Excellent hotel. The quality of sleep in the rooms is at a high level, excellent mattresses and pillows., I liked it very much. The hotel itself is beautiful and everything in it is good, the staff is friendly and helpful. The location is good, in the center, everything is within walking distance. In delux room you have daily refreshed free minibar. If you are by car it is 30€ per day for parking and breakfast is also 30€ per person which looks a bit expensive., but we are in the center of Vienna.

Stayed here for 5 nights, and it's a visually beautiful hotel in a great location with an impressive buffet breakfast (loved it!) but as is the case with many large hotels, scratch the surface and it's a little lacking: - Bar staff were great and attentive. - Reception staff seemed like they were new and very young. They were unaware of the "pillow menu" (there's a copy in every room), they also didn't know how to post a postcard on my behalf (also a service advertised in the in-room guide) - We were a male couple - But complementary robes and slippers were "His and Hers" (the "hers" items are a smaller size and didn't fit either of us) They also knew it was two males staying in the king size bed - I observed on a number of occasions that guests who were being rude or aggressive to staff received better service - I'm was not comfortable acting like that to receive the service expected from a 5 star hotel - The "gym" is a tiny sweat box with minimal equipment for any kind of work out (clearly added to achieve 5 star status) - We decided to stay an additional 2 nights in Vienna. When I asked at reception if we could extend our stay, i was advised they were fully booked (fair enough). I then showed them their own website which showed two rooms available. Reception said this was a mistake and they would close these off. We then contacted our travel agent, who could also see two rooms available through his system. I checked again 2 hours later, and still two rooms available. There was no offer from Reception to help us find another hotel, just a blunt "We are fully booked". We ended up moving hotels, but I checked again that night, and surprise, surprise, there was our room available, but at triple the cost. Would not recommend for anyone looking for good customer service, but if you just want a pretty room, go for it.

It is a beautiful hotel, nicely appointed and superbly located. Take with you a flannel. Also some Nespresso pixi pods or coffee granules, milk and soft drinks as only an initial couple of these are complementary. Breakfast is excellent. Bar service depends on who is on duty.

Had the most wonderful stay here! Location was great - minutes walk from the everything including an U-Bahn station. Reception and services were very friendly and the room was very clean and modern. Bed was comfortable and the spa area was calming and cosy. Definitely would recommend to friends and revisit myself in the future.

Hello I and a guest of the hotel booked 2 rooms for 10 days. A total of 5340 euros, a lot as a sum and a disparaging attitude. Unfortunately I would like to update, that the rooms are not at a proper level of 5 stars. The rooms are not clean. Yesterday I showed the maid what's going on under the bed how much dirt is there. She said they would clean up tomorrow. Attitude received from the reception does not welcome. For example. .. Promise to swap another room for me. I waited until Dinko and arranged the room. After an hour they called from the reception that room 531 was planned for something else. I asked how is it possible ?? They said we would check again and in the end it was decided to move the room for me. In advance with a booking for 10 nights I did not have to get room 529 given to me at reception. Beyond that it is not every day that the minibar is filled. Yesterday did not clean room 530 and did not fill the minibar. very disappointing. Moshe

In addition to a centralize location, comfortable luxurious accommodations and enormous breakfast, the service in the hotel is impeccable. Truly above and beyond! Special Thanks to Nikita S. and Anna for their help with various logistical issues. You can get a good night sleep and great food in many different hotels, but you do come back to places with an outstanding service.

Five stars hotel at the heart of the city. Lovely staff. Luxury at every aspect: the design , the rooms, the view from the terrace, the breakfast, the spa, the bar in the evening. We had great surprise waiting for us in the room for my wife’s birthday. Sure we will be back!

Really loved this hotel. Rooms were spacious and clean and staff were very lovely. Buffet breakfast was excellent. And it was walking distance to most things. Wins all round.

This is an amazing hotel right in the heart of old vienna (no need for transportation if you enjoy walking). We felt like royalty, and slept and ate like Royalty too. Schnitzel was better then famous Meissl, Sauna is so nice after long walking days, and the conference rooms are excellent! The best part though were the front desk attendants. Ahmed was superior in his attendance to our experience thank you so much for all your help.

Such a beautiful hotel located just 1 minute from the palace and the shopping streets. The rooms are very beautiful, new and super clean. The breakfast was top quality and so much variety. The restaurant at night was very good. The staff was very helpful at the front desk and they all spoke English well. I only wish there was a proper Concierge available to us. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Vienna

Great hotel with nice and clean rooms. The breakfast is some of the best I have ever had with an incredible buffet. Staff is incredibly service minded and plentiful, and you are never left waiting for long.

Still it's a nice hotel. Though, everything has become a bit old and out of fashion here. Breakfast is delicious. What I don't like here at all is the old, stinky carpet in the room.

Good location but beware of additional charges. At checkout, they told us we didn’t owe anything further but then charged us additional fees later. No invoice provided. When they finally provided an invoice after requested, it’s creative accounting. Beds crackle.

The most beautiful hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. Great location and great customer service. The bar area in the hotel also looked really nice but we never had a chance to go. Located in a very safe area.

I have been blessed to say I’ve traveled much of the world while staying at lovely hotels: The Hotel Steigenberger was absolutely GREAT! Perfect location, close to everything you want to see yet a quiet half block away from the noise and traffic, beautiful and clean spacious room and bath, genuinely attentive Front Desk and service, wonderful huge breakfast, GREAT fantastic Bar Lounge with AWESOME and such dear nice bartenders, Marcus and Luciano—sad we can’t chat with them again until we return to Vienna, which we may do because it was such a great visit and would definitely stay at the Steigenberger!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I chose this hotel for 3 reasons - its listed as hypoallergenic (which is mostly true), the price and location. The location was terrific and the price more competitive than others in area. The room is quite small - which you expect being so close to town. But, there are small flaws in the rooms - can't connect to the tv to stream shows - their screen mirroring option doesn't work. Room amenities aren't up to par. Service is good but given the wrong room number first time around. Overall - pretty good.

Though I didn’t get a chance to stay at this property, my review is based on a terrible customer experience. Due to an unforeseen work situation, I had to postponed my trip by 3 weeks. I requested a change of dates the last date for full refund based on my timezone (a day late on their timezone). Through Expedia, we requested to see if I could change dates without penalty and they denied my request. So I lost all the money from my original reservation. I understand rules but I also know what good customer service looks like and this was definitely not good customer service as my intentions was to still stay at the hotel on another date three weeks apart. I would like to add that the other three hotels on my trip were extremely helpful and changed dates with no penalties even after due dates. If you are looking for flexibility and excellent customer experience, then I would not recommend this hotel.

Lovely clean room with balcony and shower. Slippers and robe provided in addition to standard shower gel etc. Quiet and serene hotel with old world glamour. Central to all places of interest in town and all within reasonable walking distance. Staff helpful and friendly. Food available from bar and restaurant plus room service. Plenty of cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance from the hotel. Great place to stay and capture the feel of old world Vienna.

An excellent hotel, with the nicest staff. The location is great, very close to shopping markets, city centre and bahn stations. The breakfast is satisfying, delicious, staff are kind. Rooms are clean, silent and wide, the bed is very comfortable.

This was the cleanest hotel we stayed in Austria – by far! Staff is super friendly, professional and helpful. All Deluxe rooms include a free minibar daily refill. The beds are super comfortable, duvets fluffy like clouds and the pillows just perfect. Best rest in a while… Worth mentioning that it is also surprisingly quiet considering it is in the city center. Even with the windows open, all you can hear is the horse carriages and the cathedral bells in the distance. Very peaceful. The location is very convenient. There is an exit of U3 (underground) next to the hotel and all attractions of the inner city are in walking distance! The breakfast is on the expensive side but it is truly exceptional, with huge variety of different fresh delights. We think it is very much worth it. We highly recommend the hotel, we will come back again.

My third time in this hotel. The BEST choise in Vienna for sure. Great Location, Super Clean rooms, staff very friendly, the help you for everything, taxi, reservations. Very fast in check-in & check-out. They are for sure better than a lot of other hotels that are more expensive.

We stayed at the Steigenberger for 5 nights. The deluxe double room was nice the only negative was that there was only one sink in the bathroom (this is the reason for 4 stars only). The location is extremely convenient. There is an exit of U 3 (underground) about 1 minute away from the hotel. All attractions of the inner city are in walking distance! The breakfast was expensive and there are many other options in the city. Also the parking fee of € 40.00 is very high and we left the car at the P+R Erdberg. From there you can take the U 3 which takes about 15 minutes to the hotel. You do not need a car in the inner city and public transportation is good. The staff was very kind. We went to the bar several times and also here we had a fantastic service, the drinks were exceptional good and the food of a good quality. We highly recommend the hotel, we would stay there again.

I stayed three nights at the hotel; the heating system ( if they have ) wasnt on, the AC was loud and not enough to warm the room. I was simply cold at night. There are better choices with the same price range at Inner Stadt.

We had a wonderful four night stay in this very comfortable hotel. It is ideally place very close to the Hofberg palace. Our room was large with a balcony overlooking the main street. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The staff were very helpful and the staff on reception were particularly good helping with airport check-in. We would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel rooms are nice but nothing special, the food and drinks are acceptable. The location is a real positive, however the staff are rude, presumptive and lacking. I can't be negative about all the staff, some are and have been brilliant but the vast majority not.

I always stay at Steigenberger in Germany and Austria when visiting. The Steigenberger Vienna hotel is very beautiful and has lovely rooms. The blackout curtains don't work very well but I took it as a way to get up early and explore the city. 😊 Walking distance to all the famous museums and sights. Close to restaurants! I wasn't very fond of the breakfast though as I prefer my food piping hot. I could not get used to room temp eggs and pancakes and undercooked bacon. Just my preference so nothing against the hotel.

Absolutely recommended. Great location. Kind staff. Nice room. The breakfast is marvellous. Parking is great in the hotel’s own garage. —— The only problem we had was I was misinformed by hotel receptionist upon check-in. They made me a deposit of 50EUR. The receptionist said “it’s for the bar in your room, if there’s no consumption it’s given back”. I was convinced this referred to the minibar which we never use due to unnecessarily high prices in hotels. Upon check-out it turned out that the first filling of minibar was complimentary which I had no idea about. (If I had known, I would have used it.) The receptionist actually seems to have referred to the hotel’s actual bar (but then I don’t understand the deposit at all, if one drinks there and adds it to roombill that should be handled properly but not by adding a 50 Eur deposit to all guests, I mean if people run away without a payment should not concern other guests. ) I checked my booking confirmation. No information is displayed neither in the room or on the minibar fridge nor in the booking confirmation that the minibar filling is included in the price. The information is only displayed in the “complete amenities” section of the webpage. So a piece of advice: including minibar filling is a great feature but then the guests should be informed about it if their booking contains this specefic feature (because I could not use it as I dodn’t know this was the case) and no 50 Euro should be deposited upon check-in because it feels odd.

This place is such a disaster that I cannot find the words to explain. First time I experience racism. Terrible attitude towards us as they assumed and at the end asked us if we were Russian or Ukrainian with hideous smiles on their faces. Breached GDPR for which we are going to complain to the local authorities. I paid the full amount for the 2 rooms at arrival and agreed for them to use my card as guarantee for extra services for both rooms. Obviously, we provided our IDs for registration but then they put different name on our room. They asked for EUR1000 deposit my friend who stayed in the other room even though I provided my card. This sum is higher than the amount for the 3 nights we stayed. Then at check out they tell me they would cancel the authorisation they made at arrival, and they do. An hour later I receive a message that another card is charged with the amount of EUR 827. The card is not present and is not mine. I used it to make the reservation for guarantee because it said "pay at the property" and I would pay with my card which I did. They told me that I didn't tell them both rooms were checking out. Which is not true. But all the time they kept trying to accuse us, the clients, that we are in the wrong. They just do whatever they want with guests' cards obviously so be careful! All staff at reception is bad behaved, unprofessional and apparently uneducated.

Steigenberger is ideal for business and pleasure, I have used it for both. It is centrally located, easy access by the Metro system. Perfectly positioned for the attractions, Christmas Markets and Museums. For business use it has good conference facilities. The staff are very friendly and helpful

Beautiful rooms, good service and cleaning. All comforts included and perfect location. Very good breakfast offer, only issue is there is only one coffee machine for the whole breakfast room!

Spent a week here with the family in late November. Very nicely appointed room with a good amount of space. Excellent location. Walking distance to the old town, restaurants, attractions. Wonderful, helpful staff. Didn’t have dinner in the restaurant but did go for breakfast and it was awesome. Great buffet selection - one of the best I’ve had in Europe. Stayed here for pleasure but seemed like a good hotel for business stays as well. Definitely one of the top hotels in Vienna.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly doorman. Check in was easy. We received some good recommendations for dinner from the front desk. The room we stayed in was not quite the five star accommodation, but it was clean. The spa at the hotel is not something I would even refer to as a spa. It is only one room, which looks rather old and not fitting for a five star hotel. However, the massage therapist was exceptional. Overall, if you look for a hotel at the heart of Vienna, stay here; but not for the luxury experience or amenities.
