Great hotel with character, lovely staff, superb location in the Inner Stadt - ideal for walking to the main places of interest and restaurants. Close to all public transport with easy, quick (and cheap) travel to the airport. Great bedroom with own bathroom and aircon. This is a 3 star hotel...but I have stayed in many 5 star hotels that are not as good. Ideal hotel for a Vienna city break.

The hotel is nice and clean. We booked the economy room, so we had the shower across the hall and bathroom across the hall. It is private so that’s helpful. We’ve stayed in hostels so this was fine. Got questioned a couple of times by the staff if we were staying there when we went back to our rooms which was odd. Also the key and lock system were a bit difficult when you’re staying in the economy room (unlock leave and lock bedroom, unlock, go in to bathroom, lock, unlock, leave, lock bathroom; unlock go into bedroom, lock). Having to do this manually with a heavy key in the middle of the night wasn’t fun lol. Overall, it’s a nice hotel, pretty central to the city. And the price was reasonable for what you get. Esp since it includes breakfast.

The staff is very nice and helpful. The room had everything we needed and there were no issues with anything. We haven't tried the breakfast but they do offer it. Will definitely be back if we come to Vienna again :)

Great place to stay when your in the Country. My girlfriend and have been here numerous times and as Canadians we expect more and they always deliver. Great place to stay

It's a cosy old-fashioned Austrian hotel located in the city center (Innere Stadt), max 10 min walk to Stephanplatz. Our room was spacious, nicely furnished and clean. While planning the trip and at our arrival, the reception was very heplful and provided us with all the information we asked; in general, the staff in the hotel is very friendly. At the first floor there's a living room with a piano, there's also a small library and a wine shop. We also enjoyed breakfasts, fresh, tasty and enough for the morning meal. We would stop with pleasure in the hotel again while next time in Vienna. Actually, nothing to mention what we disliked....except may be that it can be a bit noisy in the mornings if windows of your room look the patio with the central entrance; but that was minor trouble, we coped withit all right.

The hotel is located in a very convenient area, quiet but close to shops, restaurants, and pubs. Our room was big enough for 3 people and clean. The breakfast was good but they should have more variety during the week for people staying longer. Considering that they don't have a fitness centre, they should offer deals with the gyms nearby (e.g. day tickets at reduced price). Overall a good hotel!

when I got married to my beautiful wife, we decided to make it our honeymoon destination. We booked a flight to Vienna, the capital city of Austria, and reserved a room at the Hotel, one of the best and famous hotels in the world.The hotel is amazing in every aspect. We arrived at the Hotel Sacher on a sunny afternoon, and we were greeted by the friendly and professional staff. They took our luggage and escorted us to our room, which was spacious and elegant, with a comfortable king-sized bed, a cozy sofa, a large TV, and a balcony overlooking the city. The bathroom was well-equipped with toiletries and towels, and there was a basket of fresh fruits and chocolates on the table. We felt like royalty in this hotel.and 👍

They are not professional at all. There was a mistake in the reservation, they didn't even say sorry for it. I booked the hotel ten days before and when I arrived with my children in the evening they told me that the hotel was full and that there was no room and they canceled my reservation without informing me that according to their rules it was not completed.

Christmas in Vienna What a treat my family enjoyed spending Christmas in Vienna. Our trip was made even better having stayed at Hotel Austria a classy hotel in Old Town. We were within walking distance of all the major attractions in the area and also the Christmas markets. The hotel was a home away from home , our rooms were immaculate and beds were very comfortable. The entire staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The staff delivered Christmas cookies to all the rooms on Christmas day. The Viennese breakfast was excellent each morning,so many choices. Piero at the front desk was particularly helpful . Our stay was for six nights and we would definitely stay at the hotel again.

We stayed at the Hotel Austria during the last days of 2021 (family 4 pax). The hotel is located in the heart of Vienna, in walking distance almost from all important sites you have to visit. The room was spacious, very clean, warm, with comfortable beds. Breakfast with enough variety and very good quality. There is no restaurant on site, but you will find so many just a few steps away Extremely helpful and kind front desk and staff generally. Reasonable room rate regarding the season of the year. I think the hotel offers everything a traveller needs. Full recommended!

The location of the hotel is very close to everything you want to visit, its historical texture, the friendliness of the staff, the quality of the breakfast, the cleanliness of the room, in short, everything was wonderful. This hotel is conveniently location. The staff are lovely, polite, friendly and very welcoming. Although the room was compact, it was beautifully clean and had a nice view across the street. Breakfast was fresh and perfect ahead of a day of exploring. Would recommend this place for a great break stay.

Treyer Marion was really helpful during our stay. She even gave us the key to look at the room first before taking It. Hotel is right int he centre of Vienna and nearny to many sightseeing places. Breakfast was fab too.. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay in hotel Austria. The staff in general is super friendly! They care a lot and always greet the guests. The breakfast selection is excellent, the rooms are really clean, and the area is very quiet. Great location, walking distance from main touristic areas.

Nice hotel, friendly desk staff at check in. Nice, old place. Room had a courtyard view. No air conditioning but there was a good floor fan and large opening windows.Very nice firm bed with good pillows. The bathroom has a walk-in shower with a glass door but the door opened out so that it hit the edge of the metal towel rail when about half way open. I was worried that it might get broken if it was opened a bit too fast. The room had a kettle, tea, and instant coffee. Breakfast was included and the buffet was very good. Overall I liked my stay here.

Perfect location as 5 min to walk to Stephanplatz and famous restaurants. Very close to the public transport U-Bahn. Staff was helpful and smiling. Good for a travel with an infant. Breakfast was okay. It is not a luxury hotel but it makes you feel at home.

Hotel is like from a little tale, in the center of Vienna. Location is top, near everything. And a hotel itself is magical and nice. Breakfast is great with plenty of good quality food. Rooms are clean and spacious, little in baroque style. Garage parking is 5 minutes walk. I was here second time but would definitely come again.

Great location in a quiet alley off street,, quiet, clean and comfortable. Friendly staff, and they will help you with any queries you have about your itinerary. There is a lot to see in Vienna. Nice breakfast to start you off for the day, but they don't do dinner. Probably uneconomic, but I don't know the reason for sure. There are loads of restaurants anyway within easy walking distance of the hotel.

Had quite a bit of trouble with the WiFi and the bed was unbelievably squeaky. Having said that, the location is fantastic and the apartment was lovely. I would definitely stay again.

Our stay was great, hotel location was prime, close to airport train and close to inner city (innere stadt). Staff were very helpful going well beyond what I expect. Room was ultra clean (my top priority) and comfortable. Breakfast was typical European and North American/British. I was not all unhappy with it and really a good deal. Keychains maybe a bit annoying but there is no loosing your key.

Hotel Austria is in a wonderful location, 2 minutes from Schwedenplatz metro station and 5 minutes from Stephansplatz, so it's within walking distance of many attractions. Close to all public transport with easy, quick travel to the airport. Also, the hotel is located in a cul-de-sac, evenings are calm and quiet so it is comfortable to rest and sleep. Especially for the New Year holidays. There is a bakery and a market nearby, as well as many restaurants and shops for souvenirs and gifts. The room was in baroque style, spacious and with very comfortable beds. Great attention is paid to hygiene and cleanliness, everything is sparkling clean and fragrant. The sheets and pillows were impeccably clean, towels, we had hygiene sets in the bathroom, hairdryer, kettle, cups, glasses, the hygienists refilled the container with coffee, teas, and water every day. There was also a safe in the room that could be used at no additional cost. WiFi was great. In the room you also get an information sheet with the biggest attractions in Vienna with all the information on how to get to them, which is really great especially if you are for the first time in Vienna. The restaurant is located on the ground floor and you feel as if you have entered a ballroom. The food is delicious, varied and of top quality. For everyone's taste. There is also a large selection of coffee, hot chocolate, teas, as well as homemade juices. I am thrilled! I would especially single out Mrs. Vehida and Mr. Richard who are extremely kind and friendly. ‌The stay in this hotel was wonderful, but all thanks to the wonderful staff, they are very welcoming, kind, smiling, friendly and ready to help you at any time. From the Front Desk I would like to single out Mr. Piero, who first provided us with a spotless room, and later, with a quick reaction, provided us with a taxi to the Musikverein where we were going to the NY Concert. I am grateful to him for his advice on taxi transport in Vienna which helped me during my stay. So many greetings for him! Thanks to all the people who work at the hotel! I can't wait to come back again! ❤
