per person per day to use it!

Great hotel. Excellent service. Large rooms. The meals were delicious. Minutes from the Schonbrunn Palace and gardens. Close to mass transit. The only downside is parking - adjacent parking is appx 30 euros a day. A 10 minute drive with return on the subway is under 4 euros per day. A big plus- they convert currency for you without a surcharge!!!

Big traditional rooms, nice bathrooms. Of big confort and excellently located just in front of Schönbrunn garden. The building is in imperial style and you feel straight away to be in Vienna. I didn't have breakfast here as the price was high....so I can't judge.... I will get back here for sure!

Very beautiful hotel. We were amazed at every detail we saw. It’s like a museum. The rooms are clean, neat and warm. The location is also very good. It might seem a bit far from central but the train station is just 2min away and it only takes about 20min to get to the Innenstadt. The breakfast is also great, they have lots of varieties. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back

  • 4/5 Marcella T. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful grand rooms with professional staff. Room service was pretty snappy, too. The most annoying thing for me was the poor lighting options for doing one’s make up - especially in the bathroom. The angle of the lighting and the warm lighting made things difficult. The shower was also quite tricky. The water was either boiling hot or ice cold.

The hotel is very near to public transport stations, like 4minutes walk. It is also near to the zoo,the entrance of Schönbrunn palace is 1metrostop away. Our room was more than nice, but how I saw all rooms were just as nice, clean, comfortable. Breakfast was great, staff is very friendly, hardworking and helpful. I recommend it, I would stay here again.

Dog-friendly, old fashioned and beautiful hotel. We got an upgrade with my pup, and our room overlooked the park. Staff was mostly super nice, would def recommend.

Nice and spacious rooms, good service, really good breakfast. Metro and tram stations are right next to hotel. Only slight minus is that it doesn't have its own parking, and you need to use public one right next to hotel which is a bit tight. But overall really good experience.
