Mixed experience, overall not great value for money. Check in experience at the reception was a joke. We arrived at 2pm and were just told check in is not possible before 3pm, but we can take a seat. Thank you. Wasn’t notified when check in became available even though sitting in front of the reception and our baby kept crying through the lobby. How about doing the formalities and offering a coffee while waiting until the room is ready? Especially being platinum would expect a little more service. Small things make a difference. Every holiday hotel provides a nicer welcome experience for way smaller rates.

Stayed here for my recent visit to Vienna. This hotel is 45 mins walk to the city center or 10 mins U4 subway ride. U4 Station is right next to the hotel. Hotel is decent. I also attached pictures of the gym. Here are the reason I gave them 4 star being a lifetime platinum member for Marriott. 1. No pool In the hotel 2. No lounge, they offer breakfast for two instead. Not good enough as my two kids breakfast is not covered 3. Gym was pretty basic. I have stayed in Renaissance hotels all over the world, this gym is the most basic 4. Just 1 free water bottles for elite members. 5. Didn’t offer any upgrade even after using upgrade reward Rooms are comfortable.

They have great rooms but I'm not a fan of the paintings of the faces of a girl in the bathroom. It freaks me out a bit because in the middle of the night it's like theirs a person there Location is great! Nearby supermarket for all your needs. Nearby a lot of public transportation. I love their breakfast here. The hotel feels high class and they have a fresh orange juice presser for breakfast that you can do yourself which is great. Their should be a sign on how to use it because not everyone has tried before and it'll be helpful to foreign tourists

Extremely Disappointed with Our Latest Stay in September 2023 Having stayed at this hotel in Vienna for the fifth time, expecting the premium experience we’ve come to enjoy, we were left utterly disappointed this visit. For a rate of 460 euros, our premium room booking for two nights (September 15-17, 2023) fell far short of expectations. Upon arrival, we encountered a series of unacceptable issues, starting with no hot water in our shower - only ice cold options were available, despite hot water functioning in the sink. Our complaints were met with unsatisfactory solutions, including the offer of a smaller room and another room with intolerable noise levels. Eventually, we were forced to use the shower in a different room temporarily, which became inaccessible the next day. To add insult to injury, we were moved to another room, significantly below the standards advertised and expected for a premium room. This room was not only smaller but also in poor condition, lacking basic amenities and with visible damage and cleanliness issues. This experience has severely tarnished our view of the hotel, and we insist on an immediate refund or a significant discount to compensate for the numerous inconveniences we faced. The lack of hot water, the hassle of moving rooms multiple times, and the final disappointment with the condition of our room are simply unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber and price point. Despite writing and complaining several times they did not reimburse part of the cost which was even more disappointing

Very beautiful hotel with very nice stuff. They care a lot about their guests and they are very friendly. Our room was always cleaned in the morning and such a nice atmosphere inside there! I recommend you! 🌸

This hotel is nice, but is right next to train tracks and road, so we used a sound machine at night. Housekeeping didn’t respond to requests. But overall a nice hotel and very close to Schönbrunn Palace

Nice hotel, it is not in the center but has underground station near by. Clean and quiet. Sauna is big but open only in the afternoon. Bathroom has a bath. Please see pictures for reference.

American style hotel with exceptional good bed (to my taste). Good size room with large TV, coffee/tea making facilities, refrigerator and recliner. Bathroom with shower. U-bahn station just across the street with direct connection to the city center.

A very modern and reccomendable hotel in Vienna quickly linked to the city centre with the metro station just one minute walking from the hotel. The hotel is furnished with a lounge waiting room and a mini shop either. Rooms are quite spacious, silent and well furnished, with a very comfortable bed. Fitness area is quite smart but with more machine for cardio than for weights, adding at least some cables machine would be reccomendable. Bar and restaurant have a very good taste and glamorous interiors with a nice selection of beers and spirits. Breakfast buffet has an immaculate presentation with a huge selection of sweet and savoury options. Just one out of the tune, wake up call for air crew should be punctual, if many members of the same crew are facing the same issue it means that there is a problem, at least a kind apologize would nice and appreciated.

The room was clean and modern. The staff was always prompt and courteous. Service was great. The breakfast buffet was $25 at the time of writing this review but given the prices at Vienna it was reasonably priced given the selection. It is situated right across U4 stop so it is extremely easy to get to and to use as a base for visiting various parts of Vienna. We did not check the sauna so no comment about that. We dinned mostly at the hotel and we're very satisfied with the quality of the dishes.

A nice and quiet hotel, good location, close to public transport. The hotel rooms are clean and cozy, we had a good rest there. Service was superb and we would love to come back at some point whenever we visit Vienna again.

Had a short but wonderful stay. Room was large with comfortable bed and other amenities. Had other nice little touches I haven't seen for awhile like shoehorn, seeing kit, etc.

Well appointed rooms, good bar and restaurant with a very good breakfast setup. Very close to the station and within walking distance to the Palace gardens and the Glorietta. If you liked my review please give me a thumbs up👍🏾 and follow me for more honest reviews! 🙏🏾

This is a very belated review and I have forgotten the name of the very pleasant Gentleman who was at the front desk back in the summer of 2019, but I just wanted to say that the level of customer service & cleanliness of this Hotel deserves accolades. It’s also right by a Train stop, so the location is perfect! AAA+ Hotel. I’d recommend. Thank you, Team Renaissance!

Nice enough place to stay. It's somewhat far from the center tourist areas but I enjoy walking so I didn't mind but there is a subway stop right across the street for those that would want it. Makes it easy to get to and from the airport by public transit. The shower was pretty dirty and is set up a little strangely so water gets everywhere. The staff was nice.

Great location, near to U4 station, and a lot of shops in a walkable distance. There are 2 supermarkets around the corner. If you contact with the front desk by phone, they could provide what you need immediately. The room is big and basically clean, unfortunately I think room cleaning services were replenished very slowly, my shampoo bottle disappear entirely one of day, and another day the room clean not happen until evening.

Always a wonderful and welcoming staff. Missed them dearly for the last 18 months. Definitely a home away from home. Just reopened on the 1st June. Located next to U4 with a direct line to central Vienna.

Stayed a few nights in Jan. Excellent service and great food room service. Receiptionists very informative and helpful. Hotel wasn't full so we were upgraded to the bigger coner room. Organized our taxi to the airport in the middle of the night. Great sauna and relaxation area is very comfortable.

Nice rooms, pro staff, cool breakfast! But the hotel has huge issue with noise from the main street. No chance to get a proper sleep in case you get one of those rooms.

Wonderful rooms and breakfast. Totally worth it. PS: I forgot my Xiaomi Smartband 7 in the room. Please if you find it give it to someone and do not throw it away. It works with the Zepplife and other such apps.

Loved everything about this hotel, the rooms and the beds are amazing. Only minus they should include the breakfast in the price. Great place

I reserved a king room but received two twin beds let alone and hence four stars. Otherwise everything was ok. Location wise it could be a bit more central.

Decent rooms with nice breakfast. Location next to Ubahn station and about 20m from city centre. Mixed service received as most staff seemed reluctant to extent any help beyond their basic duties.

We stayed here for 4 days while visiting Vienna. It’s definitely on the outskirts, so my recommendation is to forgo the rental car and purchase a public transit pass for 72 hrs or as long as you’re there. The pass will allow you to take all three modes of transit (bus, metro, rail car - unsure if train is included). If you go during the winter months, during the day Vienna isn’t much to look at but - oh, at night!! The backdrops, lights and architecture is phenomenal! Downtown Vienna has shopping like you’ve never seen before….every high dollar brand you can ever imagine with lights and buildings galore! The hotel front desk staff is helpful when prompted. Our room was sufficient but unsure if some rooms comes with tubs or not. After a full day of walking, soaking in a tub would be nice. Rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff was great.

Stayed in this hotel a couple of times, but this time, the services were not up to expectations. Room was okay, but sink plug doesn't allow proper draining of water. Hence we removed the plug entirely. Housekeeping was poor. Towels were not given for 2 of the days and we have to ask for it. A 3rd day our room was not made up at all when we came back after 6pm. We ended up waiting for 45 mins outside for the room to be made up. Location is good as near to 2 train stations to get around Vienna City. Easy to find restaurants as well within a 10-15 mins walk. In fact restaurants and a Billa supermarket are just opposite the hotel. Parking was easy with ticket validation. Parking lots are small hence the number of cars that can park are much less.

front desk manager Delon was very unfriendly when we checking in.. we have a grp check in 16 Dec and in the rooming list , there is no room 517 but was given to us .. Ask to have wake up call , he said not serving us cos I’m rude .. he was rude to me first …I have never met such an argumentative person. Call front many desk and nobody pick up .. is these treatment to guest right ???

Checkin and checkout was excessively long. I'm a #marriottgirl and #coreenstravels has stayed at many Marriott Hotels. 20 minutes to checkin is excessive. My client took almost 40 minutes as they couldn't get their system to work. Not fun checking in from a lo g haul flight

2 words: GO ELSEWHERE. This hotel is under new ownership, and it shows. They are understaffed and cannot maintain the rooms at 4 star level. As Bonvoy Gold, this was the worst Renaissance. The bathroom floor has black mildew, and there is only instant coffee in the rooms! Also, rooms facing the street have train noise every 7 minutes. If you're a light sleeper, ask for courtyard view instead. There is no microwave on property. One of our room's sink did not work, and there is no maintenance staff on the weekends! Instead of being honest, nobody came to fix it for an entire day. Jhen, the housekeeping manager, offered us a cocktail instead of having it fixed asap. We had to escalate the situation to management to get it fixed; so disgraceful. The positives include a great location across from U4 train and walking distance to Schönbrunn palace. The breakfast was great, although it's hard to justify the €28/person price tag. The housekeeping staff was very helpful. I would like to recognize Janus, one of the only staff members with hospitality skills.

Near the U4 underground. Convenient. Rooms were clean. Staff was friendly. 5/5 for buffet. Definitely worth the train ride from the city center

Overall a positive experience. Service was very friendly, the location is outside center, sort of suburbia, but very close to subway. Rooms are relatively nice (not much English channels, but tvs have an hdmi option, except there's no casting). Vienna generally didn't feel as inviting as i remember it with the mask mandates still in force for pharmacies and public transportation, but not the hotels fault...

If you have a connecting room door, be prepared to hear everything the people in the other room do. Zero sound proofing. For a hotel this expensive, one would expect some privacy from neighbors. I don't expect 100% sound proofing from city noise when in the midst of busy streets and trains, but one would hope not to hear every word said by the neighbors.

Amazing customer service from the staff who helped us celebrate our wedding anniversary by placing a selection of pralines, fruit and petit four. The hotel is approximately 15 minutes from the city center via the U4 U-bahn and is across the road from the U-bahn station. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are traveling to Vienna.

I acknowledge the many positive comments of this hotel, which is why I booked it, but I really would not recommend it. The room furniture and the location in Vienna of the hotel are good, but the noise levels on the side of the street of the hotel are very high due to a passing by of the S-Bahn very close. As soon as I checked in, the client in front of me at the reception already asked to change rooms, so this has to be a recurrent problem for many visitors. If you like to have a decently quiet hotel room, go somewhere else. Also notice that the hotel gives out the best rooms to business clients on the more quiet side of the hotel, (that's what I was told at the reception), which does not make you feel very welcomed as a tourist and many windows of the hotel can't be opened (because they would fall out - literally what the receptionist told me). I finally only stayed one night in this hotel since I could not have a room on the more quiet side which would have a window that could be opened (seems quite standard in Europe however), so I had enough and decided to leave. The hotel also was not very helpful about handling my complaint, they offered me a voucher for parking if I want to come back. Still wondering if this was supposed to be a joke or not.

Very well maintained hotel with kind and professional service and good restaurant. Rich and tasty breakfasts, easy to access parking and proximity to subway station. Rooms are clean and comfortable. With family I recommend the apartment with two separate bedrooms and bathrooms on 7th floor.

Make sure to use HotelDully.ᴄᴏm when booking a place. This site will compare countless booking websites and usually will have rates much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This place is one of my favorites in the area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you won't regret it. All as advertised. Rooms are super nice, the lobby is beautiful, the location is 5 mins away from the subway (can reach the inner city in 20 mins 24/7). We did not buy breakfast as we felt it was expensive, we chose to eat out somewhere else.

Good hotel. They don't have the Club Room /Lounge anymore. Make up for it by offering a free cocktail to everyone at 6 pm. Else rooms are good. Service is as well. Very close to a metro stop, which makes it easy to get around. We got a high floor room junior suite /family room facing the back, and it was quiet and comfortable.

I did not have a room there, since I only joined a conference there. The service and staff was really top. We had a warm welcome and never missed any information. The food and Snacks were awesome, and you had great different choices. Also WiFi was for free- also for guests, not only for ones with a room. I enjoyed it.

Great hotel. Really nice deco. But need to be careful to choose the correct facing. Could be noisy at times if you get the facing that's facing the rail tracks & road.

  • 3/5 Urszula W. 1 year ago on Google
Quality room equipped with electric kettle and set of tea and coffee. Two situations happened that made me rate it 3/5 - it turned out it was a huge problem to provide a bottle opener and finally I didn't got one. Second, the room cleaning was not precise enough as some dirty spaces in bathroom were left after the service.
