Do not recommend this hotel to anyone who respect themselves. As we came to this hotel on 16 of June it was quite unpleasant receptionist who did tell us nothing helpful accept breakfast hours. The furniture in room is not awful and very useful wardrobe area but in the bathroom was a terrible smell from the toilet. We enjoyed Vienna so much but unfortunately on the last night the same receptionist spoiled our mood. We asked to pay because we had train at 8a.m. and didn’t want to spend time for all this in the morning. There started some problem with printer and we were asked to make it in the morning because of this technical problem, that’s understandable, after that I asked to book us a taxi but the receptionist refused to do it because as he said it is unnecessary, also I asked how much it usually takes to get to the railway station because it’s morning time, I didn’t receive any answer accept “it is a city with million people, of course there will be traffic”, as for me it is snobbish form of conversation, I actually came from the city with 4 millions of people and that’s why I’m asking because usually in hotels with 4-5 stars I got those information easily. And the best part - I asked to pack a snack for us, since we are leaving early and there is a kid with us and get an answer that breakfast is from 6:30 so as I understood he decided for me at what time should I leave a hotel and on his opinion I have plenty of time to have a breakfast with a kid in 10 minutes and doesn’t matter if maybe I wanted to leave hotel earlier to be sure I get on time. So I asked maybe I can come and have at least some croissant to take away because it’s quite early and I don’t if my daughter eat something in that time but he refused me even in this (as for me it’s absurd, it is much cheaper to take two croissants than to have breakfast). I asked that maybe he can help us because all the shops nearby star to work much later and I don’t have a possibility to buy food because it was Sunday, this unpleasant man answered me that he has three kids and it’s not his problem. I’ve told him that his broken printer is not my problem but I somehow remain understanding after that he start to tell me thank several times because whatever he says I have my own opinion, found myself in 15 century as a woman who has no right to speak. Also we were charged extra 90 euros for the garage we didn’t use because we came by intercity and asked for the taxi maybe just to have fun. I think this is a scam! In the morning nobody helped us with luggage. I must remind it is a 4 star hotel with no bathrobe, slippers or toiletries (only soap). It is awful, unacceptable client service!!!

Excellent hotel in the center of Vienna. The building carries hundreds of years of history that it wants to share with its occupants. Unparalleled luxury and attention to every detail of the wonderful decoration. Kind and pleasant staff always willing to make your stay better. The breakfast buffet is wonderful and everything is delicious. Ten minutes walk to the center of Vienna.

AIR CON, it was lovely temperatures 34⁰c . The staff were all very friendly. Very good breakfast options help yourself with cereal, yoghurt, fruit, eggs(scrambled and boiled),sausage, bacon, cheese, and meat selection tea's, coffee, and fruit juice loads of different breads and Danish pastries. The evening meal we had was very tasty and the service was great too. The room was a little bit small (but there were 3 of us) a double bed and a sofa bed. It was clean and serviced every day. The hotel was just on the edge of the main town 2 minute walk and tram outside the door and big red bus just down the road. It's close to local shops and restaurants couldn't ask for more.

Very helpful and attentive staff. Beautiful interior and rooms. Very clean. Can be a little noisy on the street side rooms as the trams do rumble by but it’s a city centre hotel, not a country retreat!

We had a great stay in this hotel. Room was cozy and super clean. The staff are wery friendly, helpful and professional. Very good breakfast. This hotel has a very nice bar with extremely tasty strudels. Several supermarkets are near. Short walk to center. 1 thing though: there is a church very near with loud bells. Overall: I will gladly stay again in this hotel next time I visit beautiful Vienna.

Wonderful hotel ! Only 10 minutes away (if you walk slow) from old Vienna, which is quite convenient for tourism. Breakfast is a buffet which proposes a variety of local specialties as well as some international dishes such as bacon, eggs, etc. Last but not least, the staff is incredibly sweet and helpful. They can provide you with pretty much anything you need, from an HDMI cable to emotional support if you happen to get a nervous breakdown because of your dad. 100% would recommand.

I went with a friend for breakfast and then returned on my own because breakfast in a good Viennese hotel can keep you fed for the whole day. The atmosphere was wonderful, and the breakfast buffet was abundant, but not properly refilled, so there weren't any scrambled eggs for a while before someone replaced it. It seemed like different folks had super specific jobs and there may have been a few clueless young trainees. It took me several attempts to reach the super efficient older server who cashed me out. The price was not fully unreasonable for the variety, but the quality was not the kind that will make me come back. US21. You can see the assortment in my pics. It was 9.30 on a Saturday. Draw your own conclusions.

I attended a workshop here (did not stay overnight). Service = Supply of beverages and snacks was very good, the lunch buffet was OK - choice of dishes (three main dishes, sometimes one of them vegetarian) was a bit uninspired. On the whole, the hotel seems to be a bit struggling to find a good way for including its age (oldest hotel in Vienna, continuously operating since 1600 = for 420 years - the actual buildings seem to be a bit younger, I'd guess 1830s) in its flair without actually looking worn.

Conveniently close to work location, reasonable price, clean, professional staff. Only thing was, some employer billing info from Booking forms was not transferred in entirety, but this was sorted out within few minutes. Overall very content.

A unspoilt traditional hotel a few minutes from the main centre and less than a mile from Prater Park. Full of lovely antique furniture, clocks and other historic items. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. The breakfast choice was plentiful and the room comfortable, spacious and very clean.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Stefanie. It’s a short walk to the city center in Vienna and nearly all the attractions. It’s also a short walk to a number of subway and tram stations, and a short connection to the City to Airport Train. The accommodations are all up to date, but the hotel retains some of its historical character. My room was very quiet, and I had no problem as a (very) light sleeper. The breakfast buffet is also not to be missed. The staff at the front desk were all very accommodating. They even called a restaurant for me to make a reservation since my cell plan wasn’t making calls while in Europe.

I must say I have travelled the world and this hotel has everything. The staff were excellent, breakfast gorgeous, rooms really well presented and location excellent. Bar across the street, bank across street, supermarket couple doors down, Tram passing front door of hotel and 2 U bahn stations within 5 min walk. I would honestly recommend this hotel all day long and twice on a Sunday.

Best place in town. The oldest still operating hotel in Vienna. They once had 90 Horse parking spots 😂 some hundred years ago. Love it there. Been often and will happily return. Top staff and the breakfast ist fabulous too. Central.

Stayed 5 nights. Interesting hotel with many vintage items around. The service was courteous and helpful, clean rooms. The breakfast had a good and fresh variety. The location is a bit out of the center but walking distance with public transport nearby.

Truly a great stay :-) the location is perfect - 2 mints away to the tram station and less than 5 mints to another tram stop and the metro and also it’s near the river. If you are taking the city cruise, the pier is also about 4 mints away from the hotel. About 5 mints walk to the main street with lots of shops and restaurants which will lead to many popular must-see spots such as St. Stephen’s Cathedral and others in about ten mints altogether from the hotel itself. The room is very clean and well equipped with the essential. The service is very friendly and attentive :-) The breakfast was also my favorite in a gorgeous restaurant and with a good spread of variety! I will definitely come back for my next trip in Vienna!

This was our first trip to Vienna and stayed at this lovely hotel for 12 nights. Everything was very nice. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. The room was a good size and our room had a large bathtub to relax in after a day walking around Vienna. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We would return here again if visiting Vienna.

Amazing experience! Staying at the oldest hotel was the cherry on the cake in the cultural getaway that I planned for my birthday. Travelled solo so was very surprised to see a chocolate cake (really good) and a bottle of rose waiting for me. Great customer service, from cleaning, to restaurant, concierges and receptionists. Asides this, it's really close to the city centre, on a short walking distance or across the street by tram. 11/10.

Very nice ambience, the staff is good, polite and very nice. The food was good as well. I only was there as part of a marriage celebration so I know nothing of the rooms and whatnot.

First of all, everyone who works here is SO kind! You can really feel the warmth and hospitality from every staff member and they really care about their guests. I traveled here alone and felt perfectly safe as a solo female traveler. My room was a perfect size for me and was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was such a nice bonus and kept me full until dinner time! I also loved sitting at the bar and trying sachertorte - so good! It was so cool to stay at this historic property and even though you can tell some of it is dated, that’s kind of the whole point!! If you want to stay somewhere more modern, then you won’t fully appreciate the magic of this hotel!

Would highly recommend the hotel for visits to Vienna. Great location, nearest tram stop is 1 minute walk from hotel, 10 minutes walk to city centre or 15 walk minutes to Prater theme park. The hotel style is classic, well appointed, good sized rooms, and very clean throughout. The service is friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is very good buffet selection, eggs, cheese, Hams, breads and fruits. There is a small bar for evening drinks. We were treated with a bottle of cava for our anniversary and chocolates for Easter Sunday.

Great ambiance. Highly recommend!Stayed here twice. Real old-world feel It’s the oldest hotel in Vienna. Centrally located. Walking distance to many of the sites and near tram stations to get to places that aren’t nearby. Great service. There is also an option for a kosher breakfast that was quite nice.

The breakfast is quite good, the people are nice and the room are confortable. Howe the price is quite expensive. It is not located in the heart of the old vienne but close enough and not far from a metro station and the line 4 can get you straight to the opera or Schonbrunn.

Hotel Stefanie is a beautiful hotel with excellent food. The ambiance is lovely. The service personnel were also very attentive and good! It is also Vienna's oldest hotel! 😊👌👍

It's a nice 3-star hotel with some details that would entitle it to claim a four one. A piece of old Vienna frozen in time that seems to appeal to senior guests as I could see during breakfast. Incidentally, their coffee is truly undrinkable, not a nice way to start your day (for that they would deserve one star). Staff polite if somehow a bit stiff, perhaps also a touch of times long gone.
