Good things: Breakfast was delicious. The location of the hotel was very central. The metro station was in front of the hotel. The room was quiet. There was no noise. The room was cleaned every day. Towels and sheets were clean. Bad things: At first the room rate was €280. In addition, the hotel took a deposit of €350 from my credit card. I paid €630 total (€280 room rate + €350 deposit). I was able to get back the €350 after 2 weeks. My deposit was not refunded without sending multiple e-mails. I think €350 deposit being taken from me was related to my being a foreigner. For this reason, I think that non-European guests are discriminated against. It's ridiculous to charge more deposit than the room rate. The minibar in the room was completely empty. The minibar was never refilled.

The staff is helpful and professional. While in a good location. It's difficult to discern where to find the entrance. Uber driver let us off off the pedestrian walkway then we had to go through a tunnel to get to tge entrance. The rooms are clean, roomy, with great workspace but dated. Bedside electrical outlet on only on one side of the bed.

Perfect location. I usually prefer the NH Collection but this hotel was good for my needs and reasonably priced during the week. Centrally located, in the middle of a shopping/restaurant center. Quick walk to the metro. Staff is friendly. Room is clean and quiet. Good water pressure in the shower. Bed was okay, about 3.8/5. Cons Hair dryer 0/5. Very slow speed, takes forever. Not like hair dryers you’ll find at most Spain NH locations that are larger and have more power. Parking garage is tiny and hard to maneuver. No power plugs next to the bed. The sunrise is before 6am and no blackout blinds.

Checked into the NH Wien City on 28 June in room 306 and it is easily the worst NH hotel that I have stayed in. Over 4 days of my stay, I was not able to connect to the Wifi from my room. I kept bringing the issue to the attention of the reception staff like Zoran and Samira and Samira even visited my room but the problem remained unresolved. Even 1 Star hotels make Wifi access available in the room and for the facility to be not available and remain unavailable for the entire 4 days stay in a 4 star hotel is unacceptable. All English channels on TV such as BBC, CNN, etc are not accessible. No hotel sign on Mariahilferstraße which is the hotel’s published address at street level which left us highly perplexed on arrival. Finally found the hotel after some running around. Hotel approach is through an alley. Luggage has to be carried up and down stairs on the way. Two fire alarm activation within an hour requiring entire hotel evacuation occurred on the 28th June. Both activations were caused not due to actual fire but because of issues in the fire alarm system. Better upkeep and maintenance by the hotel would have avoided the nuisance activation and huge discomfort (climbing down 6 floors in the night) and panic. I will never return to either this or any other NH hotel. I will be sharing the experience on Tripadvisor, etc so other travellers can be forewarned and avoid what I faced.

My partner's little sister used his phone and booked this hotel by mistake in an app after we had been browsing hotels for upcoming trips. We tried to contact the hotel via Agoda, directly phone and email to explain the situation and they've been extremely unhelpful and have displayed a complete lack of understanding. We were actually travelling to Vienna but not on the dates which had been booked in error. The hotel would not allow us to change the dates to the correct ones eleven when we offered to pay any difference. The hotel seems greedy and shortsighted as we would have happily stayed with them when we were in Vienna but now would never dream of staying there.

Superb location! Very friendly and helpful stuff. We were a couple with 2 kids and we got a huge room. The room is very old f fashioned and the shower head was defected, messes up my showers... Overall I would recommend it

Pretty central for the main sights. Great selection in the buffet breakfast. Nice rooms, quite spacious.

There are a few pros: quiet room looking into courtyard (# 122), enough space for 3 people, comfortable bed, quiet air conditioner. However, I have to say that cons outweigh all the positive experience that we had. The biggest dismay is being charged twice for all 3 nights of our stay. The full amount was paid upon booking the room a month in advance. During the check out a receptionist said that she will charge city taxes on the card on file. We agreed and rushed to the awaiting taxi. When we arrived home a few days later, I checked the credit card's statement and saw another 682 EUR charge. I contacted the hotel and emailed them the copy of the transaction asking to give me my money back. Unfortunately they are still dragging their feet and "checking" if they actually charged me. It has been more then a week and the issue is still not resolved. As a result, I do NOT recommend this hotel due to the lack of well-trained receptionists, proper customer service and their inability to correct their mistakes in a timely manner.

Excellent location, good for public transportation users. The rooms are mid size, clean, and well stocked. Friendly and helpful stuff. We will come again. Stayed 3 nights end of May 2023

Hotel located at several 100 meters near Vienna central city. Very friendly staff. There is only a breakfast room but no restaurant. But there are so many restaurants and bistros around the hotel that there is no nead of this. Rooms are modern and up to date but bathrooms needs an make over

Great location. Its on the heart of the shopping street with plenty of supermarkets, restaurants/cafes and shopping stores We were able to walk to the main attraction but it would take upto 30 minutes by foot The wifi is so bad, its almost non existent. And the rooms are dated but clean. And staff and quite nice Not much facilities within the hotel but great location

Amazing place to stay when wanting to explore the old city and be able to come back home late. Located on the infamous shopping street, everything is close by. Very professional, very clean and nice.

Central location, easy access to transport and walkable area. Spacious room, modern, pleasant, comfortable. Quiet. Bountiful breakfast buffet. Staff very helpful, friendly, informative.

Great location, clean and functional, but cheerless, plain and old fashioned. No showers, only deep bathtubs, quite dangerous for elderly guests. Tv service just German language chanelles, not always functioning. Not suitable for non German/Austrian tourists. Entrance not very comfortable and front desk service not great. Too skimpy for the price.

I see many complain about the difficulty to find the entrance and I can understand why. The Google location is misleading. Hopefully this explanation can help: when reaching Neubaugasse station do not exit to Mariahilfer street instead take the exit marked "Stiftgasse". You'll exit inside a building, go straight and you'll immediately see signs directing to the lobby. I'd be happy to stay here again.

We have been coming to NH in Vienna in Mariahilfer for many years. Great location. Unfortunately no English speaking stations on the tv as they used to have at least CNN and they had much better coffee machines in the room. Breakfast buffet very nice

Decent hotel, but ambiance is very sad. Entrance is difficult to find. Rooms are good but little gloomy. Could use a little color and better layout. Reception is often left unattended. Only one person for checkin. Stayed for one night and fulfilled the purpose. Could be little cheaper.

hotel's location is great but there are things that you need to beware of: 1. deposit- im not sure if I will ever get back my deposit, tho upon checking out,the receptionist said we will get it in 2 business days, its been more than that and we havent received it. 2. they are very strict on late check in; no reason was provided 3. breakfast is great but no variety 4. swan, the receptionist is a bit condescending whenever we are asking things like "can I know whats the policy for late check out, or what are the timings of breakfast" we have been in different NH hotels from amsterdam to germany but by far this is the worst one.

Right in the heart of mariahilfstrasse. Walking distance to all the monuments. Next to metro station and if you catch the offers is very cheap for 4stars hotel. Friendly staff

Centrally located very near a U3 metro stop although hotel entrance is a bit hidden and can be accessed from two different streets. Hotel staff on reception were great when dealing with our bag and payment requests. Rooms were okay with a decent bed and nice complimentary mineral water and sweet for us on arrival. Unfortunately bathrooms are looking a bit tired and could do with a renovation, the shower/bath combo is bit confusing to operate as well.

A week in this clean centrally located hotel, staff were wonderful, Dora at the reception is very helpful and professional. All staff at the breakfast room were amazing and so was the breakfast. Will definitely recommend and come again. Thank you all very much.

Great location and a fantastic team of staff. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for anyone and plan to stay again next time we are in Vienna. With the U-Bahn underneath, you've got the rest of the city at your doorstep, but even if you are only walking around, everything is accessible from here including the Museum Quarter. The room was large and spacious for the three of us, reception staff very friendly and welcoming, and supermarkets very close by if you want to snack/eat healthy. Whenever we stay in Vienna, we would always wander over to Mariahilfer Strasse, so it was a pleasure to actually stay on the street this time. Thank you NH Hotel staff for a wonderful stay.

Everything is great about the hotel - location, price, very large rooms, nice bathroom with a bathtub, kitchen, except for one thing - wi-fi coverage is non-existent and even the mobile network was Edge in our room. In 2022 you expect the wi-fi to work, no matter if it is paid or free. We've been in the hotel in 2017, the problem was the same, it did not improve. Please update your wi-fi equipment.

Was for a on night stay on business. The address points you to a shopping centre that you have to walk through so a bit confusing. There was construction going on locally that started early morning with loud drilling. Whether last need or not we had power cut so no lights, WiFi and more interestingly no phones work, so could not ring reception to ask how long the power was out for.

easy check in and extremely large and clean room, staff were more than willing to help with any issues and very central to everything, pretty much everything was in walking distance if you don’t mind walking.

Nice hotel for weekend stay in Wienna. Very good location in city center. Rooms clean and with good standard

The service is poor. We had requested early check-in but we were still made to wait for 3 hours. The rooms have hot air radiating through them which makes it extremely suffocating and uncomfortable. We complained but hardly anything was done. Moreover extremely weak wifi--will not recommend.

Excellent location to explore Vienna. There is underground parking for 20€ a day, it’s a little tight with a single entrance/exit, not fun for large vehicles. Nice breakfast options are nearby. Located directly near an underground station. The rooms are big and clean. There were water boilers in the rooms for making tea or instant coffee using the pure Viennese tap water
