Amazing hotel near the Main Station. Great, comfortably equipped. Very friendly staff. Special big thanks to Carla at the hotel reception. Possibility to store luggage in lockable lockers. The breakfasts are very varied and tasty.

The rooms are nice and location is great, which is the reason I've stayed in this place few times, but nothing else works. The self-check-in system has never worked when I've tried to get my room, and the help of some lounge staff was needed. The lounge bar staff isn't up for the tasks at hand, they don't even know how to prepare the cocktails in their own menu, they forget to make ordered drinks. Just bad service overall, hope they can improve on that.

It is a nice hotel which offers high quality for the price. But I missed some basics. No glasses in the room. No tea, coffee, and a kettle either. I ended up buying my tea from the bar downstairs which felt very uncomfortable and affected how I experienced the hotel. Room cleaning arrangements are confusing. I wish they emptied bins in the room on a daily basis even if they don't clean the room every day.

They were amazing! I had an issue with applying my booking code and they resolved it in 5 minutes after arrival by offering me a complimentary breakfast. The room was really clean and great looking, staff is extremely helpful and kind. I'm sure I'll choose them again if I'm coming to Vienna.

The room was smartly designed and had a casual vibe. I was impressed by the hotel's commitment to being eco-friendly and sustainable. The location, near Vienna Central Station, was very convenient for us, too. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Emanuele, who was an absolute delight. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous and great, too.

The hotel scammed us. I pre-booked this hotel through Booking. The scheduled check-in time was 22:00, but my flight was delayed by about 2 hours. I arrived at the hotel at 00:15. There was a clerk at the reception. It is pertinent to note that the reception is staffed all night and yet the clerk claimed that because we arrived after midnight our reservation was canceled. The clerk told us to book and pay for the room through her (for the same room booked on Booking) and insisted that if we talk to Booking they will refund us. That's what we did (we believed her). When we reached out Booking, they contacted the hotel several times (because the money had already been transferred to the hotel). Booking was willing to refund us but needed the hotel's approval, and the hotel repeatedly refused to do so. We also tried to explain it to them by email and we didn't even get a response. And that's how the hotel basically earned double payment from us for the same room and cheated us by promising that we would get the money back.

Very nice hotel with clean rooms and amazing breakfast! The interior design is wonderful; as soon as you step over the threshold you feel comfortable! The hotel is also doing a good job of reducing their CO2 footprint. Can absolutely recommend staying here!

Lovely hotel in a great location. Located just a few minutes away from the main train station which makes it very easy and convenient to reach the inner city. The rooms are extremely unique, unlike anywhere I've stayed before! The decor is very fun and makes you feel at home. Had an amazing experience at Hotel Schani, and I'll hopefully be back to this amazing city!

I have stayed at Schani Hotel Vienna several times. Each time I had a great stay. I like the unconventional rooms and also the location: 8-10min walk from main railway station. The beds are super cozy and the breakfast was delicious. Add to this their firendly staff and you get a 5 star rating.

My family and I spent two nights at this hotel and we had a fairly good experience. Upon arrival at around 12.00pm the receptionist told us that the mandatory check-in time was at 3.00pm, but this had not been specified anywere. The room was in quite good conditions but the sink was clogged with hair, not to say filthy, and the bedsheets had two brown stains. We immediately informed the reception, however the bed linen got replaced only about one hour later. On the top of this, towels are not replaced and the room does not get cleaned daily. Awful breakfast prices, as you get a croissant and cappuccino for the dealbreaking price of €10.50, and a full breakfast for €22.00 per person, regardless of what you get. Fortunately there are many solutions in the nearbies as the Hauptbahnhof has plenty of food shops in it. If you are lucky enough you can find a parking spot in the underground parking lot, which has CCTV and an adequate price per day. The hotel is, ultimately, a good modern structure, but lacks in essential services and the staff must be trained better.

Ideally located near Vienne central train station, this hotel was a perfect match for my trip. The availablity of a locker room to store my luggages both before my check-in and after my check-out was a real plus ! The price seems decent for the city and all the classic hotel services are available (bar/restaurant, breakfast, bathroom in the common area, etc.). Finally, green washing or not, this hotel promote itself as "better for the planet" by better managing the room cleaning, by providing refillable soaps, etc. Nice !

One of the most trendy hotels, very instagramable and cozy! We loved the room, the staff was great, delicious breakfast (coffee is great) and I found very helpfull the fact that they have luggage storage in the hotel (we needed to a couple more hours with free hands to walk around until we went to airport).

This hotel is very well situated for accessing the city centre. A tram can take you, in around 20 mins, to the historical centre of the town. Also you can get to airport in 30 40mins depending on the transport that you choose. The decoration and design of the hotel is futuristic, simple and efficient. Moreover, the staff is helpful and nice. The breakfast buffet also covers most of the preferences of different cultures. The only thing that would be nice to have is a fridge in the rooms which can be useful. All in all, we enjoyed our stayed. 100% recommended.

It’s NOT a four-star hotel at all! Simple facilities. Nice staff. But very limited parking space.

I love staying at this hotel. It's a hidden gem for unbeatable price, merely a brief stroll away from Vienna's central train station and within easy walking reach of the city center. Staff was nice and helpful. Room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. As a delightful bonus, we were treated to welcome drinks upon arrival.

The air-conditioned rooms were to warm at night, so we had to open the window. But if you reside in a room with the main street in front, opening the window at night isn‘t a good option. So choose a room to the courtyard, that‘s my recommendation. The mattress is far too soft. The rest is really lovely. Great breakfast with oat milk coffee, if you like.

We stayed in Schani twice, and every time it was great! Easy check-in, friendly staff, and comfortable parking which so important for car travelers. The rooms are clean and well-equipped. Everything you need for a comfortable staying, you’ll find here. Two words about the staff. Spending time in the lobby, we met Emanuele, and this actually was the reason for a second booking a week later) This Italian guy was so friendly and interested, we had a great conversation 🙌 Ema, thanks for a great time, if you read this 🤝✨❤️ Assuming this, I highly recommend Schani, like a nice place with the nice people.

We spent 3 days in the hotel as a group, everyone was really friendly and helpful but especially Emanuele, made us feel at home and was extremely available for anything we asked. Truly recommend and if you have a chance to grab a drink from the bar at night you'll have a great experience! Will definitely come back next trip in Vienna!

We were family of 3 on a short tour to Vienna. Our check in was fast, its a good self check in facility. The room is unique ( massionate) so a nice ladder to accommodate 2 beds in the loft . The room has a ventilation system, not aircon, so we borrowed 2 fans. The room was clean and well kept. Morning breakfast was good and the entire team was courteous and friendly. The hotel is so well located, close to bus, tram, metro and central station. Good eating joints nearby. We enjoyed our stay very much. Read less

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The only improvement I could see is to maintain the lockers in the basement better as some had broken locks and malfunctioning numpads. On the positive side, Coco and Tiffany were outstanding at the reception desk. Being extremely caring and giving us some insider tips for visiting the city. The rooms were very clean and well designed and the breakfast was outstanding.

The hotel was booked for me for a business trip. Usually in other hotels I am checked in in a few minutes, but here they have a self check in, which takes long. It was raining, I got wet and with cold hands and clothes had to type all my data. The receptionist was not really willing to help. The elevator has no extra security item. Anyone from outside can get through and go to the floors. The reception is together with the bar. They do not really care who enters the elevators as they do not see the entrance clearly from there. I kept my door extra closed and did not sleep well. The room shows a nice picture and basically is friendly looking, but at the end I was not satisfied with it. The cellar looks like after a flooding from the upper room, but not fixed/painted. There was no glass to drink from. Only one steel mug, which was too retro looking for me and hard to tell if it was well cleaned after the previous guest. Maybe was, but you cannot see it. The bed was so soft, I could hardly walk after two days from the back pain. Was not satisfied and will definitely ask not to book it for me the next time.

Great service from the bar staff. Easy check in with self check in, never seen before but loved it. Rooms were very clean and spacious, great value for money. 5 stars for the night barman, I never caught his name but he was from Italy. My partner thinks it was Emmanuel, however we couldn’t be sure as we were not 100% sober speaking to him most nights 😂 but he was great and gave lovely recommendations for the city and even for future trips elsewhere which was a lovely touch, a real asset to the company. Thankyou from Sion and Lowri from Wales.

The rooms are substandard when it come to hygiene, maintaining health and preventing disease, especially through cleanliness should be a common practice, however, this is not the case here. We found some small bugs in the room, we have reported to reception, bugs present are usually a sign of negligence and lack of proper cleaning routines!

Stayed here for a night after reaching Vienna from Switzerland. Super nice and friendly staff, very conveniently located near the central train station, clean squeaky rooms. Special mention to Charly who was at the front desk during our check-in. Had a very smooth check-in process. Another special mention to Hannah who made us lovely hot aperols which was their signature winter drinks. All in all a very good experience with this hotel and would highly recommend.

The property isn't a four star hotel. Could be a hostel but not a hotel due to its lack of basic hotel standards. The staff was unfriendly and really unhelpful regarding any request. They should have done hotel's trainings, a few staff members are not even able to speak in English. I was extremely disappointed about the room facilities. Basic elements as fridge, water, slippers and bathrobe were missing. In the bathroom there is separately we and walk in shower. The walk in shower has no door, there is only a curtain, so if you are traveling with friends be careful. There is only one shower gel that is all in one (shampoo, body shower, conditioner etc). A bottle of water costs 5,50€ and there is no room service! You have to go to the bar by yourself... Last but not least no phone device in the room, just a handy mobile device, so for any assistance you have to go down to the reception-bar!

It’s one of the best hostels I’ve stay!! Can you believe the breakfast it’s until 12am ? It’s amazing for when you wanna sleep until late, have a rest and a little break. I loved the bar, the architecture, the staff is also very helpful and friendly. I loved the experience and everything in this hotel. I highly recommend!

Modern, beautiful Hotel with very friendly staff! Comfortable rooms with impeccable cleaning daily, breakfast with a lot of variety and fresh quality products, good location and easy access to the center. When I return to Vienna I will definitely stay at the Hotel Schani.

Beautiful and well located hotel near central station, sadly one of the worst customer services I’ve ever experienced. Somewhat aggressive employees and who lied to me without any shame, I was impressed and I asked if she understood what she was telling to me, and she repeated her lovely speech (If you don’t like our rules stay at home), btw, I was not complaining, I was giving a feedback in a proper and educated way. This is just an example, since the check-in I experienced poor and disrespectful service.

Cute colourful room décor with a good breakfast buffet selection, nice variety of sweet and savoury options. Whole hotel feels very clean, modern and new. Hotel is just across the road from the main train station so very convenient if you are doing travel around Austria or a neighbouring country. They also offer car parking under the hotel. Belvedere Museum and Gardens are a 5 minute walk. There’s also a tram stop right in front of the hotel so very easy to get into the old town.

Fantastic design hotel with local Vienna touch. Gallery rooms are amazing, plenty space, furniture and bathroom are in perfect condition and staff is very friendly. Location very convenient just a short walk from Central Station

Super nice design, very clean, very efficient, friendly staff, finally a wifi which works! 10 min from the train station, not much around but they have a great bar if you want to hangout. The voice of the elevator is a bit creepy 😂 What I didn’t like is the sink and shower in the room. I’m a fan of traditional bathrooms, with everything in a room which looks properly 😂

This was a great place to stay, being one minute away from Hbf and with the tram stop right out the door, it is the best place to catch a train to any Europe's destination or within the city. The shower is kind of within the room, with only separation being a curtain. I've read about the temp control before coming here but it wasn't a problem even on a sunny day. Have to pay extra for breakfast, in which the most notable thing was making our own juice and beautiful outdoor seating.

Loved almost everything. Breakfast is great, very eco friendly and cute room. Neighborhood a bit boring but next to rail and tram. AC minimum feels like 26C, which for me is too hot. Smart building won't allow 24C setting. Cold showers and cool lobby saved me from changing hotels to cool off.

  • 5/5 Nelli S. 1 year ago on Google
Great Hotel not far from the main train station. Not the safest area but if you just stay 1-3 days in Vienna it is perfect as from the station there is a direct train to the airport . The staff is very nice , rooms are clean. Pet friendly although with extra charges.

  • 4/5 Mirjam van der K. 1 year ago on Google
Colourful hotel closely located to the station. Fun room with two levels. We would give five stars if: WiFi would be more stable, plug/outlet would be available next to the bank bed, and if breakfast would be open till a bit later. (10am is too early on vacation!)

Google shows that’s hotel is free for Ukrainians. I sent an email and was told that help rate for Ukrainians is 70 EUR per night. Once I crossed Ukrainian border today an made a call to reception (14.05.2022 at 16:59) to make a reservation for 70 EUR room, they told that everything occupied and booked, they don’t have a free room. But via booking and agora they have a plenty of room for reservation at the moment. Thank you for “help”!

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE DURING SUMMER. The hotel is actually quite nice and funky, but it does not have a functioning AC, it is more like a ventilation system and the staff does not help with this issue at all. I went to the staff during my first night when the cooling wasnt working well. This was during the heat wave (38 degrees) and they advised me to open the window instead. I paid for an AC room, not window cooling. So firstly they are doing false advertising, and secondly they don’t really care enough to help. The heat is basically the only issue though, the location is very convenient otherwise and rooms are nice.

This hotel is close to the main train station, from there you can get easily to the city center within minutes. Ms. Gonzales made my stay special, she is incredibly nice and was very helpful at the morning of the check-out. She is a kind hearted person and an asset to every company.

  • 3/5 Ana e. 1 year ago on Google
Good but not great! Despite the fact it says it has air conditioner, there was no ac and a ventilator instead!!! And eventhough its september but the nights were really really hot! The kids toys and ride ons in the lobby was a GREAT idea although it was stored under the stairs and my 2 year old bumped his head every single time!! They didnt cleaned the rooms and when they did on request, they didnt change the sheets 🥲 There was a chandlier hanging very low in every room which was more like a "knife" and scratched my face and left a deep scar when I was rushing out!🥲 Breakfast on the other hand was quite good and the staff were really friendly despite the little to no english!

Amazing stay, its very well connected, 2 min walk from hbf, tram station is right in front. Rooms are siper cozy, staff is really helpful and prompt. Breakfast was decent, it was repetitive over days and limitwd options. Food and drinks are available late till night.

  • 5/5 Vienna 1 year ago on Google
Clean and comfortable hotel, about 10 minutes walk from the central train station. There is free parking and luggage storage. The downside is that the rooms are too dry, add a humidifier would be better.

Very lovely hotel, good choice for young people. The room I stayed isn't big but lovely, cozy and comfortable (my favorite one among several hotels I ever stayed in the trip). Efficient location and I would love to stay again. Good value in general.
