If you want to ruin your vacation because of the place you stay, i would offer this hostel. Why? The receptionist and others employees are tired and confused. You can hear 2 opposite thing from 2 of them about a same issue. For example the prices, reservations, rules an services. Like there's no management and everyone decide on own. Internet is like drops of water. Sheets and towels smells. During two days i see tree customers complaining and leaving the hostel including us. And at the end, we left because their miscommunication about our reservation .manger was absolutely rude and impolite and asked extra money to let us stay. Awful experience.

the hostel is an hours walk from city centre, and it is deceiving on hostel world as it doesn’t have a kitchen or bar and is in the most dangerous area of vienna. as a young girl it was very scary as there were a lot of creepy men both in and outside of the hostel. you have to pay to lock your locker and i didn’t sleep well at all due to a very inconsiderate room mate. the charging plugs were very temperamental and the lockers don’t fit a bag in. really wouldn’t recommend staying here.

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS HOSTEL. Please. Don't. Spend that extra 10-20 euros and go to the other hostel. It's worth it. To start was with, the customer service at the reception was horrible. The answer to any question is "NO". The room was dingy, the roommates were shady. One day, there was a drunk roommate blabbering with everyone in the morning. This was uncomfortable and I left the room for the entire day. The bed was uncomfortable. The room was terribly hot. And opening the window made it extremely cold. The lockers are useless as they don't fit any bag. The bed doesn't have any curtains. No kitchen, refrigerator or cutlery or any kind. Cleanliness is a joke. The sheets aren't changed after a guest vacates. The toilet wasn't cleaned for 2+ days despite me complaining at the reception. If you care about your hygiene and safety, choose a different hostel. I had to get away from the room and only came back in the night to sleep and shower. It was a huge mistake for me to book this hostel. Trust me. Stay away from this hostel, regardless of what the admin will reply to this comment.

This hostel will just waste your money! There are 3 things that I hate here: 1: The bedsheet, blanket and pillowcases smelled like sweat, urine and body odor. It feels like they haven’t change it since forever. It is never clean. It was not a comfortable sleep knowing that your bed is super dirty. 2: The receptionist is so so so rude. They don’t know how to treat a customer right. They are the most unpleasant receptionist I have ever met. Even when you are just asking a simple question about your room, they will sound so defensive and rude! 3: There is no towel available. The toilet is dirty too. I stayed here with a friend. Both of us were unsatisfied. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. YOU CAN FIND A BETTER OPTION.

I stayed there twice. I like the pressure of shower is same with my home. And most of the staff of reception and housekeeping are nice and helpful. And the room rate is low. At this price, you can't complain it. I met two women roommates who came from Norway who were not friendly and even mean, troublesome and not considerate for other people.I think they should stay in a hotel. It's a hostel, you can't demand a standard as a hotel. Thank you for the housekeeping staff who work hard. Appreciate.

I was at the A&T Hostel with 4 Friends during a Trip to Austria. We all really enjoyed the stay! The Service was great, the staff was respectfull and nice and the rooms were clean and provided enough space for all of us! The Hostel is really close to the metro, you get in the city center really fast. Breakfast was tasty! 10/10 would book again!

Not bad for a hostel. Nice clean comfortable rooms. Better than expected. Breakfast was OK. No alternative milk provided though. However, supermarkets were available in walking distance from hostel. The location is quiet and easily accessible with trams to Vienna Central train stations within walking distance from hostel. The staff were helpful and spoke/understood English. In terms of safety, just have to vigilant when out and about in this area as our group of mostly females were harassed.

What a nice place! Stayed in a 4-bed female room and the first night it was just me, second night another woman. The room was super clean, also the bathroom. Shower was just amazing!! And you’re gonna have the best night of sleep because the neighborhood is soooooo quiet, you don’t hear anything! The only down part is that they don’t rent towels, they just sell them for 7€. But oh well, it’s still 5 stars for me! Would def stay again, great price!

Great location, clean rooms. But… When booking through hostalworld the site changed the dates (a bug in the software that was fixed since then). I didn’t catch the change until when i got the booking confirmation. Immediately cancelled and rebooked ensuring correct date this time. However, a&t hostals refused to refund the incorrect booking. Hostalworld refunded their share. Every relationship (business, personal, intimate…) is based on trust and good will. I can no longer trust this business, as they seem to not have any good will but only greed to collect money any way possible. I won’t go back there…

I only stayed here one night because I have been to Vienna before and just needed a bed. I stayed in a 8 bed mixed dorm that only had six people. From the very beginning I liked this hostel. It looked more like a motel. It actually looks pretty new. The place was clean everywhere I went. The room and bathroom was clean also. I had a top bed and it felt sturdy when I was in it. The only thing a person might not like is the fact that there was no kitchen, at least I didn't see one. The staff is professional and you get the feeling that this is a safe place to stay. There are lockers in the room and there is a 10 Euro refundable deposit to get a key. There is also a five Euro deposit for the electronic room key. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

I recently had an extremely unsettling experience during my stay at this hostel, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts to ensure the safety and well-being of potential guests. Unfortunately, my stay was marred by a series of incidents that left me deeply disappointed and concerned about the hostel’s management and staff. From the moment I arrived, I was met with a disappointing level of service. The personnel exhibited a rude and unprofessional attitude, which immediately set a negative tone for my stay. However, the most distressing incident occurred when I discovered a man behaving inappropriately, naked and touching himself in a shared room where other guests were sleeping. I promptly reported the situation to the receptionist, hoping for a swift and appropriate response to ensure the safety of all guests. To my shock, the receptionist’s reaction was far from satisfactory. Instead of taking immediate action to protect the guests, the receptionist refused to address the issue adequately. Despite my pleas to change the room and ensure the security of all guests, I was met with resistance. Even more concerning was the fact that the receptionist allowed the situation to persist, leaving the inappropriate individual with other guests who were unaware and vulnerable. The alternative room I was eventually offered was subpar, with cleanliness and basic amenities severely lacking. The unclean bed and overall unhygienic conditions further added to my discomfort. To compound the unsettling experience, upon attempting to return to my original room to retrieve my belongings, I discovered yet another unauthorized individual in my bed. This person had not only invaded my space but also utilized my personal belongings without permission. Such a flagrant breach of privacy and security is completely unacceptable. In my pursuit of justice, I contacted Booking to express my concerns and provided them with evidence in the form of a video capturing the inappropriate behavior of the individual in question. I hope that this evidence will prompt the necessary actions to address the situation and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. It is with a heavy heart that I must caution anyone considering staying at this hostel. The disturbing incidents I encountered, coupled with the unresponsive and unhelpful attitude of the staff, create an environment that is not conducive to a safe and enjoyable stay. I implore all potential guests, particularly female travelers, to prioritize their safety and well-being by avoiding this hostel altogether. Your peace of mind and security should never be compromised in such a manner.

It was okay, a 10 minute walk away from u1 so that was nice. It was far away from everything so there was nothing to do around the hostel. Our room had its own bathroom though so that was nice. The view was a container of trash

We had a private room in the Dachgeschos (attic) for 3 nights. So my review only applies for these kind of rooms. The private bathroom was clean, the sheets seemed relatively clean (there was no sweat smell but they weren't totally fresh either), the towels were fresh, the room was dusty (this could be because of the construction next to this building). Still, considering the location it was okay (5 minutes walk from tram station). There was no shared kitchen to make even a cup of coffee for yourself which I believe is a basic thing for most hostels these days. The biggest issue for us was that there was little to no wifi signal in our room. This review is the same across all guests as I can see. Dear A&T, please invest 20€ to buy routers to use as signal extenders, it's not rocket science. People use their hard earned money to come stay at your business, don't swindle them like this. I wouldn't recommend this place as the staff didn't seem very welcoming either. Spend 5-10€ more and stay at a better place with all basic amenities since 2015

Location was good but the rooms weren’t clean at all. The water smelled, the bathroom smelled, the bed sheets smelled too. The receptionists were kind of desperate just to take our money for anything at all, but they were also rude and tired of tourists. Their rules are also quite ridiculous. I wouldn’t come back here unless I had no other choice… Really bad experience. Wouldn’t recommend

I am Not content with my visit at A&T Holiday Hostel. I have stayed in several hostels around Europe, but this was very bad. What made me unhappy was the following: - Firstly, the beds were not bedded with clean sheets. I lived in a room with four beds and saw three girls sleeping in the same bedding without it being changed. I also where in the room one of the days when the cleaning staff came and saw with my own eyes that they only brushed off the bed and put back the same used duvet and pillow. I could also feel that my own sheets did not smell clean when I first arrived. - Secondly, the reception at the reception was not particularly pleasant. Was often met with a tired receptionist. - Thirdly, it was extremely hot in the room, felt like sleeping in a sauna. There was not a single fan whatsoever. As I said, I have slept in other hostels in the same price range, during this hot summer and have never experienced such a hot room. - Another thing to keep in mind is that the Wi-Fi only works downstairs in the reception. The only thing I felt was positive was that the bathroom and shower - they were fresh. - Conclusion due to not clean sheets and extreme heat, I do not recommend this hostel, there are both cheaper and better ones.

The rooms were very clean and our room had its own bathroom which was nice. Each bed had its own plug for charging. The lady at the check in counter was also really nice and helpful. We paid to use their washing machines as well, which was wonderful to be able to wash our clothes.

The staff wasn't particularly pleasant, there is no kitchen or even a kettle to make a tea, which is very important for the hostel. Also they charge a lot of additional fees (for the room key, for locker key). There's a construction building nearby so you won't be able to sleep past 8 AM. Also an early check out is a minus. The room itself was small for 3 people but clean. The shower was great and the beds are comfortable. Not very far to the city centre (underground is in 10 minutes from the place)

Extremely hot inside, one cannot even breath inside of your room. One is forced to stay outside until night because of that. There is almost no one in that hostel for obvious reasons. Don't get fooled by those 5 stars reviews. It was the worst out of many I have stayed in on my vacation to Vienna. Let's not forget the smell and how dirty it was, I wasn't even given sheets to cover my bed (I have gotten them in every single hostel I have stayed, so I was kinda expecting them), on a positive note there was a little shampoo and shower gel in the shower. The only reason most people go there is because it's close to the airport and is one of the cheapest option (depending on the room). If you have the chance I advise you to find some other place to stay even if it's little more far from the airport. A couple of minutes more won't make the difference, but the experience you will have there will and you wish you had listened to me. Outside at night there is no one on the streets. All one can see is desolation and there is nothing really to see around the area. If you pay in crash one has to give an insurance of 10€ for the keys of the locker and 5€ for the key. But I don't see anything wrong with that really, I was given the 15€ back without any hassles. Just wanted to let you know. Actually I had to ask the locker key at the reception, otherwise I wouldn't have received one. As no one goes there the bar and everything else was closed and you would hardly ever see people.

We took double room only for two us, with double bed, to find out that double bad is actually two single beds placed next to each other. No Any kind of sleepers in the room, no tooth brush, only one towel per person and it's a bit smelly. Price was 57EUR per day and for that money we expected more.

You get a good deal for what you pay at this place. The location is close to the metro station and tram and also the local market. The bathrooms are clean and fresh. The decorations and paintings are abundant and they represent the Austrian culture. The wifi is poor in the rooms.

One of the best hostels I've stayed in! Beds were super comfy, shower was excellent, room was clean, washer and dryer in the basement. I got lucky because no one else had checked into the dorm I was using for two nights :) The reception staff were super helpful and friendly (the girl working reception when I was checking in was under a LOT of pressure dealing with different guests, but she remained very polite). The hostel is a flat and easy 7 minute walk from the nearest train station and there are different grocery shops nearby. While it's not a central hostel, it's simple to get to.

I stayed one week, it was very nice and clean. They have a very kind service for the customers. I suggest you all if you are visiting Vienna.

  • 2/5 Ante 2 months ago on Google New
Unfortunately worst than I thought, the most basic hygiene items are not free (towls) which you have to pay for them (unless like the other hostels), the location is far away from the city and I the only way you can get to it is with the Metro Line U1, and then walk 10 min. more. The person sleeping in our room wouldn't stop eating chips and watching something on his phone. Other guests were trying to sleep as well. Breakfast is not included and the bar was closed. Not much to do.

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for five days in April, so the hostel was relatively empty. Check-In starts at 3 pm. We chose to sleep in an all women's dormitory and had our own bathroom including soap and shower gel, which felt quite luxurious. The beds were comfortable (such nice pillows!) and the housekeeping cleaned the rooms on a regular basis. There is also a rule that obliges guests to keep quiet in the evening (starting at 10 pm), so it was absolutely possible to get a good nights sleep. Lockers can be used for a deposit of 10€ each. Sadly, there is no possibility to cook, not even using hot water only, because there are no devices available. However, it was a lovely stay and we would absolutely book this hostel again.

  • 3/5 Pavel 10 months ago on Google
It’s perfectly clean and nice and comfortable. While it’s far from the city centre, it’s not far from Hauptbahnhof and it’s in a cheap district where you can have a schnitzel for €11. Overall, I would come back again. However, I hate when hostels don’t give towels. Selling towels is a scam. There are no additional showers on the floor, so if someone is stuck in the shower in your room, you have no other choice but waiting.

I was staying at the hostel with my sister. We booked through hostelworlds where there were only beds in separate rooms available since everything else was booked. When I checked in, the really nice guy at the reception immediately asked me if he should book us in the same room without me even having to mention anything. What a great service!! The room was also a pleasant surprise, very clean. The Christmas decoration in the lounge was also a really nice touch. I'm really happy we decided to book this hostel.

The place was terrible, the sheets were so disgusting and they smelled like urine. The staff were so rude and we paid for breakfast too but nothing there was worth eating and the dishes were not cleaned well. Also the rooms were not clean at all there was dust everywhere. I would never recommend this place to anyone specially to people who deal with allergies and similar stuff.

I liked this hostel. Reception was very welcoming even when I got there a bit earlier. Lobby is spacious and clean. Has two elevators, bar and other facilities. They were able to change my reservation to an all girls room, so that was great. Best and more functional laundry room in a hostel I've seen so far.

  • 2/5 Paula A. 3 years ago on Google
The positive: It’s a really big building and modern. The bedroom has a private bathroom which you share with the people in your bedroom only. It’s 30min walk from the main railway station and many undergrounds and trams. The negative: the cleaning should be improved. When I got there the bedroom and bathroom were completely dirty and disgusting. It wasn’t until the next afternoon that they cleaned (change the bin bags and put toilet paper, the floor was never cleaned) . And it was the only time in 3 nights (four days). In the bedrooms there are lockers but you aren’t provided with a key and you can’t use your own lock. There was no kitchen, so you can’t have breakfast or cook your own food.

The place is clean and tidy. Comfortable beds, very nice service. Very decent price. Guests can use free wi-fi, soap and shampoo. Comparing similarly priced hostels in Poland, this one is a very pleasant surprise. The disadvantage is the large distance from the center. I recommend! :)

Ok location, ok service, but please please please clean the room/bed before assignment. It's really gross to sleep in a bed that has not been cleaned, after someone (or others) have slept in it. I know it's a budget place, but this is a necessity.
