I had 3 pm check-in and I arrived early as 9 am. Reception informed me that they will give me a room as soon as one available, however, they did not even though other people came after me and they checked in. Also, there was an option to pay 50 euro for early check-in but they didn’t mentioned it when I went for the reception couple of times except when it was already 2 pm. I booked a king bed room, however, it was two twin bids attached together and the cover was two twin size covers. I paid almost 300 USD a night for the room, however, there was no water or even a note book in the room, also trash cans were without bags.

It's definitely one of the worst hotels I ever stayed in. This is not a 4-star hotel, but rather a 2 star one. The rooms are old style, no AC, dirty walls, old-fashioned bathroom. The personal is rude and don't speak.or don't want to speak English. They've charged me twice for my room, and I haven't received my money back yet. When I confronted the person at the front desk, he said that it's not true, after he said that it's a deposit and only when I asked to speak with his manager he said that this was a mistake and I should have my money back in a week but I am still waiting to receive my money back. It was the worst experience I ever had in a hotel. I would not recommend it! Avoid this place!

Fabulous hotel, great rooms, spacious and comfortable. Great choice of breakfast, service 5☆, very professional and polite. Pleasure to stay in this hotel. The metro station next to the hotel, 10 min from the centre by train

I am usually not the one to write a “bad review” since I believe that even a business may have a bad day, but in this case all was disappointing from the start. Upon check in the receptionist was on the phone, once she had hung up I expected to be greeted (she hasn’t even looked at me at this point) instead she turn around without a word an leaves for the back office. She returned 5min later with a colleague, now I was surely to be greeted , at least with a slight nod and smile? Instead both employees checked something on the computer first. (Sense of Hospitality - ) While checking in I had asked if there was a bathrobe on the room, the clear answer: yes! The Room itself was of Reasonable size and overall clean, including the bathroom, but nothing special, a room from the 90s. (Cleanliness +) what was missing though was the Bathrobe. Back down to the reception, which was now at 14:30oclock completely deserted. Ringing the bell I waited 5min again to ask for my bathrobe, I wanted it right away, over all I had booked because if the spa, but that was an impossible task, I tried negotiating but it could only be delivered to my room, any one who stays at hotels often like I do knows this means now you’ll need to wait a more or less indefinite time. (Service -) Luckily I found a very helpfull Hausdame in the hall, she got me hooked up with a bathrobe within a few short minutes. ( Hausdame on the 1st floor ++) Now I headed to the spa I was looking so much forward to, I had booked this hotel after all to get some relaxation in between business trips in Vienna and Salzburg. The spas was only functioning partially. 2 of 3 saunas where turned of, including the steam bath which is advertised online. The shower world that promises relaxing water based massages was out of hot water. (Spa - ). I didn’t end up staying at the spa very long… The next morning, breakfast. Well at this point I was not expecting much overall anymore. But the platters of stacked cheese and sliced meats still haunts my dreams. Absolutely no love put into the visual part of the breakfast at all, everything else was what you would expect from a Eurostar 3 star hotel, but not from a 4 star like this one is supposedly rated. Over all the hotel is clean and surely you find a place to sleep, so by the definitions of the AAA or the Eurostar Organisation, it is a safe place to stay and may earn one star. Everything else though is a disaster, no sense for service or hospitality. I will not visit this hotel again.

The food was delicious is an understatement. Highly recommend just for the food alone. Room was clean and tidy.

Fairly comfortable hotel; clean. Filling breakfast spread, as well as a fantastic number of tourists. Great wifi and selection of television and radio channels. Extremely close to the metro to explore the city…

Pick a different place.. rooms are below average, service is rude, and no AC. I’ve been there for a week. Cleaning ladies were entering my room even though I had a note hanging on my door. They kept opening my window. My key didn’t work every single time!

If you are going to attend some event in VIC is the best location you can find; althoug is near to a metro station that can take you to any place, hotel is a little bit far from touristic places in Vienna. Beer in bar is amazing, food at restaurant a bit expensive. Rooms are old.

The room was tidy and clean, with a comfortable bed. Very, very quiet. The breakfast was delicious. The staff were very nice and friendly, in the restaurant, as well as at the reception. Overall, recommended.

The staff at reception are unfriendly. The hotel is apparently under renovation or construction with bustling and incessant movements of workers. The hotel reeks of the smell of paint. The only positive point: the hotel is close to the centre 'Austria Center Vienna' and to the train station.

Stayed in the hotel for a week. The saving grace was it was close to where I was working. I ate at the restaurant in the hotel that Saturday night, the staff seemed upset due to wedding traffic going on. My stay was ok. 1. The room AC did not work. Slept with the window cracked open all night long 2. The shower had a mind of its own. Set it for a temperature and all of a sudden it would go from boiling hot to freezing cold. 3. The room I stayed in had feet print on the walls (gave the impression of not clean) 4. I had a king size bed with a twin size comforter (spent most of the night fighting it).

Sub- standard. Needs a renovation badly. Until then go somewhere else. Everything was run down and the pillows were awful not to mention the ironing room

We went there for an event and did't stay a the hotel over night. I heard it was ok and the location is close to public transportation. Parking in the hotel is rather pricey but available. It seemed clean and everything you expect from a good hotel is there.

‏The accommodation was good, the room has a modern decor and a beautiful view, the cleaning of the worker was good and safe for out things, the breakfast was very ordinary there is not enough variety of dishes, and every day the same dishes, one of the waitress she should not make her bad mood reflect on her dealings with customers, When I checked out of the hotel, they didn't send me a trolley to transport the bags to my room and told me that I had to get off with it and then transfer it by trolley to the car, so what's the use of it?' They didn’t care about our comfort at this point because the bags are a lot and I told them so but they apologized for sending the trolley to us, they said move the bags by your self to the loby then we give you an trolly!! it was tiring to move it downstairs!! the hotel does not provide ironing clothes, neither in the rooms nor in the whole hotel, in general a good stay, but there are notes that you need to fix for the convenience of the client . Thank you .

The hotel was ideally suited for the night before a river cruise as it is walking distance from the quay where all the river cruises set off from. However, when we arrived the restaurant was only open for events, so there was no food. We could not find the power sockets and visited reception to ask, but they did not know where they were. They said they would send someone but we are still waiting for that visit. We found the power socket cunningly hidden on the underside of the TV but the kettle would not work. We thought we would get it replaced by the person who was still supposed to be coming to show us where the socket was, but as they did not come that did not happen. Having travelled all day, arriving after local shops had closed and with no restaurant on site a hot drink was essential so we devised a way to make the kettle work by jamming a spoon into the switch. The room was fine, although the pillow was lumpy and there were no spares. The soft furnishings were a bit tired. The public areas of the hotel are quite impressive with large red chairs and statues.

This hotel is convenient for visitors and guests of the Vienna International Center (VIC) where the UN in Vienna and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Headquarters are located. It is walking distance from VIC train station and is the exact drop off point of one of the airport bus routes. The lobby is huge. Restaurant and bar are located at the 1st level. Elevators are available. Rooms are big enough with safety boxes, personal ref, TV, A/C, bath tub and shower. Free breakfast buffet served at the restaurant has a great selection of breads, sausages, drinks; though it is repetitive. Gym is also available. Overall, my stay is great.

Even though the rooms are very good, the location excellent, I have some complaints. At the price of the room I would of have expected to have the parking included. No, it costs 25 Euro/day. It's very crammed, so, it's easy to get scratches from neighboring car as it happened to me. The neighbor scratched my car and ran away. Unfortunately, I discovered it after I left the country. The reception desk is on a computer. I figured it out quite easily but I couldn't find my reservation. I knew for sure I had one. There was a note "We'll be soon for you there. " More than one hour later, someone I asked told me to look for the receptionist in the office behind a partition wall. Found her and we discovered that my name was misspelled and the situation was solved. I am a foreigner but I speak good German, I know how to operate a computer, I have experience in traveling abroad. Are these the requirements for spending the night in the hotel?

The good: Location and price. Close to the train station, a few stops from the city center, Breakfast was also ok, and the rooms were quiet The Bad: Single (tiny) blanket in a room, with 1 pillow, water temperature in the shower is random and gives you cold/boiling water in a surprise... The ugly: We'll it was expected, but the red all over is not a pretty sight, also the Gym (if you can call it like that) lacks a basic equipment, has basically 2 treadmills, bike and 1 w barbel.

Old fashioned, poor room decoration, only one small quilt for a king size bed covering half of the bed. Well, I will never stay again in this hotel. Definitely not a four star standard. Closer to two stars.

More luxurious (and also expensive) hotel in Vienna International Center. Very close to subway U1 with convenient connection center and train station. Comfortable rooms, rich and tasty breakfast.

Considering the rate/night it is a disaster! Don’t provide even bottle of water in the room. Check out in the morning takes ages, because there’s just one person at the reception!

First, I mostly promote positive feedback in hospitality services because it’s those what makes the difference amongst the others. But this time I need to be honest in hope the hotel’ll improve. I stayed there 3 nights and first impression after 4 hours of driving was very negative. The receptionist was nowhere to be found and once she did, she was VERY unwelcoming. I was asked to provide guarantee 200 EUR (which later changed to almost 500 EUR!). The overall design of the hotel is nice. Clean room and comfortable bed. Even though I got window to busy street, there was no noise. The fridge was not working. Then next day the breakfast was okay. I maybe expected some unusual stuff to be served (local cuisine or sth) but it served it’s purpose-to start the day. Then parking, even though it’s under the hotel, is payed (25 EUR a day). Last day it all got wrong, first I needed to pay for the whole stay and then when I chacked my account a few days later I noticed that I’ve payed ~500 Euro for the stay + they are still blocking me the same amount (yeah, not those 200 EUR) which is blocked for around a week. So for 3 nights you need to prepare yourself with a fortune of nearly 1000€ just for accomodation. Cool, right? I hope next time they could tell me that upfront so I can pay right away without any money blocking stuff. This experience which I think roots in not trusting your guests really ruined the experience of visiting the Vienna for me.

Great stay, and super friendly staff. There is a guy at breakfast, I don’t know his name but I’m sure you’ll recognise him if you meet him. He’s super friendly and attentive. Brings activity books for our kids, lights us a candle at breakfast and brings toys and colouring books for the kids. Thank you so much! The garage is very nice as well. 2m height and plenty of parking space. The food is surprisingly good as well, a tad pricey but quite good, especially the pulled salmon burger! Hotel is close to everything so definitely recommended to anyone!

At the reception people are not friendly. I ordered a wake up call, but they didnt call. The fridge was out of order. But the breakgasts are good. And it is quiet and good to sleep.

Worst hotel service. I stayed 3 nights in arcotel hotel . They didn't checked room before. Bathroom shower was not working room refrigerator was also not working 😂 hair dryer was also not working 😂 one day i tried to order two coffees in my room and i called many times room service but they didn't picked up my call then i go in the reception about room service but she said , go and talk with cafe team , then i visit cafe and talk with one waiter. He said what i can do . When i asked for manager he said manager is on holiday. Worst experience ever....0 stars

It was adequate. Lack of power points and charging points. Hot water took ages to come through. Waiting staff were unhelpful, didn't show a drinks list, so we didn't know what the prices were. Beds clean and comfortable, but curtains failed to cover the window adequately, so it was difficult to sleep.

  • 4/5 Radha D. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel is very well located and the rooms were big. They're were just a lack of power outlets besides the bed (one out of 2 plugs was used for the hotel phone). We were also surprised one morning by a fire alarm, only to find out it was an employee drill. Would have appreciated to know that before we left the building.
